  1. I will. I'm installing and tuning May 19th.
  2. Yeah, Don is the man. Powerline Performance dune port 350 Mull Engineering pump gas head Hot rods stk stroke crank 28mm PWK's/pods/outerwears Stk intakes VF4's +4* timing Driveline Dune Clutch Pro Circuits I didn't even ask, and I don't really care how much power it makes. I just told Don I wanted a midrange to top end motor with a strong emphasis on midrange power. I'd imagine right around 60rwhp.
  3. Yup! This Powerline Performance Dune/Play 350 is actually going in my 2002 to get me thru memorial weekend. Joe's ProMod is right there in the 1st pic. Cam at Redline is building my 421 Serval for my 2002. Eventually this play motor will be back in the 97 for my boys to ride.
  4. Thanks for the heads up. I picked up some 1/8" rubber vacuum caps. They fit great but I'll zip tie them for peace of mind.
  5. Nice, I wish mine came with caps.
  6. Joe Molinari is an outstanding sponsor and takes care of his customers. Communication was instant. His customer service is second to none! If you're in the market for any custom transmission work, do not hesitate to contact Joe at Joe's ATV Performance and Fabrication on Facebook. He's even drop shipping the transmission to Don at Powerline!

  8. Don from Powerline said that the nipple is a sync port and to just cap it.
  9. What's up fellas? I just received these from Jeff at FAST. I've got an email in to Jeff about them. 1) what's the extra nipple for on top of the intake side of the carb? 2) doesn't the float bowl overflow hose usually aim toward the back rather than point straight down? And this is the part number on the box they came in. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  10. I'm interested in getting a Clarke 5.5gal tank as well. What's up with the cap they send?
  11. Nice bike fo sho! Not sure about that grill though. Stock grills FTW!
  12. No, it's at Redline now. All the same parts as this build but with less compression and timing for pump gas. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/185991-redline-4mil-serval/
  13. All good questions and my buddy and I discussed all of them except rebuilding the stock crank.1) Don told me rebuilding, trueing and welding a stock crank with parts/labor is damn near the price of a new one. 2) the reason I'm not building a 4mil stroker is because this motor is going in the 97 for my sons to ride. They've only ever ridden a POS 125cc farmer john rental quad at Pismo back in 2011. So in short, a 4 mil stroker would be a bit much for a couple teenagers to learn on. 3) Cam @ Redline is building me a MX ported 421 Serval for my blue 2002, but it is not going to be ready for memorial weekend 2017, so this motor is going in the 2002 to get me through the weekend. I have just a POS electronic eBay tach for tuning only.I found this on you tube and it's a 2 stroke. https://youtu.be/lSG-325gNic
  14. Yes, thank you for the reminder. Jetting is very important. I do all my tuning. I have a digital tach and a FAST sync tool and a bunch of jets. Thankfully my buddy lives in the country and we have room to tune. I do proper plug chops. Plugs are cheaper than pistons. Don said when I get the motor back I'll get a spec sheet with all of the vital engine build/porting specs and suggested jetting. I haven't been on the sand since memorial weekend of 2016...
  15. So, I got an update. Pulled the motor and tore it down. STD bore wiseco pistons in a 97... weird. Found a broken left exhaust side piston skirt. Big end rod bearing is wasted. Shrapnel within. Split the cases, all is good. Transmission is completely perfect. Shift forks have absolutely no signs of wear. Here's the plan. Cases, virgin cylinders and the Mull pump gas head I have are going to Don Shepherd at Powerline Performance up in Woodland, WA for a stock stroke dune port. Stock stroke hot rods crank from Jeff at FAST is shipping directly to Don. Jeff trues/welds these in house, so they're perfect. Transmission is going to Joe Molinari for a pro mod. $300 return shipped for the pro mod with the drum bearing mod, detent arm bearing mod and modded shift star. Joe claims a 3-5 day turnaround from the day he receives the trans. Not too shabby. Today the man in brown delivered a much needed new pair of Alpinestars Tech 5's and new riding pants/jersey. Also on the porch was a new set of 21x12x8, 8 paddle extremes. I'm super stoked, because in exactly 4 weeks from today I'll be running this new Powerline stock stroke dune port in my blue 2002 shown above.
  16. I think FMF Fatty's with spark arrested turbine core FMF silencers of some sort. I'll know more Friday. The stock carbs w/idle screws and the stock air box will be for sale. Thanks for the tip on the shocks. I'm not looking to spend any money on it right now.
  17. I pick the 97 up this evening. The clown relisted it on CL using the previous owner's pictures. It needs to be cleaned up. But I will have some parts for sale. Below is the 2002 with all of the following nonsense... | Fireball Racing +2+1 Anti-Vibe Steering Stem | | Fireball Racing LT A-Arms | Elka LT Stage 5's | | Fireball Racing +2 HD Swingarm | | RPM Dominator Axle | YFZ450R Rear Hubs | | House of Horsepower Resprung/revalved Rear Shock | | Pro Taper Contour Mini Low Bend Bars | | Streamline Steering Stabilizer | | ODI Rouge Grips | ASV Pro Shorty Levers | | YFZ450R MC and Calipers |
  18. Nothing special, but it works, really well. | Fireball Racing +2+1 Anti-Vibe Steering Stem | | Fireball Racing LT A-Arms | Elka LT Stage 5's | | Fireball Racing +2 HD Swingarm | | RPM Dominator Axle | YFZ450R Rear Hubs | | House of Horsepower Resprung/revalved Rear Shock | | Pro Taper Contour Mini Low Bend Bars | | Streamline Steering Stabilizer | | ODI Rouge Grips | ASV Pro Shorty Levers | | YFZ450R MC and Calipers | Yup I'm old and my body can't handle getting beat to shit riding rutted dunes.
  19. Yeah, I texted Cam at Redline and told him to take his time building my Serval. This Powerline play motor is going into the built 2002 chassis for the time being. I've got more money in suspension and handling mods on the 2002 chassis than 95% of BHQ'ers put into three motors...
  20. Donald at Powerline is going to build this play motor. Joe is cutting the trans for me. All is good and we'll be Pismo bound May 26th! Thank you to all for the awesome suggestions!
  21. I'm not messing with HJR. I haven't checked with Powerline. I've sourced a promod from Joe Molinari, just waiting on his quote. nastyracing is offering to sell me his sleeper promod trans. I'm building this 97 for three reasons. 1.) Cam at Redline has my 2002 motor and is building me a Serval. I might not get the Serval back by the 19th of May, install it, shake it down and load it on the trailer on the 25th for memorial Weekend in Pismo. 2.) I just bought this 97 with a blown top end for a steal. So, I was hoping to just build a stock stroke mid-range play port motor with a trued/welded crank and a proper promod trans by the 19th. So if the Serval is late, so be it. I'd drop this play motor in my 2002 frame and run it Memorial Weekend. 3.) Ultimately this play port 350 is going into the 97 for my sons to ride. They're already riding their uncle's raptor 700.
  22. Yeah, I know the porting is what takes time.I'm waiting to see what Carl says.
  23. Is precision porting in stocktown Joe Machado? I tried finding his shop one time, but no luck. Joe Molinari got back to me and he might have a promod on the shelf ready to drop in. He'll get back to me in the morning.
