YFZ shocks are an easy upgrade. there is a writeup on the 2nd or 3rd page of this forum explaining with pictures, how to install them. i'm very pleased that i upgraded to them i just couldnt justify spending the outrageous amount of $ it costs for Works or Elkas or the like. drag race shocks for my Camaro were'nt even that expensive you should be able to find a nice set off EBAY for around $250 give or take a little depending on condition they are a taller shock then stock tho. and have read that they put your ball joints at a not so optimal angle, but i have yet to read of any failures because of them. also from what i know, they only seem to work with stock a-arms.

reason i ask, is there are auctions on EBAY for seat covers that say for "sport foam only". i was wondering if there is a dfferent seat type then the rather plush seat i see on all the shees i have come across. thanks MM

the ones i saw, criss crossed at the head pipe. most of the large chamber was inside the frame underneath the radiator and had alot of the long skinny section from about the front fender back

i cut mine too. said fuck it. pics are in the image section i'd like to see pics of how yours are shaped after cutting. from what i have seen, there is about 5-6 different ways people do them (for the most part) hell, if i had an extra set i wouldnt hesitate havent ridden it with'em cut yet. but i agree with Wallace, mud and getting dirty/wet comes with the territory on these OFF ROAD vehicles might as well do it on a trick looking shee

cool. rear shock is still on the bike, too expensive for an aftermarket one (yikes!!) send me your address. i'll send them to you and then you can send me a money order for $50 after you recieve them. hows that sound? i can get them out sometime this week thru FedEx. my paypal is limited right now because of an inpatient guy who filed a dispute last friday for a part that arrived this monday. so i cant recieve money right now until that is cleared up Steve

theres a video on Ferraris website of Michael Schumachers car on a drag strip! does a 7-8sec 1/4mile @ like 180mph rpm's with those thngs is all about very short stroke, very large bore and an electronic infinitely adjustable valvetrain (on the newest motors anyway) theres also a good Honda video of an F1 motor on an engne dyno. shows it breathing in the atmosphere as it cycles thru the revs

i'll sell my red fronts for $50 shipped ~20hrs. on them off a 2003 no leaks. i upgraded to YFZ450 shocks, only reason for the sale. i'll get some pics by tomorrow night if you are interested. steve

springs are a little chipped. but they dont leak and worked well when i took them off. spring color is red they were on the quad for ~20hrs. asking $60 shipped thru FedEx ground Steve
