no idea what happend. the place has been dead since last fall. thats why I been hanging around here so much the last few months. ain't been anyone to Mod/Admin, just the ban of the damn spammers registering bogus accounts w/ websites listed for Porno, poker and search engine sites. The original owner had some big legal problems I was told and sold the shop to his old partner. he got the webmaster to make a couple of the more regular trustworthy guys admin to keep an eye on the place since wasen't around(even kept the place PG rated for him, got bend over a "Chicks on quads" thread cause one guy got a little out of hand w/ it). one guy volunteered and I got volunteered. since I was always on and seemed to be running the place anyway(didn't hurt to have nearly 2500 posts over the course of like 6 months.). the other guy bowed out for the most place last fall( new job and new baby on the way, no time to stop in much) and I been running the show since. but like I said the joint has been like a tomb for months. and the few regulars that pop in and I have kept the place a float but w/ the new owner not communicating w/ us as to his intentions as to weither or not he is keeping the board up and if he's wants to bring the place back to life.( was a pretty hopping place for a small forum, nothing like here though). and tonight I get "You're Banned". I can honestly I'm a bit pissed since I pretty much built the place back up after it was over hauled to a totally new fresh forum last april( was supposed to just be an upgrade, but the old webmaster skipped out and never left the passwords for the old server, so the new Webby could retrive the old data. so 4 yrs of stuff was lost.) and I been keeping the place going for the last 7 or 8 months, when I didn't want to be an admin in the first place. but no one wanted to do it.

MILO you should be just fine w/ it. http://www.actron.com/

yes, you most times get what you pay for. But my cheapie $8 "Grip" brand one is dead on w/ my craftsman one and both at dead on w/ the top of the line Snap-on one they use in the repair shop owned by the company my brother works for. So I'm not too worried.

yeah, noticed that a thread I posted a few things in was missing. I even went back through my personal posts make sure it wasen't just a fig newton of my imagination, but their are gone.

cutting the knobs out out leaves a gap allowing the remaining knobs around it to act like a paddle or cleat(like on a mud tire) to scoop down at the ground instead of chewing at it.

Mother of God I don't even know where I could run something like that around here.

Loseing spark when it gets wet

I agree w/ Bat. check you plug wires and caps. might be getting water in it and shorting it out. my '01 used to do that if I blasted through a deep spot. I fixed it by squirting a little gob of Dilectric grease in the boots. did all my other connecters too. get a tube of Super Lube synthetic grease(comes in 3oz. silver tubes) from the auto parts store. it can be used as a dilectric grease too and it's like half the cost of the 1/2 oz tube of regular dilectric grease and your getting 6x as much. -
Just so im clear on the tors

follow the wires that come out of the throttle housing and the clutch lever, down to the little connectors on each one.(about a foot down the wire) and dissconnect them and tape them up real good. then go to the wires coming out of those big POS things on top of your carbs and follow them to their connectors, the disconnet those and tape them up. lastly under your tank you'll see your coil( got the 2 sprack plug wire coming out of it, can't miss it, don't un-plug anythng on it.). to the left of the coil you'll see a little black box(about 1"x 1"x1 1/2") w/ 3 little wires going to 1 connector, that's the TORS box, unplug it and tape up the connector(you can actually remove the box once it's unhooked.). thats it, Tors is disconnected. It will run fine and later you can get the eliminator & idle kits so you can dump a couple of pounds of weight by losing them stupid carb caps and cutting out the excess wires that you don't need anymore. -
check the shift assembly that turns the shift drum.( on the right side, right below the clutch assembly.) sounds like it's out of adjustment or you might have a bent fork.

it's bit of a pain to find the balance point on a shee cause it's so far back. but you'll get it.

nope, won't hurt it at all as long as you cut the mounts for the deflector plate off about an 1/8" ( i used a scrap piece of thin sheet metal as a spacer) out from the face so you don't gouge it and then gently/slowly grind the excess off so it's flush w/ the mating surface. Had to do mine like that after I bought my VF2's. mine came out looking just like factory. just take your time and go slow.

the fine thread 14mm one

I think you should be fine. I got a whole buch of Actron tools and never had any problems. almost every auto parts place I've in sells their stuff, so they have to be pretty decent quality.

http://www.mudanddirt.com/tech.htm try this page. 3rd column on the bottom. Not clymer but it is the Factory manual.

I prob have a better one I always seem to be around when people do stupid stuff. it's sad when your on a first name basis w/ the 911 operators.

Jags right on that. thats why I cringe at seeing people selling them at flea markets. I've even bought some just to bust them in front of the guy just to keep some kid from buying it and getting hurt with it. most manufacturers will even take it back to check it for you(most times they hack it up and you need to buy a new one anyway.) I'd toss it myself. after an impact like that I wouldn't trust it. A buddy of mine on another board did something similar and his helmet looked fine but he complained of headaches. went to the Dr and found he had a concussion, so we talked him into sending the lid back to Shoei to get it inspected even though he said it was fine. they called him back to say the helmet was trashed and the material on the upper back inside was crushed 75% and there was a 1/2" gap between the foam and the shell. If we didn't get him to send it back that could have been his melon the next time he crashed. He even bought one of those shock-spotter things, now that he's a believer. Helmets are far cheaper than your dome, bro.

And here's what Trinity claims "Trinity's 1/2" or 3/4" reed spacers manipulate intake air so you can adjust how hard the engine kicks when you open the throttle. Different sizes of reed spacers give you the ability to fine tune your quad's powerband to your personal preference. Moving the reed cage further back slightly shifts power toward the bottom end, while leaving it forward and shifting the manifold back will tend to lean towards high RPM."
