    ball joints

What company are they? try the company that made them. If they are a fairly well know company, like ASR, ROLL, Burgard, Lonestar, etc they should have replacements on hand.
  4. there was no Curse, Boston just sucks." not like I give a crap about any other thems either,
  5. these ones good for ya??
  6. Need more info. other mods, elevation of riding location, riding evironment(desert, northeast woods, southern swamp, so on)etc. generally for sea level up to I think like 1000' FMF recommends a #30 pilots, needle clips in the center or 3rd position and starting with a #260 mains and to adjust from there.
  7. dumb question for ya. Did you disconnect ALL the TORS connectors when the single carb set-up was installed?? my '01 did the same thing when I did mine. found out I missed the connector going to the P-brake switch on the clutch lever. start up and would idle fine, but hit the gas and "Bwaahhh", bog right out.
  8. I'm not 100%, you might want to double check w/ a dealer, If I remember correctly the R's and the 400ex all use the same rod ( I think the 300 and 250ex's use a different length), but all the sport Hondas(R's and EX's) use the same ends.
  9. like I said, take the seat off, and between the airbox lid and the back of the tank. their big silver 1/2" knobs, ya can't miss 'um.
  10. sounds like they are the stock carbs yet. pull the seat off and look just up under the tank. you'll see 2 hulking things mounted to the top of the carbs. look for either a large star shaped plastic knob or a large silver slotted screw head on each one of them. those are your idle adjusters.
  11. No. classic case of rigging. FMF pipes or mufflers won't match up to other exhausts. fmf designed them that way. the only way to make them fit is to modifiy the ends to fit or make a custom connector to make them match up. but that might hurt the performance since all the exhaust companies make their pipes and mufflers so that they work best when used together.
  12. I've been told the 400ex calipers will bolt right, but I think all the EX's used a single piston caliper if I remember right. I know the R uses a dual. I think the spindles and hubs are close enough that they'll fit, but not 100% positive. If you want I think I still have a complete front end floating around yet with good hubs and spindles from an '87 yet I'll sell ya. took them off my '88 cause the ball joints and tie rods were toast. My buddy deals in used parts and got me a good full front end and I just swapped the whole thing out. Let me know if ya want them. I'll dig them out and get a few pix. might have an extra set of calipers yet too.
  13. get it from Magic or right from UPP themselves. http://www.uppracing.com/
  14. the smaller one goes on the top(should be 34mm) and the larger one on the bottom( either 39 or 42mm depending on which they include in the kit)
  15. Ummmm................No, I'm not really liking this idea at all!!!!!!! Dunno bout you guys, but I've seen an airbag go off and I'm thinking that it would cause more hurt than help.
  16. Here's one of the places we were looking into for some custom stuff for Addiction, before it went belly-up. http://www.razorbackatv.com/Main%20RDATV.htm
  17. I think I still have afew links to places that did custom flags and stuff. we had disussed doing them for the shop that ran one of the other boards(now extinct) I was on. let me look around for them again.
  18. definitely a nice swinger. might be interested in it myself. just got to see what kinda money I left. Between Best Buy, RMATV and Eastwood over the last week, the wallet a little light. free bump either way.
  19. musta missed that one, then.
  20. stock carb parts aren't cheap in in general, cause their those F'in Mikuni VM26's. try pricing pilot jets for them.
  21. best bet will be eBay. I forget what company originally made them, but they have been discontinued for at least a couple of years now.
  22. the guy the made those kits, retired like 15 years ago. and those were front kits to make a trike into a quad. the reverse trike was a custom job done by the the guys from DW. they said it was worse that a regular trike.
  23. nope, it's cool. I'll take them out.
  24. Bump- still got them, minus the spacers. sitting in a box collecting dust.
