  1. Bear with me here guys. I get bulletins from a bunch of offroad groups(ATVA, BRC, ARRA, NYSORVA, ORBA, etc.) and Blue Ribbon Coalition has been sending out a lot of them in the last 2 weeks( just been to lazy/busy to pass them along) so I'm gonna put up as many as I can, but most will have the same title.
  2. thats the guy I got mine from, for the '01, couple of years ago. done alright by me and I've had it in for like 2 1/2 years now. just shot it w/ some hi-temp black grill paint before I put it in( pesonal preference). was supposed to go riding regularly up on a local mountain that was notorious for making bikes( especially Shees) over heat. just never panned out.
  3. looks kinda like Kristanna Loken. (T3)
  4. yupper. water/ice and hot oil do not mix. the oil flash boils the water in to steam and it goes EVERYWHERE!! http://www.cbs46.com/global/story.asp?s=5701836 hell, my uncle is w/ a local FD and went out on 6 calls for the same thing. once during dinner itself( first on scene to 1 cause it was like 6 houses down)
  5. Too much information there.
  6. they are baked at like 400* for around an hour. the ball joints tends to weld themselves to the socket in the A-arm in that kind of environment.
  7. I hear ya man, there's not much left around here I'm over in East Fishkill/ Hopewell area and I only have a couple of places left and the only reason I have those is cause I've know the owners for years. most of the places are either off limits or very private/ but permission only. Most of those are pretty selective about who they let use the place.
  8. All of them: ATV Action, Dirtwheels, ATV Rider, Atv Sport, Quad, and about 4 or 5 others. subscribe to the first 4 and just pick up the rest as I see them in stores.
  9. #3 sucked monkey balls. And I'm not too impressed with w/ the stuff I've been seeing over the last couple of weeks on #4. Sony's biggest mistake was getting Climax to do #3 instead of staying w/ Rainbow. But Sony just wanted Rainbow to do MX vs ATV Unleashed( which I thought to be FAR better #3) and not both.
  10. I got one too. Don't use it much and is nothing special. Was one of my sisters' bright ideas so I could "meet more people" as she put it. But since none of those "people" say anything, I don't bother w/ it. My Link
  11. I got 2 of them. one for pre 02 and one for 02-06. bought them and found out they wouldn't work for what I wanted. check for pix in the "For Sale" section. still wrapped.
  12. Their determined to sell that POS aren't they?? this is at least the 4th or 5th time I've seen it relisted. At least they listed it for a reasonable price this time( bid was at 2,125.00). it was listed for a starting bid of like 12k at one time. still don't see it as 100hp though.
  13. Mother of God!!!! you could drive a bus though that thing.
  14. how new we talking?? couple of weeks?? they probibly haven't broken in yet. my A-stars were real stiff and did the same thing. I just left them in the sun or near some place warm for a while and then put them on and would wear them for like an hour or just for a while as I was doing crap around the yard. the more you walk in them the faster they break in.
  15. JLATV sells those silly things too. crack me up every time I skim through their catalog. :yelrotflmao:
  16. damn skippy. I'd be shaking their monkey tree quite a bit too wanting to know what happened. I mean come on, the price jumped 100 bucks from the computer to the time you recieved it. but then again I been hearing though the grapevine alot of bad things about Trinity and Alba lately. totally wrong orders, big price over charges, and "mule back from Tibet" like delivery time. Good luck w/ it man.
  17. get yourself a clutch holding tool or "Grabbit". they will make your life much easier and safer. here's the one I got. paid a bit more at the dealer for it but was worth it. *Made from medium carbon steel with hardened jaws *Hold clutch hubs, flywheels, gears, sprockets, etc. *Features 8mm spanner pins *Jaws open up to 5 inches wide
  18. I think I'll just stick w/ my Axis and Ohlins.
  19. I agree w/ ya. I made a similar suggestion a while back myself. we did something like that on a couple of other places I frequent and we would put walk-throughs and other threads on the repeat "how do I ......" or "my bike does/doesn't....." questions. it helped cut WAY down on the constant "what's my bolt pattern" or "How do I bleed my Brakes" or the infamous "my bike ides real high, but wants to die when I hit the gas" questions. and by putting all the common ??'s and answers in one spot it also reduced the clutter on the board and aside from the general BS section every board has, our "Useful Info" section gets the most views on the board. here's the one from XCBob http://www.xcbob.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=20
  20. do a search, If I remember right there were a couple of threads talking about him packing it in and not doing it anymore. finishing up the ones he had an moving over-seas. that was like last April.
  21. careful w/ them, there was a recall on them a few months back for the aluminum centers cracking between the stud holes. as for the inserts, call HiPer and find out. have the phone, just not immediately at hand. I'll get it later if no one gets it up by then. unless you swapped the hubs for use a honda pattern, the ones u have don't fit the 400EX. almost all honda sport quads and few Zuki's use a 4/110 rear pattern . meaning you can use hoda rims on some Zuk's and vice versa. the Z400and most hondas use a 4/144 front as well. haven't had any dealings w/ the new LTR450, so I don't know about those yet.
  22. they're trying to sell that P.O.S AGAIN!!!!!  well at least they lowered the price this time. they wanted like 12K or some nonsense last time.
