  1. i shipped a motor to OR and im in new york , i put it in a cheap styrofoam cooler (fit perfect ) then put it in a box and shipped it with fed ex , it was around 75-80 bucks , UPS wanted 130 bucks. the only thing with items over a certain weight it has to go to commercial address , banshee motor is over the weight limit
  2. that is cheap , i live in new york , last week i shipped a frame from new york to california and it was 86 bucks with fed ex , wasnt to bad ,
  3. fed ex is always cheaper then ups , i never tried greyhound ,
  4. a clean air filter is the major key to having a long lasting topend , sand and dirt will kill your topend ,
  5. hell yes , make sure you lube your ass before drop them off at shipper ,, i have found out fed ex is the cheapest by far for larger items , the best way to ship tires is to just shrink wrap them together . alaska is verry expensive , i also found out that if a address has ( RR ) in it , it means rurale rode that the person lives in the middle of nowhere and the shipping is almost double .
  6. i would drain oil , take off clutch cover , pull clutch out and try to flush the best you can , if it was my bike i would split the cases and clean all the sand out . then i would find the kids that did it and burn their house down with their whole family inside !
  7. they must have listed them under womens underwear on ebay , i have never saw them go that cheap , if i did i would buy them and just relist them and make a bundle
  8. apples and oranges
  9. go to a plumbing supply house and ask for a boiler brush , it like a wire brush on a long flexible wire , they come in different shape and sizes and brush stiffness . they are used to clean heating boilers out , maybe they will work on the inside of your pipes ,
  10. are the new bars fat bars without the cross brace (1 1/8 ) or are they stock size renthals ( 7/8 ) , fat bars wont fit in stock clamp. a little space is ok , i would tighten the front and back bolts down even , so there is a small space in front and back instead of just having space in the back (hard to explain )
  11. are you sure those are real pwk's , they just dont look right , and they dont look like they have the chrome slide , there are knock off 's out there with keihin's name on them . cpw told me that oko's are made by keihin , just doesnt have the name because of copy right laws or something like that . 160 for those , i paid 185 for oko's , came with new motion pro cable and 6 extra jets , and jetted close for my shee , and the carbs are verry nice , had a problem and called cpw and the guy helped me right away
  12. this is a stock motor , i figured it was stock just wanted to make sure , i know they usually say the bore on them i dont know what kind of pistons they are , maybe vito's they dont look like oem's
  13. i think cpw is the only place that sells those carbs
  14. therei s a website that sells paint to match any bike , they sell it in spray cans , they have all yamaha colors , i will try to find out the site name again and post it .
  15. no fucking way , not me , thats a broken neck waiting to happen . who ever buys that kit should have their head examined
  16. where do you live ?
  17. i have a set of cylinders and pistons and trying to tell what size bore they are on , the pistons say , ( 50-520P ), on them and under that it says ( STD ) on them , does this mean standard bore , as in stock bore?
  18. yes they do , i have a set of older fmfs in my shop and they look just like them , except with the ends cut off
  19. i got them from carb parts warehouse on ebay , and i had them next day shipped , ordered them on a thursday and had them on friday in time for the weekend , it was only like 15-20 bucks more for the shipping
  20. do a compression test , thats what determines whether or not you run race fuel
  21. i see alot of people doing the yfz shock swap onto the banshee , i think its a waste , they are not ment to be on the banshee , they are not valved correctly for the banshee , same goes for the a arm swap , for the amount you are going to pay for yfz shocks ( 250-300 ) you can get aftermarket non ressy shocks that are valved correctly . yfz a arms are selling for around 200 on ebay , ASR a arms for a banshee are 300 bucks on ebay. i know alot of guys are going to get their panties in a bunch over me saying this but its true , i have ohlins fronts and + 2 +1 a arms , and a friend has yfz shocks and +2+1 arms and you cant even compare the 2 , mine handle way better , and the funny thing is he paid more for his yfz's than i did for my ohlins . i saw a set of ohlins with ressy's sell for 275 on ebay last week , just my 2 cents , for the amount you will spend on the yfz sawp you can a front end that is made for you banshee,
  22. i got a 98 perfect with papers , just waiting for my new frame to get back from powder coating , and then do the swap ,
  23. shops around me ( new york ) want 300 bucks to pc banshee frames
  24. i called carb parts warehouse (where i got the carbs from) and they told me the same thing , it was in the middle clip i went 1 clip up towards the blunt end , started it and it seemed to run fine but i didnt ride it yet , the next day or so i will try it out ,
  25. i have the 30mm oko's with v-force 3's and and they bolted up fine , did not hit the clutch arm ,
