  1. It's one thing to make power earlier and have it flatten out and broaden the power curve. It's another thing to make 85whp by 8k rpm and then feel like you just dropped anchor and the motor falls flat on it's face. To me that's straight castrating a banshee motor! But, we will all see soon enough. I've ridden a dune ported stk cyl with toomey t3's and I never found the top of 6th gear because of his horrible suspension. Swapped in the SLP's and had to fatten jetting to try and recoup some top end, but ran out of jets. I was quickly looking for 7th gear. So I chopped the main and it looked good enough for the owner, so we ran it. I hope the SLP's surprise me, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

  4. those motor mounts are pretty sweet. I'd be interested in a set of the upgraded dog bones and bushings. you need a set of YFZ450R rear hubs. they widen the ass end 1.5"
  5. Yeah, I know. I already bought CPI's for the Redline Serval motor that's in the works. I was just curious if anyone has a set of hand coned LED's on a 421 Serval and happened to have a dyno chart...

  8. Nope... My buddy has a dune port, coolhead, 28mm PWK's, VF2's and had T3's. That thing pulled and rev'd to the moon with T3's. Installed SLP's, raised the needle, and went for a rip. Still needed more fuel. So I increased the main by two sizes and gained a tiny bit more top end. It could probably use more main, but he didn't have anything bigger. It pulled clean, so he ran it. The SLP's have a shit ton more bottom end, but I feel that they neuter a banshee's powerband. It literally felt like I put a 13T front sprocket on it. He has transmission issues and he can't get into 1st. Yes, everything shifter wise is new and adjusted properly or I'd install a 15T front sprocket and see how it does. He's happy with the SLP's so we'll install a 15T front sprocket after the trans is gone thru and ProMod'd.
  9. Cam is porting my Serval cylinder right now. It'll be a pump gas MX port like tfaith's race gas MX port serval. Exact mods with the exception of pump gas domes, pump gas timing and pump gas. I'm going to see how much it'll be for Cam to dyno tune my motor with CPI's.   11. I want to get a 5.5 gallon Clarke tank for my ride. I'm torn between a black Clarke tank with a black rad cover and blue fenders. Or a Black Clarke tank with a blue rad cover and blue fenders. Or a Blue Clarke tank with a blue rad cover and blue fenders. And I don't really want to cut my stock blue plastics, so give me your thoughts on fender color options too. Thoughts?   14. Lower the needle clips one groove and do a rip and report back. Lowering the clips will raise the needle and richen the mid-range.

  17. The elastic in the outerwears stretches out over time. So I safety wire my outerwears to my K&N's. I ride Pismo dunes exclusively!

  21. Yes it is, but I still have a blast shredding that place!! I too have been going there since the early 80's. The demographic has changed dramatically since the introduction of SxS's and sport 4 strokes.

  23. I have two pair of stock intakes that have been milled perfectly. Comes with cross-over tubes and clamps. I can take pics and post them here if you'd like.
  24. Why would you attempt to rebuild a crankshaft yourself? If it's a stock crankshaft, they can be found in excellent condition for less than $100. Then send it to a site sponsor and have them true/weld it for you.
