  1. got my new ball joints from ricky stator , they fit perfectly .
  2. i have raced a lt 450 with a cherry bomb and yosi pipe and it was very fast , it was a very close race almost even , but i have more top end so i would pull on him at the end if its a long race. my brother has a trx 450 with a hrc kit and it is very fast he used to beet me before i got my new carbs (30 mm) , now i take him by a bike or 2 , my mods are trail port , v force 3's , 30 mm pwk knock offs , +4 timing advance ,toomey t-5's , k +n no lid , so my banshee is pretty fast , i have no problems beating stock 450's but when they started adding mods they really are fast , i havent raced a 450 with a big bore kit yet and im not sure i want to.
  3. if it has 475 dollar port job and 35 mm carbs it probably has a pretty agressive port job , probably not going to be very trail friendly , unless they open fast trails , might want to think about a 2 -1 carb , will give you a little bottom end power , paul turner mid range pipes will give you some bottom end power for trail riding , t-5's are awsome pipes but they are made for top end power .
  4. i shipped a frame last week with FED-EX and it was under a 100 bucks , i live in NY and i shipped it to california .i just shrink rapped it and sent it . a lot of guys use greyhound i have never used them before but i heard its cheap too. UPS sucks , they are always more then FED-EX.
  5. thats how you do a comp test , 30 psi i am surprised it even ran . as for the rebuilt take your time , get a repair manual and it is a piece of cake . BIGRED350 has a step by step rebuild with pictures in the repair and mod section ,do a search .im sure that will help out alot . it helped me get the balls to do my first complete rebuild
  6. i go there 4 times a year , that place is great . have you ever been there before ? if you are looking for good trail riding i wouldnt go to rauch creek , i would go to TOWER CITY , which is right down the street from RAUCH CREEK , rauch's trails arent that good , that tracks are awsome though.
  7. oil was coming out of my over flow once right after the motor was built , the builder did not use enough sealant (yamabond ) in between the cases , was leaking right behind the crank , rebuilt it myself and it is fine now.
  8. i have a pep steering stabilizer and im sure it bolts up the same , 1 side bolts to one of the 2 motor mount bolts that go to the frame , and the other side bolts around the steering stem , pretty easy to install
  9. i got the new needles from CPW and it runs alot better , it did have a bad bog just off idle , now it is very slight , maybe i can clean it up with air screw or clip position , i will mess with it tomorrow , i called them like 5 times picking the guys brain , he was very helpful , and he sent me different needles for free , i expecting them to say go fuck your self , but they fixed the problem .
  10. i believe it , that is a good gun , when i was buying mine the salesperson told me to buy that one , i just looked it up it is only 199 bucks at SEARS , 625 foot pounds of torque ,
  11. i have used that gun before , its a good one , i was going to buy it but it was a little expensive , 300 bucks i think or close to it . mine is a ingersolrand # 231 i think
  12. i have a ingersolrand and im happy with it , it has more power than i will ever need , i think 660 foot pounds , never had something it woulnt take off , it wasnt that expensive maybe 140 bucks . with ingersollrand you have to be careful because they make ones that are made in china that are not as good (the ones Lowe's sells) . i also have a battery operated impact gun and i will tell you i am very in pressed with it , alot more power than i would have ever thought , i use my air gun alot less now , i save it for the big stuff , every thing else i use the batt opt. gun . pain in the ass to fill up compressor to take off 1 bolt .
  13. you said last time you rode her was 6 months ago ? first check to make sure you are getting spark . sounds like you are , if it ran dumping gas into motor and it started . could be old gas , clogged jet , gummed up carbs , take the carbs off and clean them out , make sure all jets are clean , could also be choke crossover tube , (black tube that goes in between the 2 carbs ) make sure that is there.
  14. 1/4 inch is a little thick , usually they just add a piece right next to the stock one , someone had pics on here once of banshee gusseting , maybe BIG RED 350 if i can remember right
  15. yes , ricky stator said they have both styles , for reamed spindles and stock spindles , i measured the ball joint with a caliper today and it is 16 MM so i guess i will order ricky stator ball joints . does any body know where esle i can get these ball joints from ? rickystator wants 20 bucks a pop .
  16. i have much to learn ? what the fuck does that mean ? i am trying to find my ball joints and having trouble , they dont thread into the arm , so the diameter just has to be the same. and i dont have a caliper that measures MM , thats why i posted this question. thanks for telling me to get the right joint though , thats the information i was waiting for , helps me out alot. ::
  17. i believe in spanking to a degree , my father was a Marine Sargent , he was very fast to give a slap when i was out of line , some kids do need it , but it can get out of line , it does have an effect on a kid , when i would go to school i would fight alot , when a kid wanted to fight me i would fight on the drop of a dime, i would think this kid is 100 pounds how can he hurt me when my father hit me and he was 220 , and the fighting went on for years into my 20's , all built up anger like a fire burning . so be careful how you punish your kids .
  18. i have never had a motor with nothing wrong with it lock up , if its locked up it time for a rebuild. i wouldnt try poping loose kicking it as hard as you can , you are going to do more damage . loosen the head up ? wouldnt be easier to take out the spark plugs
  19. i think its thirsty in the middle to , it runs the best when i put the clip closest to the pointy end (richest ) , and it still isnt rich enough , next size up on the pilot and it gets worst .
  20. yes they are a pain in the ass to fit , watch out for tears in the boot and air leaks. i have talked to about 8-20 people that got these carbs and the all got the same jets , 155 main 55pilot , from guys with stroker motors to totaly stock motors got the same jetting . did they come with extra jets ? let me guess , 150 , 160 mains , 50 pilots , they are nice carbs for the price , they are accualy made by keihin , just dont have the name because of copyrights or something , mine were great untill it got warm out now it has a bog right off idle . when they were good they pulled like hell , way better then stock carbs . my mods are , trail port , v force reeds , +4 timing , k+n no lid , toomey t-5's . they are sending me new needles , hopefully this will fix the bog im getting , they said they never had this problem before.
  21. i have them , they were awsome when i got them (winter ) , now that it warmed up i am having trouble dialing them in , i have to say though CPW is great with help , i called them and told them whats happening and they are sending out different needles for free , what jets did yours come with ?
  22. well 5/8 is the thread size of the ball joints for my +2 a arms and im trying to find new ones , ricky stator says their joints are 16 mm thread , so im tying to find out if they will fit on my arms
  23. what does 5/8 of a inch transfer into MM
