Make it the third, I bought something small from him and never got it. It took almost a month to get $15 bucks back, kind of petty but it's the principle. Stay away from this guy. A few may have got their stuff from him, but I wouldn't risk it. This dude has done this multiple times...I say ban him.

stock trx 450r what to do to it

Sredish, you've got a badass bike bro. I haven't tapped into mine much, other than a HRC kit, sprockets, and a full pipe which seems to be plenty for trails and play. -

John Natalie rode a YFZ the year before and switched to a 450R, won the title that year. I'm not saying it's all bike, but pair a good rider with a good bike and you've got something. As far as baja goes, they pick the most reliable machine. -
I think they're badass, I almost bought a set for my honda but went with baja's instead and bent one on the first ride. :shoothead: They can break, but it takes alot of force (way more than aluminum). I want some for my banshee.

Just wear them riding for a few hours and they'll be good to go, but sometimes it also depends on the brand. Luckily my fox forma's were really easy to break in and they've lasted two seasons with minimal wear. Some of the entry level boots are kind of stiff at first, so it may take longer to get them were you want. If they're really stiff, try push mowing the grass in them on a warm day... I swear it works.

Yeah, I had a UNI foam clamp on with a 50 pilot and 190 main. I don't like the filter being exposed for trail riding.

I forgot to tell you that the basket is on ebay right now but I'll end it early if the offer is good.

I've got all you need, here's a few pics. The pipe needs new packing, and I personally would sand or bead blast the outside of it. It is actually in very good shape other than some light surface rust and discoloring. I also started to polish the silencer but never finished. This would make a nice pipe with just a little work. No bends or dings and it's fully adjustable. The clutch basket is perfect. The cables are in great shape and just need to be unbolted from the drums. If you're interested in any of it shoot me some offers and I prefer paypal.

I've got a mint outer basket, a lrd adjustable pipe that needs a cleanup or powdercoating (no dents or dings), and I think I have all the front cables. PM me and I'll get you some pics, I need to empty out the garage.

Your main will be close, but your pilot will probably be rich with an airbox. I say try a 50 and possibly a 48 pilot if that doesn't work. I'm at 1000ft and have a 48 pilot w/ 1 turn out on the airscrew and a k&n w/ airbox. It's around 20-30 degrees here.

I did my own with racelogic stage 2 templates and I think they came out really good, actually they look alot cleaner than several of the ones done by "experts" that I've seen on the site. Some people have no business porting cylinders, but if you have the tools and a steady hand I say go for it. I just cleaned up the tranfers and altered the intake and exhaust ports according to the templates (everything was marked perfectly so they're identical) and had the intakes and exteriors bead blasted, polished the exhaust ports and bored/honed them when I was done. Everyone that rides my quad sure likes the difference. This pic was before the bead blasting of course.

I heard the same thing about the clutch work, a friend at work bought a blue special edition awhile back and it's a pretty nice quad. I like how they even come with holeshot xc's from the factory. He says the clutch is made to slip some from the factory since it's automatic. It'll stand straight up with just gas from a stand still and it weighs over 500lbs so I'm sure it's got potential, especially since it's bone stock. I think they're an awesome trail machine, just kind of heavy for racing.

I wanna buy a Jeep Wrangler...
differentstrokes replied to Meat's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I've had 2 different Wranglers, one was an 87 w/ auto trans and a 4.2L engine (first year of the wrangler but still had the AMC motor and the rollbar was slanted on each side) and the other was a 95 w/ the fuel injected 4cyl and 5 speed (last year of the square headlights and the rollbar goes all the way to the back). They both were really simple as far as maintenance, but they both got old driving everyday. My best friend had a 97 Sport with the 4.0L and it was a pretty nice ride too. The power is pretty decent for all the motors, but it goes away as soon as you add larger tires and a lift (all three listed had both). The heater is good as long as you're in the front seats, the people in the back are screwed. I had air in mine but never used it since I'd take the top off, but it seemed like it never really got that cold. One thing I did like was all the aftermarket things they make for them. I had mine all chromed out so the ladies loved it and wanted to ride, definitely a head turner. Anyways, I got tired of driving it on a daily basis and sold it to get a truck. Now that I have a work car I've been thinking of getting another. After driving all 3 versions, I'd recommend the round headlight body style (97-current) with a hardtop for the winter and the 4.0L. -

I guess Joe Byrd and John Natalie are retards since they've both won ATVA MX titles on a Honda the last 2 years, not to mention it's also won the BAJA 1000 every year since it came out in 04. It must be a POS :shoothead: -
Has the Banshee just outlived its time? XC/HS

No offense bro, but Oklahoma is in the Midwest and Alabama (where I'm at) is the South. -

Load it up and bring it to hills and woods down South, otherwise there's no point in me even commenting when you're 1,000 miles away. -
You're pretty close to me actually, I'm about 1 hour from the Georgia line. I ride at Kentuck ORV sometimes which is right off I20 near Oxford, AL. Check your map, it's not really far from you.

I've got a stock cover off of my 2004 that's black and silver on the back where it says yamaha. Do you have anything else you want to trade instead of the rebel flag cover, I've already got a ceet cover now?
-
Bansheeseat$$ did mine and I ride the same kind of stuff, no problems here. I've heard that you should do either the star or shift pro kit, but not both and now I see why. I say let Kai do yours, you'll like it.

Need a new Clutch PERCH and lever
differentstrokes replied to BumpaD_Z28's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It's a cast perch (I'd take $15 shipped), if you want a forged I'd definitely get a MSR Pro Raptor lever. I've got one on my banshee and it's great, plus it's around $45 (Rocky Mountain ATV) and they come in regular and shorty. This is the best pic I have right off hand. -

The front fenders are stock, what you're talking about is the carbon fiber hood. It does look like a 250R and there's a few more things you can buy that make it look even more like one. Most people don't realize how much stuff on the 450R was based on the 250R. It's got the HRC kit (cam, jetting, modified airbox lid, crankcase breathers, etc.) White Bros. Carbon Pro pipe and different sprockets. It's also got a bunch of other little things and has zero problems handling a piped banshee. If the weather warms up I'll get a sound clip for you today. This thing sounds badass. -

Most people on this site are pro-yamaha, but my TRX is the shit and yes, I tried a YFZ450 before I bought the honda. As far as the 2 vs. 4 stroke thing, I can rip a banshee in the woods on the TRX. I'm lucky I have both but if I could only choose one it would be the TRX for best overall.
