  1. wouldn't that be the bomb shell to end all others, that Yamaha some how manages to squeeze one more year out of the Banshee(there would be a LOT of pissed SE owners) or drops the cover on an all new version, like a 500 twin or a moster w/ the Phazor FX700 engine in it that they have managed to keep secret. that would definitely shock a lot of folks.
  2. try putting in the #30 pilots like FMF says to do w/ their pipes. your starving it off the bottem.
  3. The reeds are FMF Torque reeds, but not sure of the cages, might be stock since the FMF reeds are replacements for the stock reeds and are only supposed to fit the stock cages.
  4. might wanna tell us what the "other shit" is. would defintely help to figure out what you need.
  5. since everyone is saying to splice the P-brake wires together and it's still running crappy, try something stupid. leave them disconnected just taped up real good. I didn't splice anything on my '01 when I unhooked the TORS. I just unplugged the connectors for the throttle, p-brake, carb caps and the TORS itself and packed them w/ a dab of synthetic/dilectric grease and taped them up real good. been like that for 2 years now and runs like a champ.
  6. like Jeff foxworthy said "Oh, hurt like hell didn't it?? won't ever do that again now, will ya??"
  7. morons if they want to try that again I got some model rocket engines yet I'll donate( them bigger "D" and "E" size mutha's).
  8. depends on how much wear is on them. either way it couldn't to give them a quick once over while they are out.
  9. can you be a bit more specific?? How do you mean " if it is not on"? do you mean Removed?
  10. sorry, no extra capliers themselves, but I do have a full set of stock lines from the Master cyl. down to the calipers in real good/great shape that I took off a couple of years ago when I installed a dual braided line set-up. just missing one of the clips that hold the juntion of the steel line and the rubber part out to the wheel to the frame(I think I know where it might be, but not possitive). the rubber sections are a little dirty( just to lazy to wipe them off before I put them away), but still solid. $60 shipped. got the rear line too.
  11. Not to my knowledge, I did have a site w/ a PDF zip for the factory service manual, but they've changed the site and it's no longer available. I did download it though. send me a PM w/ an email addy and I'll try to send it over.
  12. yup. that should help you narrow down if it's just a bad leak(stuck or broken rings) or a full blown hole. that way you at least have an idea what to expect when you pop the head.
  13. The only way to pull off a Sunday afternoon quickie with their 8 year old in the apartment was to send him out on the balcony with a Popsicle and tell him to report on all the neighborhood activities. He began his commentary as his parents put their plan into operation: There`s a car being towed from the parking lot", he shouted. A few moments passed .. "An ambulance just drove by" A few moments later, "Looks like the Anderson`s have company", he called out. "Matt`s riding a new bike....." A few moments later, "Looks like the Sanders are moving" "Jason is on his skate board...." A few more moments, "The Coopers are having sex!!" Startled, Mother and Dad shot up in bed!!! Dad cautiously asked, "How do you know they are having sex?" "Jimmy Cooper is standing on his balcony with a Popsicle too."
  14. pop the plugs and do a compression test. if there is a hole in one or both pistons it will show w/ zip for compression in that cylinder.
  15. No. They won't work, banshee rear shocks use an eyelet and the 450's use a forked lower mount. then you also need to factor in the valving rates, length and piggy-back Rezzie location.( the 450R uses a crosswise rezzie and I think the YFZ's rezzie sits out farther from the shock body than the banshee's does). Did you try adjusting it?? Compression is the little knob on the side near the rezzie, Rebound is the collar the the very bottom fo the shock, and Preload is the collars at the top of the spring. Banshee: YFZ450: TRX 450R:
  16. I agree, sounds like an air leak. Idles high and bogs right down to almost nothing when you hit the gas, right?? Do a search for it on here, been cover many times so there are walk-thoughs on how to check and fix it.
  17. Saw this and got a good chuckle out of it. not a bad design at that. :thumb: figured some of you duners might get a smile out of it too. YAMAHA BANSHEE ATV CARTOON T-SHIRT #9086 - DUNE
  18. Yeah post a pic or at least tell us what brand and model it is. I do alot of fishing myself so I know a fair bit about setting them up.
  19. go to your profile, on the right side you'll see "Profile Options", click that and a drop-down menu will appear w/ "Find member's posts"
  20. bump. still got them. come on, anyone w/ reasonable offers?? might even consider trades. got to start getting rid of some of the stuff I got lying around to make space in the garage for my oven for powdercoating. I'll add more to the list this weekend.
  21. bump- still here. keep getting asked about them and told they'll send the money, but everyone keeps leaving me hanging.
  22. did you mean your sig. and not your av. ???
  23. Don't quote me on the price. but I think it was like $50 might have been closer to $75, don't really remember. was over a year ago, like early last May.
  24. nope. nothing there when I looked.
