  1. damn thats cool, it will be just like last time. im not gonna be doin any riding this time though, just racing, i really don't have anything to ride anymore  . hey bobby you get your alky bike running better?
  2. me and my brother are gonna be down there the weekend of the 18th as well.
  3. yeah i hear ya now, i kinda missread your post when you said that would put the piston out the top of the cylinder, i thought you said it would put the piston at the top of the cylinder thats why i said it didn't make sense. but yeah like booker said not very likely someone is gonna put a 5mm spacer under the cylinders. my vote is still on the vitos 4mm stroker stock rods
  4. that doesn't make sense, not trying to be a dick but if what you say is true, and it is until your last sentence. stock stroke long rod (+5mm to be exact) ok so you buy the piston with the wristpin 5mm higher than stock this puts everything back to normal, no need for a spacer with just longer rods. stroke is not affected by adding to the rod.
  5. looks like to me its vitos parts....that spacer is for the added stroke and yes the crank will look relatively stock, they run stock rods on them, yours are according to the numbers on the rod.
  6. hoosier flat track tires is all ive ever ran, mainly because i buy them used fairly cheap. American racers are aslo a good tire and i see them more frequently.
  7. :yelrotflmao:  thats great
  8. honestly i can't tell ya one way or the other, ive done both....sadly all my stuff is drag raced once its warmed up, but all my customers and anything that i don't personally own are ran through somewhat of heat cylces..ive had great luck going both ways, my blue bike on alcohol is still running the same pistons for 3 years now, never done any break in on it but then agian everything was right from the get go. Look at it this way, if its not going to handle it now its never going to handle it....but then again there is always that "but what if i had taken it easy for a while"
  9. i might had missed something but did you change carbs from going from alky to gas???? i hope...
  10. is this a oem crank or a hotrods??? sounds like to me that its a yamaha crank and you don't have the little tits on the bearings placed correctly.
  11. not a clue what happened here, i pm'd him about 5 minutes after he posted the topic about the arms with cash in hand ready to send as soon as i got pics and the paypal add, but never got pics.....
  12. not 100% sure but i think they measure 18" also, they are on a 10x4 wheel. Im pretty sure they are meant for just sand but i run them everywhere, its all i got!
  13. haha yeah that too! i still haven't went back since i have my bar now and the new swinger, a-arms, pipes, carbs, shocks, porting....SHIT! I can't wait to see what i can do.
  14. if i were you with a dune port and 20" tires i would start with 16/41 and see where that gets ya, thats what my brother ran on his dune ported banshee with 20" tires.
  15. ok cool, ill have to do that!
  16. you just have to copy and paste the IMG link.
  17. my group is still all on, most of them leaving tomorrow around 4:30 and im leaving tomorrow night around 8:30 so ill be there friday to sunday..
  18. so you wanting to build a dune bike and just occasionally drag it for fun?
  19. well i would say carbs and pipes for starters, timing plate, head, there are many many things you could do to it, like 06 said best way to build it is with no budget!
  20. oh ok well if you want to just get it moving than that shouldn't be a problem, but if you got drag ported cylinders your gonna need a lot of stuff to make it run like it should.
  21. man good luck on building something for under 800...i mean you got the cylinders but pistons are 140 and up then gaskets, swingarm, paddles, carbs, thats already over 800...nothin personal but that is a small small budget.
  22. There ya go  little easier
  23. yeah good point but try selling something that most people would want to up the performance of their bike. Or if you want to just ship them tell them free but they pay shipping!
  24. not being a dick or anything but your wastin your time.
  25. is it drag ported?? or just a dune ported 4mill? How tall of tires you runnin? 18/38 is pretty damn tall and will be hard to pull if its just a dune port. Ive ran a few setups and had the best luck with 17/41 so far with 18" tires.
