  1. not to be a dick or anything but just to make sure people are not misinformed....that port job is pretty rough looking. Far from a full drag port if you ask me.
  2. with your port work 28pwk's would work great. Thats what alot of my other engines are ran on that are basically around the same port specs as yours. Some may find it hard to believe but ive got other customers that run cpi's and 28pwks on this type of port work and get around in the trails just fine. Also another bike that runs rockets and 28pwks with more of a top end port with a 300lb rider and he rides anywhere he wants to; trails, dunes, mild drags..etc.
  3. dave like i already said, if you get the crank you will have to have the cylinders reported...and since i just ported them for stock stroke if i were to port them for the 4mill the intake duration would be too much. You can't run a stroker crank in those cyinders anymore.
  4. i run my trex motor at 145ish psi and +10 timing on alcohol...it didn't like alot of compression, well i guess ive only tried two different sizes of domes. That trex shit is too expensive to have a lot of it. my exhaust duration is pretty high as well though.
  5. ok i havent done it in a while but put the exhaust cam where the lobe points toward the exhuast, I cant remember which number it will be on the wheel but whatever that number is have the line on the arrow parrallel to the head surface. Now, with that in place whatever number on that same cam is pointing up, towards the tank you could say, count 15 pins on the chain back towards the intake, and on that 15th pin put the intake cam in with the lobes pointing towards the intake. Again i cant rememeber the exact number but whatever number is pointin up on the intake cam put that number right on the 15th pin. sounds funny but its right, i can get the exact numbers tomorrow if you need them.
  6. another thing, your cylinders will not work well with a 4mm now. They have already been ported for the stock stroke. If you want more power there is still alot left in them at the stock stroke. Just more porting thats all.
  7. you don't lose any power between gears, and yeah if you get the 1-5 it won't have the top end as it would if it had 6th gear.
  8. well if you got the money its well worth it. Once you ride one you will never want to ride a stock banshee tranny again. Price ranges from tranny to tranny but I think the 1-5 duneable with nuetral down from WCR i got for 400, maybe 375 cause i had three cut at the same time. And the money you pay is a service done to your stock tranny, just like porting.
  9. no hell, cause your right, both easy to adjust and expensive. Its just id rather take a few more minutes to adjust and save 50 bucks.
  10. the ricky stator plates are fine and cheaper than the others. http://farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=75
  11. sounds like you may have an air leak on the left side then. I would find it before you cause major damage. This will cause it to not run right and stump you on your jetting. you did replace all the gaskets when you put it back together didn't you?
  12. it is a tranny that allows you to shift without letting off the gas or pulling in on the clutch. its for drag racing and duning and well i guess anything these days really. There are many different packages that you can get but the most common is the 1-5 duneable with neutral down.
  13. what do your plugs look like? I know you told me that you run through a bunch of mud, but that airbox lid is killing its breathing!
  14. port work would give you more of an increase overall and i think you would be much happier.
  15. haha damn thats a really long race. i hope you got some tall ass tires or tall gearing. Your bike is gonna be topped out by 1/8th mile probably. But i still put my bet on the banshee, if the race is basically to see who has the most top end. which it sounds like it is.
  16. well with those mods, next would be rider....with a good rider on the banshee id put my money on the banshee, how long of a race are we talking here?
  17. depends on what you call slightly modded and also on how modded the zilla is.
  18. well then if i were id maybe leave it alone unless your just really worried about the crank. Unless of course you just wanna pull it apart to get it ported.
  19. as the old saying goes, if it aint broke don't fuck with it. check your compression to see if the topend is starting to go south. and if you gotta pull the top end off check the side clearances on the rod bearings. 10 years is a long time, ive got a crank in my black bike though that is out of a 2000 that is still completely stock and untouched and i ran it on alcohol and lots of timing and big porting with no problems, now the crank is back in my stock motor working great, so no tellin on yours just check the clearances on it. More power is always good though your right.
