Topic Title: Who Does Your Carbs Cleaning?
pipebomb replied to night's topic in General Banshee Discussion
dude that rocks!!!! guess I'll have to smooze my aunt a bit, so when the hospital she works at gets a new one, I'll have to try to "aquire" the old one. -
Check eBay. got a set of jets from a guy on there for like $50, the kit was set up for banshee's running dual Keihins, but I got it for doing my R. came in a nice little divider box w/ mains(2 of each) #145-175(145,150,152,155,158,160,162,165,168,170,172,175) and Pilots #35 -55(35,40,45,50,52,55). I forget what his ebay ID is now but the business card in the kit says SPP: Steves Performance Parts P.O. Box 106 Dexter, OR 97431 [email protected] update: Found his eBay ID: banshee-tuner.

you can't go wrong either way. Just w/ the Ohlins you won't need to modify anything to fit them in. Just jack the front up a bit, knock out out the 4 bolts for the old shocks, slip the new ones in and bolt um up(just make sure to take the jack back out, don't laugh, seen it done 2x by the same guy). 10 minute job. Got a full set of Ohlins on my R that I got a good deal on from my buddy and used parts guy( Mike aka XCbob) cause I bought the full set and got a set of Axis fronts for my '01 that came off his own personal XC Banshee before he switched to YFZs. the Ohlins have done everything I wanted them to do(granted they need to be redone to carry my fat butt properly), and I liked them enough to pick up a good set of fronts for my '06 SE.

under the seat, attatched to the air box lid. unscrew the little clamp that holds it to the air box lid and yank it off. an air intake for the airbox to draw air from a higher and more protected area to reduce the amount of incoming forgien materials( dirt, water, etc), restrict air flow to the airbox to limit horsepower output of the engine. Trash, recycle, or put on eBay for $5.

http://www.coasttocoastam.com/ it's an early morning radio talk show mostly about Scifi, paranormal and conspearecy(sp??) type stuff. I catch it every once in a great while and some shows are pretty interesting. a while back they actually had the guy that "originally" made Sonic Resonator & Hyper Dimensional Resonator, Steven Gibbs, on for an interveiw w/ Art Bell who fills in for the regular host George Noory. If you only knew!!! boy, do I have a story on that one.

Free $1000 AUTO PARTS Gift Card
pipebomb replied to croush_1's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
someone ban this clown. -
Let's just assume you and all your riding buddies are all of equal fairly good riding skill, I would have to say you might want to keep a magazine or sumthin' under your seat. Because your gonna spend an awful lot of time waiting for them to catch up.

Um, Yeah pretty much. Noone i know of makes a generic bolt-on that I'm aware of. the only ones that make a bolt on spark arrester is Toomey w/ their "Sparky" spark arrester and their Hush kit for the T4's & 5's. So, Yeah basically your gonna need to buy new mufflers( and pipes if you change brands) unless someone else knows a way to "rig" something so you can still use your old ones. But imo, I still think it is cheaper and of less hassle in the long run to just buy new mufflers and not need to worry about a rig job crapping out on you and getting a ticket(or several).

help getting ball joints out
pipebomb replied to EastCoast Banshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
most times, you need a pickel fork(seperator) and a BFH and a some muscle. -
Stock one on top, Cascade's modified one on bottom. with the Modded one and the shift-Pro kit your bike will shift like butter.
-
must have. cause that lists the standard banshee for like $800 more than I paid for my '06 SE, and I even had to get that shipped in from another dealer to get it.

If ya don't get any bites on the Shee and the EX, pm me. I got a buddy in Lykens, PA that might be interested.

Front ohlins piggy backs for sale
pipebomb replied to coldsteelcustoms's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Nope, they is gone. I snapped them up last week. -
alba also has the filter adapters. they also make a plastic/resin type one too for like $19. got one of those in my '06 and no problems yet.

Do you mean bolt-on spark arresters?? Or are you talking about these? cause those are just end caps, not spark arresters. FMF doesn't make a bolt-on arrester for banshee mufflers. you'd need to go to one of their Turbine Core series mufflers(Turbine Core, Turbine Core 2, or the "Q") for an arrester cause they're built in to the design.

do a search on here. been covered a few times at the least.

Hell, call ONE up. maybe the have some backstock still floating around in their warehouse yet. did that for the Hinson inner hub for my R, and they had 2 left. the guy from my dealer said they have 2 left and did I still want 1. I'm saying "well duh, yea" and nodding like a Bobble head doll on a jackhammer. Point is, give them a call, ya just never know.
-
Hey at least you put your in the back of the truck. the things some people will do to go riding.
-
call um. what's the worst they can do, say "no"?? not like you've lost anything by asking. I always thought you could use them only yamaha dealers, cause I know that when I've used mine they needed my drivers lisc. # too on the form they use.
-
then FMF's recommended settings won't work for you since your not running a stock intake tract. they're specs are for stock twin carb. If noone on here can get you set up for those mods, call the company that made it intake and they should be able to get you in the ballpark of where you need to be.
-
22,000 invested!!!!!! DAY-UM!!!!!! I don't think I have that in both of mine and my R (including the cost for parts to bring it back to be safe to ride.) and thats adding in the original cost of the bikes. such a shame to have to get rid of it. Bummer.
-
It's cool. just thought it a bit odd since I was just on ebay as I saw this.

No, the don't make a clamp on. the only USFS approved ones they make are the Spark Arrester and the Type 296 Where the heck did you see this. Banshee mufflers are always sold in pairs. thats why the price is always twice the price of other bikes. No, FMF and ProCircuit are not compatable. after market companies don't make their stuff usable with other companies parts intentionally. the only exception to that are the "slip-on" mufflers for 4-stokes so they they can work w/ the stock head pipe. just because you found a cap, don't mean it will work. typically a spark arrester has a screen of some type in it to trap the spark long enough to let the spark snuff out before it can come out the muffler and possibly cause a fire.
