I got a few buddies down that way, I'll see what info I can get out of them.

I've had the shiftpro and the modded star in my '01 for like 2 years now and it shifts like butta!!! half the time I don't even need to clutch it to shift( I know, I know not good for the tranny, but I been doing for so many years I got it down) got another set for my '06 comming this week. was gonna post a "how to" on it for a couple of my other hang outs. Guys, looking for a Motofast intake set-up w/ Lectron 40mm carb for my '06, just took one back out of my '01 for repair(cracked bowl) and would like to add one to the new bike when the weather warms. don't need to look perfect cause I'm gonna be ordering some new stuff for the other set-up in the spring, just so long as the intake, carb and airbox adapter are there. Also would like to find another flamed grill like the one on my '01 for the new '06( would look better with the yellow and carbon fiber plastic than a polished one). I don't believe it's made anymore, but I think it was originally made by ModQuad. I' could easly make one myself, just don't want to spend 3 hours at the drill press punching out all them little holes. here's a pic of what i'm talking about. it's 1/8 aluminum w/ water jetted holes getting progressively smaller from top to bottom, annodized black w/ annodized flames. if anyone comes acrossed either one give me a holler. thanks guys.

Spectro for years in my dirtbikes( got it for free from all my friends who raced) til I bust up my knees and sold the dirtbikes. then Yamalube(20;1 for the break-in, then 40:1since.) in the '01and the R til last summer summer then switched back to Spectro when a neighbor gave me 4 gallon jugs of it cause he didn't own any 2 stroke dirts anymore( he's got a couple of super motard 4-stokes that can haul ass, too bad he's to gimp to run them properly)

gots 2 here. an '01 and an '06 LE, just picked up the 2nd one 2 weeks ago. nice new 50th anni. edition.

on the V-foce model, the reed side of the manifold is machined smooth since the Vforce reed cage has a built in air diverterto direct the air down thought the reeds. the standard version for stock reed cages have an air deflector plate mounted on the reed side to channel the airflow. I learn that the hard way and had to grind off the plate to fit after I realized I ordered the wrong one.
