Spybot also has some tools which "immunize" your computer from spyware. A forewarning: Sometimes removing spyware can kill certain programs like Kazaa.
-
Ya'll have never had problems with Adaware? It killed my net connection on 2 or 3 computers running different OSs.
-
Go to www.download.com and do a search for Spybot, like Dirtbikez said. Make sure to check for updates before running the search in the program. I'd stay away from Adaware. It screwed up the network connections on a couple of my computers. Spyware is usually installed in popup ads so get yourself a good popup blocker. The Google toolbar blocks popups, but I can't tell ya how well it works.

How Long Do You Last On Gas
KRMit replied to BaNsHEE ELiMiNaToR's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yeah, mine burns a LOT of fuel too. I rode with someone that has a 450r last time. I ran through two tanks of fuel and he was still working on his one. One person said you get a little better gas mileage with the Trinity CV. I'm really hoping this is true. -
Sorry about that. I just freed up some space so feel free to PM me. Does the advanced timing have anything to do with this? Would things mellow down any if I backed down to +2 or stock?
-
I did a little riding today before leaning back out the needle. It's definately too rich. Anyway, in either position the throttle seems "twitchy". I can really only ride up to about 1/4 throttle, everything after that is only good for drag racing or spinning my tires. I've never ridden another Banshee so I dunno if it's just mine or what. Is this the way it is for everyone? Once my bike hits the powerband the RPMs skyrocket, even if I don't push the throttle further than halfway. I mainly do a lot of jumping and that twitchy throttle is hazardous to my health. 4 strokes can hold a steady speed and nail a jump the same every time. I'm hit or miss depending on how I blip the throttle on the ramp. I'm hoping the Trinity setup will make it more rideable.

You use gas to clean it out of the filter or the airbox? It will gradually eat away at your filter if you're using it for that, but shouldn't hurt the airbox.
-
How much does chroming the pipes usually run?
-
I wouldn't. It's not a real bad idea, but it's just about as fast to just take the airbox out. I don't spray mine anyway, I use a wet rag. I don't think that air filter oil is going to spray out, it takes a little scrubbing. *EDIT* Sometimes I don't know what I'm thinking. The airbox is NOT easy to get out, I forgot you have to take the rear fenders off. I still don't think spraying would work though.
-
At the risk of being picked on, I must say I like the fenders. I don't like the idea of copying another quad or being a wanna-be, but I like the Raptor fenders. I don't like other things about Raptors, but the fenders are sweet. Zest Orange? I wish they had a pic. Black front and rear fenders would look sick with orange gas tank cover a grill.

What Did You Notice When You Lightned Your Flywhee
KRMit replied to nickxc's topic in General Banshee Discussion
How much does lightening the flywheel usually cost? How much would you do it for Boonman, and what about the shift star? -
That's what I wanted to know. I'll send the info to dude and hopefully he can figure it out. Thanks guys!
-
That's really what I wanted to know. I'll probably go back one clip leaner. Since going richer the top RPMs kinda gurgle unless I have the airbox lid off. As long as that won't make it blow up. I was trying to make the powerband more controllable. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for the Trinity CV kit.
-
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try that jetting when I get it. What exactly do you measure? Won't I need to know the size of the carb to get the jets or are they the same?
-
Thanks a lot for the offer! BigBansheeBoy found his and is sending them to me though. It's nice being a member of a community that helps each other out so generously.
-
Yeah, sorry, got this post confused with another one. I was thinking this was the one where dude has oil coming out one of his pipes. I really need to reread posts before replying.

Yeah, they use bandwidth, but not Lee's bandwidth right? If I'm wrong about this I may need to change some things on my message board, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. For it to use the hosting server's bandwidth the offsite images would have to be temporarily stored on the server while the viewer is on the page. This just isn't the case... I'm pretty sure. Correct me if I'm wrong. Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset like this twirp. I'm not really even upset about giving up sig images. And actually now that I think about it, Lee could have been referring to it using too much of the user's bandwidth trying to load all those images. In which case, very understandable.
-
$44?? Wow. I better keep my eyes open on Ebay.
-
I hate giving up the pic of my Shee in my sig. I put some work into resizing that and mending together. Oh well. Some people did have some outrageous sigs that would take up a whole screen. I guess Lee can't really be picky though. It's really all or none. One question though... Why was bandwidth an issue with signatures? They're being pulled from other Internet locations, not the HQ. Not trying to be a rebel, just curious.
-
Then wouldn't it run lean? Did you make sure to put the choke tube and crossover tube back on? Could it be something in the cylinders since they were just rebuilt? Have you checked compression? I don't know if this could cause it, but are you sure the float bowls are on the right carbs?
-
I might have found someone I can get the Trinity CV Manifold kit from. He doesn't know what size carb is on it and neither of us know how to tell the difference. He said it looks like the one in the picture on Trinity's site, so at least it's probably one that comes in their kit. Therefore it's probably the 33 or 35mm, but how can ya tell? I guess it depends on the size of the carb, but can anyone give a little jetting advice as well? Dude's bike had a lot of mods so I'm sure it's going to be too rich for me and I have no idea where to start. I'm at about 500 ft elevation and my mods are listed in my sig. Thanks!
-
I've just about got enough $ to maybe afford to get this thing, but not new. Is anyone selling?
-
How can you tell you've got the clip in the best position? There's no way I know of to do a plug check. Where I had them before it would accelerate like a demon, but was hard to keep at a stable speed. I moved it one notch richer and now it's a little more controllable but there's bottom-end hesitation.
-
You'd be my savior!! Whoever had my Shee before me used some retarded looking makeshift brackets that I hate.
-
Isn't that a bit steap if they need the rubber replaced? Where can you get that stuff from anyway? I've tried using rubber hose and it'll melt.
