  1. try sandtoyz unlimited. Talk to John, super nice guy. 818-500-SAND
  2. stock cylinders are very capable of going 80hp. With the right pipe, head, intake setup and tuning...very achievable.
  3. :yelrotflmao: lol, those are the DG's that are meant to be ran with the stock heel guards.
  4. it wont be the choke tube, thats only on stock carbs. Sounds like to me if everything was working fine before you messed with the carbs, you got a piece of dirt in the pilot when you were moving them around. Pull the bowl off and next to the main down inside of a aluminum barrel type thing there will be a brass pilot jet. You will need a pocket flat headed screwdriver. Take it out and clean it and the passage in the carb.
  5. Ok I believe ive figured it out. I did some searcing and from what i found its been converted to DC at one time but it isnt anymore, none of these wires were hooked up and there is no battery. So now my question is, can i just tape the end of the 7th wire coming out of the stator up and wire the bike like I have the rest of them?
  6. Ive got a customers bike that i started workin on tonight and I noticed all these extra wires. Well after following them they run to some type of regulator or rectifier thing. Its about 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch aluminum box about 1 inch thick. It has a orangeish/brown wire and a purple wire coming out of it. Also on the stator their are 7 wires coming out of it and the green and red wire coming from the stator are cut and switched before they go into the plug in. Everyone ive ever built only has 6 wires. What the hell is this? My plan is to just modify the wiring harness just like ive done everyother banshee but id figure id ask before i go cut it all up. Thanks
  7. o'rielly's type f.... stock tannies to overrides trannies 6 years no problems, 1 clutch.
  8. Did it run fine before then it just started doing this or has this occurred due to you changing something?
  9. Jeff sells it. Russell Karting in raymore also has it
  10. Are you runnin stock carbs? If so make sure the choke tube is connected between the two carbs, not the balance tube or boost bottle which ever you may have. But the 1/4 fuel line hooking both carbs together.
  11. yes there should be springs on the fork shafts. Every one with that same cut ive setup does anyways. With my fat fingers its a pain in the ass putting them on too!
  12. Unless jeff has done something to it here lately his badass one is the older 660. His 700 is still farely stock i believe. Could be wrong though, i havent talked to him in a while about it.
  13. this is what i have, guess its 250  http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P6...amp;dir=catalog
  14. ive had two from o'reillys...both quit reading accurate and began to bleed off. I then got a Snap-on from my dad for a present, very nice and comes with nice case as well. Better design, even though you have to take the tank off i like it alot better. Not cheap though, my o'riellys ones where 25 a piece i think and this one was 225ish, somewhere around there i believe.
  15. sorry.
  16. lol, you mean BMEP?? not being a dick just thought it was funny. Break Mean Effective Pressure.
  17. if your getting the same reading from before and after the porting with the same tester then i don't see the problem? Even if the tester if off and doesn't give you an accurate reading it was just as far off before you tore it apart, right? So did you get them ported AND add a .020 shaved head? This would still make a little since, how far did he raise your exhuast port? Also on squish, ive always shot for no tighter than .040, especially on your setup riding style i would definitly not run any tighter than .040 probably closer to .045.
  18. yeah at like .028, which is too big.
  19. its a 427 trex, drag ported, 39 pwks, alcohol, 1-6 full override, stock clutch basket crank gears, and im runnin 18" tires. Its all i got, that will be the first upgrade(taller tires and american racers) The best time ive ran so far is a 7.4 @90mph with that setup. I have no idea as to what power its making and yes im a heavy rider  255-265. My 60ft is where im the worst, on that pass i believe it was a 1.86.
  20. what is he charging for the case porting? Its definitly a good idea, but if he is gonna charge you an arm and a leg for it there may be a better route you can take.
  21. its just a normal thread, lefty loosey, righty tighty
  22. what gears and tire heigth are you runnin? Im just curious, not tryin to be a smartass. I run 17/44 with 18's and have the 1-6 full override and run out of gear in the 1/8th. I know i need taller tires of course but you know, they cost money. I run dirt alot too so thats why i got the 44 in the back, im lazy and don't want to change the sprockets all the time. and if your gonna be running alot of asphalt, why not just get the 1-6?
  23. ive ran these before, the soft ones. I liked them alot but now i run the pro-taper full diamond softs in black and i like them alot better. best pic i got
  24. like just stated every setup is different but imo with that type of port you could run a shorter swingarm with less paddle. Maybe like a +8 with 10 paddles. Get better hook off the line with the shorter swingarm and then have the less paddle to really spin them down the track. But I could be way off, just seems like +12 swingarm with dune port is loooong.
