Are you talking about sand MT. Nevada outside of Fallon Nv? if so then I was there with FAST500#12 and Bansheeseat$$. People on the site are from all over the North Americas and over seas so it isn't based on one sea board. Welcome to the HQ and hope to be able to meet in person. Where you located?

Yeah I was upset when I realized I forgot the camera but oh well. As of right now I'm not sure when I'll be back up there. Once I know when I'm coming up I'll be sure to let you all know.

how much you want for the entire bike??
-
Tat place is awesome, Nothing what I expected. There were vendors, tons of people, tons of really nice bikes, and of course a hell of a lot of awesome looking women. Had a blast for it being my first time riding in sand. The banshee ran beautifully but not as fast as Fast's or bansheeseat$$'s but good enough for my first time. I forgot my helmet cam laying right next to my bed in my room, but oh well. Bansheeseat$$ and Fast are 2 cool people I would ride with anyday, just need a rope to tie to their banshees so I can keep up. Fast where are the pics your buddy took??

Thsi si what I'll be driving. '06 Z71 Now for a short story.... first a pic This is what my dirtbike looked like this morning at 3am. I got home from work and started to get it all put back together. I was taking the bolts out( put them back in the holes So I wouldn't lose them) that hold the reed valve on. While I was taking out the first bolt I hit the frame and it fell in the crank case. I couldn't find it and thought it had fallen in the bottom end. I was so f**king pissed, Trying not to swear out loud at 3 am is not easy. I thought the only way to get that out was to remove the entire engine and tear it apart. I had given up and said "Well looks like the dirtbike isn't going anymore." As I turned around my knee hit the bike and I heard something clank as I was about to put the rag back over the openeing so nothing else fell into the lower end and that's when I saw the tip of the bolt off to the side of the piston. I sat there trying to figure out how to get it out with out knocking it into the case. Well me being an airframer working on the $35 million F/A-18 Hornets and has dropped shit in the voids in the jet thought "I wonder if it's magnetic....". Well shit I don't have a magnet". So I sat some more and saw my screwdriver in my hand that has changable tips and there is a small magnet that holds the tips in. SO I stuck a tip in the screwdriver and holy shit the bolt came out fell off the tip and right back in where it had gone before, tried it again and got the damned thing out. Got the reeds back in and called it a night at 4am. Let's just say I was so pissed when that bolt fell in, I almost said "F**k it I'm not going. I should be leaving first thing in the morning. I have to go to work and take care of some shit that I can't put off uintil next week. I should arrive in Fallon between 9am and 12pm Oh yeah... Pay not mind to the 660 that is buried under the boxes.....Bike is going back together once I get home

When to run Higher Octane & Best Fuel Mixture
Handyman replied to jkross's topic in General Banshee Discussion
^^^^what he said^^^^ . as far as octane rating and what to run..... the octane is your choice. There aren't any specific octane to run for a specific event. I run 91 octane for everything I do, MX, dune riding, pissing off the neighbors riding up and down the street, etc. The more motor mods you do the higher octane you can go Otherwise 91 octane should do. Congrats on the new shee. -
Your current jetting is extrememly close to what it will need to be for the PC's. Read my sig because my set up is close to yours

Hell I just may bring the tents and camp out. Hows the honesty of people if I leave my tent and stuff up and leave it alone? They aren't going to "aquire" a new tent are they?
-
i'm not afraid to ruff it. I like camping. Can you do that at the hill?

Talk about a pain in the ass trying to get a room. Everything is all booked up already. Thank god for The navy Lodge.

Ok Guys I need some info. I need to know where I can buy a pass for sand Mt.? Also, is there a place where I can take my rear tire off my dirt bike to get the paddle tire installed? My bike is down waiting for vent hoses for the carb and I would like to ride it before I pack it up just I have to work on it if it decides to not want to run. Oh I almost forgot, I don't have a sticker on my dirt bike and was wondering if that will be checked on my way in to ride? Any more info you guys want to give would be greatly appreciated. I have never ridden at Sand Mt so any info/tips would be well welcomed. If anyone else would like to come out and play with us lets us know, the more the merrier

I've always warmed the engine up before i take a compression test. You want the compression at the engine's normal operating temps. The engine isn't cold when riding around all day. some people take a cold reading and then a warm reading. If you do both and a have a lower reading when warm you may have a new top end in the very near future.

Sounds like it is a strong bike, mechanically. I understand that you are in NY but DAMN THERE IS A LOT OF RUST on that thing and rust weakens the frame where the rust is. Sorry if I piss you off and you not like this post but just pointing out a major thing most people look at when buying a bike.

I know it's not banshee related but I figure I'll give you guys first dibs on it. It's a 2000 Fuji, Pro team series, Dark green has the forks and bottom braket as well. The thing was well taken care of since the guy I bought it from hardly rode it. I bought it to make a time trial bike but I came to the conclusion that I don't need 2 bikes. Anyway, I'm asking $200. If you would like more info and pics lret me know.

Location and what's your asking price?

I've riden with a few buddies at the local track and a regular motorola or small radio that has voice activation with an ear bud or over the ear ear piece works just fine and very in expensive compared to the built in sets.

I've got 310 mains, 27.5 pilots and air screws 2 turns out. runs like a champ. BTW I'm at the same elevation you're at.

PM'd you

Today I will be going out to the track on the Navy base(Yes I'm in the navy) that was built by Racer X magazine. I finally got everything all set up and ready to go. The helmet cam I have I bought from Viosport.com. I haven't had a way to mount it to my helmet temperarily until last night when I jury rigged it while at work. For those who wanted to see the quality of a helmet cam video and picture you will be able to see it hopefully tomorrow if everything comes out decent. It won't be as good as Rippen's Videos. Also for who ever it was that wanted to know what Pro Circuit pipes sounded like This will be your chance. Keep an eye out for the video in the video section tomorrow(that is if it comes out ok.
