you would have to order it through a dealer or some place like Honda/Yamaha of Troy or Riva Racing that sells OEM parts. check in the back of any quad magazine for a bunch of places that sell OEm stuff. just make sure to tell them you want it for the '06 Anniversary Edition, not the Limited Edition.

You can try Quad Tech( http://www.quadtech-atv.com/ ), but as far as I know noone makes one and quad tech didn't make any thing for the Banshee last time I checked. if all else fails just order an OEM shroud for an '06 se.

yeah definitely clean them carbs( and if they look clean, clean um again for good measure) and check the routing of the cable. might have a tight bend that's causeing it to hang up. to lube it, I'd use Dri-slide(used it for years myself) it's "A versatile penetrating formula of Technical Fine grade Molybdenum disulfide (Moly) and Graphite with rust and corrosion inhibitors. Bike-Aid
-
you'll need to drill and tap out the hole in the center of the little tube sticking out the side of the carb inside the green circle( left side carb is the same just on the opposite side of the carb facing out). you'll probably need to file the end a bit too for a smooth face for the locknut on the idle screw to set against and give you enough adjustment on the screw.

what else do you have?? air filter and aftermarket shocks are usually two of the biggies. Filter lets the engine breathe better and gets more umph out of the pipes and all the horse power in the world isn't gonna do any good if you can't control it w/ crappy suspension.

Big differance between Douglass red/blue label?
pipebomb replied to Droppedatbirth's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
right off Douglas' site "STANDARD STRENGTH. Our "BLUE LABEL" wheels are made from .125 inch thick material, and are ideal for use in dunes and recreational riding. Certain "BLUE LABEL" wheels are available with a center plate reinforcement, designated with an "R" in the description of the wheel. HIGH-STRENGTH LIGHTWEIGHT. Our "BLACK LABEL" wheels are made from .160 inch thick material, and are designated for competion use, in such events as TT's and Flat Track. SUPERSTRONG. Our "RED LABEL" wheels are made from .190 inch thick material and are virtually indextructible, yet still very light. They are designed for rough use such as desert, cross country, clay tracks, and Moto-Cross. " -
yup. I actually pulled the switch out of the Clutch/ P-brake perch too since it wasen't doing anything and I had already gutted all the P-brake hardware anyway. I just left the wires and switch in the throttle housing til I break down and buy a replacement from TerryCable or Cascade or where ever to eliminate it properly( too cheap, but I'll drop 700 bucks to buy powdercoating equip. to start doing all my own crap myself, go figure ) just make sure you tape up the connectors real good. you can always go back in later and hack all the useless wires out at a later time.
-
that's the way I did it on my '01 (da blue one) and have run it like that for 2 years now. put a Motofast 2 into 1 intake on it and missed the connector for the P-brake. it would run, but bog right off to nothing as soon as you hit the gas( off idle right to WOT). put all the stock stuff back in and did the same thing til I traced the wires and found the wire to the P-brake switch was still connected(Doh!). unhooked it and (snap) fired right up and ran like a champ.
-
#1. disconnect the plug to the TORS box( little box next to the coil, can be also removed at that time) #2. disconnect the P-brake and Throttle switches( follow the wires down to the connector on each) #3. Disconnect both carb cap wires. #4. tape up all the open connectors( I pack them w/ dilectric grease too, Keeps the contacts clean) you should be good to go then. some people talk about splicing wires together, but I haven't had to yet by doing the above.
-
I had noticed it too and was just gonna say something about it, cause I was talking to a friend of mine from WA and he said his son was in that issue also when I saw it. He's on page 50, the little guy on the little KFX in the upper right.

I scanned the pix. have it up in a few minutes. updated:

did you make sure to turn the fuel off and hole the throttle wide open and kick it several times til the gauge stopped climbing?? If so you need a topend rebuild BADLY, cause you you should be at least around 120-125 psi in each.

Ripped Shock Reservoir Hose...How Do I Fix It?
pipebomb replied to Stinger's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
use this. much faster than explaining it here. just go down to the rear suspension section. http://www.trx250r.org/250rcatalog/86-89-TRX250R-svc.pdf for the the nitrogen charge, you'll most likely have to take it to a dealer or welding shop to fill it, unless you have the guage and a tank of compressed nitrogen. I think it's either a 150 or 200 psi charge. I forget right now what it is. I'll check and let you know if I find anything. -

pipebomb replied to Hollister_Hitman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I hear ya. but look at it this way. load a few on the trailer, pull a few things off each(pipes, wheels, fenders, etc) and if they ask, you not importing them, just bringing them back for repair.   -
2007 banshees and blasters in canada
pipebomb replied to Hollister_Hitman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hey, I'm an hour north of NYC, but my old man was a truck driver. if the money's right I'm quite sure he'd be up for a roadtrip to pick a few up. -
damn, wish I had known. my brother has a '00 YZ 250 he wanted to sell or trade for a banshee( as close to stock as possible.) And he's always down on L.I. out to he's bosses beach house in Montauk.

I used to browse BT and still do once in a blue moon, but it always to be a lot of my bike is faster nonsence and alot of guys w/ their panties in a twist when a newbie ask a question about something simple and actually chase the new guy off for being ignorant. Genrally I just found most of the guys over there to be just plain obnoxious.

mostly cause they don't have a rampant Breeding population of granola eating, exhaust pipe sniffing, tree hugging, hairy pitted, Hippie-dips and multi billion$$ celebtiies w/ too much time & money on their hands, supporting them like we do here in the US. I think the colors are pretty sharp. just wish they would dump that stupid gray panel on the seat. at least make it red to match.
