  1. weird....only thing i can tell ya since everything was fine before installing the reeds is go back and make sure you put them in right, maybe they fell apart.
  2. trex can be built to run, but like already said they are usually bigger cc's and cost alot more! i say go for it! but then again i like my old school shit...it aint the fastest by no means but its fun
  3. yes you have to use the plastic part on the reed cage or else the reeds will fall out. And also yes you have to cut the two rubber things off the stock intakes that stick down into to factory reed cages.
  4. yeah your right you do need the steady hand and tools, so you got the first step down. Now just do more experimenting and reading and learning to improve on the port job you have done. Not everyone is going to want a race logic stage 3 port job. what are you going to do if someone calls you and says, "i ride tight trails but occasionally hit the straights and race my buddies" or "all i do is ride dunes and drag race occasionally" or the "i want to drag race and try to be the fastest out there" are you going to be able to honestly tell them you can give them what they want? And again i don't mean to sound rude but just raising your exhuast 1mm isn't even close to a dune port in my opinion.
  5. i do not mean for this to be a rude comment at all towards you mopar, but honestly if the only thing you have ported 'banshee' wise is your banshee with a "stage 3" template then i would take blowit's advice and do a lot more reading on just the basic's of 2 strokes. i think you need to put yourself in the customers shoes. How would you feel if you sent your cylinders to a guy that just copies a template? Again no harm intended here, i would just hate to see you get your first job and the customer be unhappy cause honestly almost anyone can do the port job you have done just by reading this post with no special tools.
  6. damn loco you pretty much just nailed what i did to a T with our fellow member klemet.
  7. and who does a complete rebuild at 6 hours?? Stock tranny! i bet that shifted....not at all.
  8. 1.63 here
  9. now ive never had a yfz apart, but the honda and along with 90% of other four wheelers it seems like the rear motor mount bolt is also the swingarm bolt. If this is true i don't see it working.. well i guess you could make a spacer and put in there.
  10. thanks bud for the compliment, i cant wait to recieve them and get them back to you. I know you will be happy with them, and if for some reason your not don't forget what i told you. PM me when you get them shipped with a tracking number if you get one.
  11. i was thinking the same thing, i ran 17/44 and ran out pretty early in the 1/8th. that and 16/40 isnt much difference.
  12. 250 i got ya, last time i weighed i was 258, but my bike only weighs 290. On the times, im not that experienced with asphalt. I have done it a lot but only for fun really, i would love to really get into it but there is no where for me to race, i am the only quad at our local track and it is just TNT. But from what little i do know, there is deffinitly room for improvement on your slips. Along with mine, ive ran best of 7.4 at 90 mph with a 60' of 1.9 which is a terrible 60'. is that a 4 mill cub? no override i take it. and yeah what NYUK says, what gearing? I need some tires like what you got bad.
  13. i see, there is a lot of weight that could be cut off that thing! How much you packin on the seat, if you don't mind me askin? Also what is that in your picture above the swingarm, it looks like silencers...but idk.
  14. so are those your reaction 60' 330' 660' 660' MPH 1000' 1/4 mile 1/4 MPH
  15. get em Jeff!!
  16. it all depends on how far he ports your cylinders for the stock stroke. On some cylinders if they are very lightly ported for a stock stroke then they may be able to be ran with a 4mm. The problem you run into is your durations will be huge once you go to the 4mm.
  17. most places are gonna charge you an additional 50-70 bucks to port the case.
  18. it won't be a waste of time at all. You will still notice a big difference over stock, depending on what port job you get but porting the top case half is just another step you can take to make it run even better, alot of people get their cylinders ported and don't touch the top case half in the trails world. Im guessing thats what your getting, or maybe a dune port.
  19. that bike is 650CC's! put a 650cc banshee next to it and there is no race....whats funny is it wouldn't take a 650cc banshee to beat it, well set up 4mill cub would probably take that thing.
  20. haha hell yeah, we could go post a shit ton of videos of banshees spanking their precious zillas. have a poll on who would get banned first.
  21. i have more videos i believe of these 500's getting beat all weekend...bad tires, bad rider....excuses excuses....whos says that the banshee is setup perfect or it has the best rider on it, im sure its very capable of being faster as well. Sounds like to me your just pissed cause a bike with 142 less cc's smoked it. Not to mention the zilla had an OOF drag pipe on it, he pulled up to my bro for one thing, to show is shit off and beat him, guess what it didn't happen!
  22. imo the 28 pwks would be best for you.
  23. for both sides your gonna spend 50 bucks atleast, 60 at the most.
