  6. If the cable is coming out of the slide you have to take the 2 screws out of the top of the carb and remove the slide to put the cable back in. To put the cable back in the slide you need to compress the spring around the cable with the little keeper that holds the cable in the slot. Then slip the cable into the slot in the slide and make sure its all the way in and then slide the keeper down the cable towards the slide and line the keeper up with the cable slot in the slide. If you meant that the adjuster is coming loose on top of the carb then that thats a different story
  7. A buddy of mine has them and you need to make sure the cable is all the way in the slot and then make sure the cable keeper slides on top of the cable. We had to take a little screwdriver and push the cable in the slot. Good luck
  8. What kind of vito's pistons are you using? I don't believe your supposed to use the power pistons on a ported engine. Just a thought.

  11. I had the same problem with stock carbs also, since we put on the 35mm PWK's from FAST racing it starts the first kick. Have you tried giving it just a little throttle?

  16. We do a lot of camping at the dunes and there seems to be more and more quads getting ripped off. I use a large chain to lock the bikes up at night, but they don't make a chain or cable large enough that a bolt cutter can't get through. Does anyone have one of those disk brake locks with the built in alarm, if so how does it work? If anyone else has any tips on how they secure there bikes please share them. I was thinking of possibly making a 12v system that has a motion detector outside the trailer and a siren. I sleep pretty sound especially after a few cocktails. Once the alarm goes off then its time for Mr Glock. :biggrin:

  18. Odds are that the axle splines and the hubs are worn out.
  19. Everything costs more in Vegas. I live here and would ship them to FAST racing if I were you. If he bores and hones he should clean up the ports (chamfer).

  21. Make sure you have the choke crossover tube between the carbs.
  22. We pulled the stator cover and found the pulse generator wire rubbing on the flywheel. Did'nt have a chance to try it out but I hope thats the problem.
  23. We put in a Ricky Staor stator in about a year ago. I also swapped the coil out with another coil and it still missed. Maybe we'll have to try an aftermarket coil that has a litle more punch. The guys at ESR racing told me to gap the plug at .010 because if you didn't the compression would suppress the spark. When we check the jetting the spark plug looks fine. We are going to pull the wiring harness off and do a resistance check and also see if it might be grounding out somewhere.
  24. My sons 250r is missing at wot. We tried changing the cdi and spark plug (gapped at .010)and also inspected the connections. Do you think jetting could cause this problem? I was thinking it could be that the wiring harness is just old and the wires are breaking down inside the wire jacket. Has anyone had a problem with older wiring harnesses? The bike has: 310 Kit ESR pipe dyna fs cdi 39mm carb Coolhead 19cc dome BR8ES Plug NGK Thanks for any help He should have a banshee
  25. I would say 240-280 depending on your altitude.
