now that i think about it, if i remember correctly when my brother ran nitrous on his mudracer i think he had to retard the timing or maybe just not run near as much timing as he would if he wasn't sprayin it. Is this correct? What timing would i run with nitrous?

haha really, what is the most you wanna run with nitrous?

both my bikes are running around 145-150psi and are +10 timing...squish is .0415" and .047"

Snopczynski can chime in and correct me if im wrong but what i believe he is getting at is a tighter squish will create higher pressures and not allow the engine to rev quite as easy or as much...but then again that kinda contradicts the fact that he runs .050"-.055" on a dune port to rev 9500 to 10000 and my bike is just over .041" and i know it revs that hard, so honestly i don't know! :biggrin: I would like to hear his take on this too cause my bike with .041" squish is only about 145psi due to the dome size/shape...so me saying the tighter squish will make higher pressures isn't always true. Im confused too

thats what i was told...not to go any tighter than .040" My trex is .0415" and my 350 is .049"

i see, i would probably stick to the 10 per hole....i have no clue what im at for power now but my guess with another 20 that would make me happy enough. Ive made up my mind, im doin it this summer. :biggrin:

well hell yeah, im definitly doing it then as soon as i graduate and get that J.O.B.! :biggrin: I am issue free on my trex engine for the past two years, so i think its time for something to go wrong! What can i put to it??? 50!?

what do you have to do to your tranny? Get the gears plated, undercut, billet 2nd, forks welded or what?? Im pretty sure this will be the next thing i do to my trex...i want to keep the cylinders cause they are old and you hardly ever seen them anymore. This is still cheaper to me than buying all new stuff to go the cub route. Only thing is my carbs are alcohol, guess i could pull a frank!

congrats to you all that have lost weight and continue to keep it off. I on the other hand am part of the FBT racing team! 6'1"ish and around 265lbs. :biggrin: I did however weigh 305 in high school when i lifted weights alot. Im with bellracing on the beer drinking contests!

Grain Valley is slow but its still fun and atleast you can get your bike on a track. 10 bucks to get in, 20 to race in the sport atv which is for a trophy or 30 to race pro atv for money.

yes, cascade sells the factory one but chromed. Its like what i have on my bike. One thing your gonna run into with an aluminum one is (if your running steel pegs) the aluminum is going to get all marred up and ripped in a way when it smacks off the foot peg.

i used to run HP2 in my bike but then i switched to alcohol so i ran castor 927...then made the switch to supertechniplate two years ago, i like it alot better.

for 1/4 mile your gonna need more than 14/42 even with a 21" tall tire. i run 17/44 with 18" tire in the 1/8th mile and run out of gear. granted the 3 inches you have me on tire will help a bunch but i have you on gearing by quite a bit. Ive never been able to run 1/4, so i can't tell you for sure but my guess with that tire height i would say atleast 17/41 and higher and thats if your motor will pull the gear.
