  1. If the Noss head was bad, I don't think Noss Machine would be a sponser on the site. I have one and it works just fine, looks cool too.
  2. I would try some 330's for the mains, needle on the 4th clip, and you can try the pilot stock. Play around with your air mixture screw before you change out the pilot. Also check your compression, don't want to get the jetting right then go out and ruin the top end because of some bad rings.
  3. Damn. Missed out on the trip by one week. Me and a couple friends went on the 16-19 and it rained every day. When the rain broke for a bit we went out. Was my first trip to LS and had a good time. At least you get to build a campfire, we slept in tents, no fire, no roasted hot dogs......had lots of ice cold beer though. Has anyone ever got the Desert Schnapps down at that German place in town. If you do the owner pays for your meal, if you don't he doubles it.
  4. I paid around 240 for the head and domes. If you order one just remember to tell them that you are a BansheeHQ member and you will get a discount.
  5. Just ordered some from magic racing. Anyone know if the springs that come with the kit are stiffer than stock? If so, would it hurt to alterante the stiffer springs with the stock springs?
  6. I milled mine 30 thousandths. I noticed more low end gain but not a lot. Now I have a Noss head and like it a lot better. No, you do not have to rejet.
  7. When we did the dyno I just wanted to check my hp and torque numbers. We got it into 6th gear and wrapped it to about 10k a couple times. The drop Michael said happens to all banshees. He said my jetting was dead on, my plugs looked good when I checked them before the dyno run. I don't think its the ignition, I never have any problem, starts fine, runs good. You can see where my clutch is slipping, the hp is goind up but the torque line is flat.
  8. sorry if its too big. First time posting a pic.
  9. Well went to LS, OK for the first time. It was a lot of fun but rained all weekend. Went to the dyno and got 47hp and 33 foot lbs of torque, not too bad for my mods I don't think. I also found out that my clutch slips at around 7000 rpm So I have to replace them. Any suggestions on which clutches would be best for me. Also, what do I need to look for on the basket to see if it needs replaced?
  10. You can get a Noss head with bigger domes and not loose that much top. I got one with 20cc domes and I noticed a loss on top end.
  11. Well lets see. We need to know around what elevation you are riding at and do you have any aftermarket reeds, porting. If I were you I would by main jets that range from 260-350. That way if you ever get any more mods you have the jets for it. Best way to check jetting is look at your plug. I spent a lot of time swapping jets, ridding, pulling plugs, and looking for the right color. I don't think you will be needing 30's for the pilot if the pipes and filter are all you have for mods.
  12. It all depends on the way your cylinders look. If they aren't scratched up, then you can just hone it. Sometimes you can just buy a set of rings and use the same pistons unless the pistons are bad.
  13. Get a Noss head.
  14. They will probably do just fine. You might need a little more paddle for draging and hillshooting though. I use 22/11/8 8 paddle haulers on my banshee and don't have anywhere close the power you will have.
  15. I plan on getting porting. Right now mine still runs really good and I am having no problems. I want to port it, just want to wait till maybe I start to loose some compression. Plus, I am buying a house, just got married, and I am rebuilding my old 1977 Chevy Silverado from the frame up so all my money is elsewhere right now. One day i'll get it ported or buy the cubs and then
  16. Me and my friends all used to use 20-10-10 10 paddle haulers. I lost every race, one friend had a 450 YFZ with cams filter and stroker crank and the other a 03 LE banshee with porting. After I did some reading on planet sand I decided to try some 22-11-8 8 paddle haulers. So I put them on and we went to the river to race. Me and the 450 traded wins but I still lost to the other banshee, but he is drag ported. The taller tire gave me way more top end and I didn't loose any on the bottom. Now we all run the taller tires with 8 paddles. Sucks now though cus I am loosing again
  17. I used to do that type of fighting. Doing the most damage won't win you a fight, controlling the fight will. It's not hard to swing and cut a guy, some guys cut really easy. But they were all good fights to me. Franklin is good, has good standup and some good ground defence. GSP is a good fighter also, really patient. Penn has not been fighting much so maybe he kinda took it to easy training for the fight. As for the guy who said UFC has turned gay over the years, LOL. It's not that the rules made it less bloody or that guys are not as good of fighters. All the fighters train the same way now. They all know BJJ, have standup, wrestling, greko roman wrestling, mui ti, and the list goes on forever. They are just more evenly matched. Fighters know how to protect themselves better now, can counter moves, and know how to attack against a certain opponant. Randy is old, but you say he would kick like your grandma, I bet he would make you cry and spank you on your ass like he did Tito in their fight. As for Diego, he is a really good fighter, but he hasn't lost yet either. When he does his attitude will change.
  18. Are the carbs stock?
  19. I also live in texas and im at 3000-3200 ft above sea level. If he is using 195 for mains that is way too low for clamp on filters and pipes. What part of texas you live in?
  20. 03 LE Banshee, fatty pipes, shaved head, +4 timing advance, aftermarket reeds, polished exhaust ports, clamp on K&N's, Vito's super stock pistons with stock bore. What size mains, pilots, and needle position? 04 LE Banshee, Dune port and polish, fatty pipes, aftermarket reeds, cool head 19 cc domes, 35 PWK's, clamp on K&N's, +6 timing advance. What size mains, pilots, needle position? Both these guys are having trouble getting the jetting right. Need some good opinions. We all ride at 3000-3200 elevation and it's around 70-75 degrees right now.
  21. Well he got the vitos pistons put in and it made a difference. He has an 03 LE with some aftermarket reeds, clamp ons, fatties, timing plate at +4, shaved head, and he polished the exhaust ports. I have the same mods but T6 pipes, stock reeds, noss head with 20 cc domes, and I dont have my exhaust polished. In a 300 ft race we are pretty even. If we go longer maybe 600ft , he pulls away by 3-4 quads. I dont know if the pistons helped that much or if it was the polishing, reeds, and pistons all together. He also uses 21 tall 6 paddle haulers to my 22 tall 8 paddle haulers.
  22. All my mods are in my sig. Just want a guesstament on what my HP might be.
  23. I had a buddy with an old moto 4. When we had to cross a deep creek we got off and it floated across just fine.
