  1. Pull the side cover to inspect
  2. You can use Keihin jets to tune the power valves
  3. 190 is way massive.
  4. I've assembled and tuned a couple of asphalt bikes for local guys. The main things that I found made a difference were gearing, clutch, less timing, slightly less compression, and tire width. There are two schools of thought. Some guys like to set it on kill and charge hard right from the hole so the bike is hanging it's lungs out at the finish. Other guys like to get to leave ok, and then really charge on the big end. IMO, I've seen faster accelerating bikes MPH less but still be faster, and that's how I like to do it. It's worked for me on two bikes I set up for drag guys, as well as my Oval racing set ups.
  5. Thumpers make more grunt down low for sure. But they are also carrying more CC's, and once you get past second or third gear there is just nothing left. Sure a Turbo Raptor will keep pulling but let's keep it apples to apples.
  6. Check the for sale threads here every few days. They tend to pop up. Lots of the West Coast fellas tend to pull stuff apart this time of year as it's a bit hot for riding. Also check the FaceBook stuff.
  7. 4mil cub, As narrow of a rear tire as you can get to hook up. Study up on clutch tuning. Play with gearing.
  8. Actually, I'm a Ginger. We shit Lucky Charms. Rainbows would be included.
  9. I've seen photos. Maybe if everybody here wasn't such a cock sucker about everything that's not theirs, it would be different and he'd post them in public.
  10. Photos seem ok. If you're really doubting it, get a new one from FAST.
  11. Idea... Read the manufacturers reccomendation as they have probably tested and melted several motors to verify what is needed with their product. Obviously some are better then others. I got on the synthetic train for a while and did every ratio from 32:1 all the way up to 50:1. Synthetics in my experience do not protect as well at 50:1, but leave more deposits when mixed at 32:1. After really looking at my motor parts I went back to Blendzall and Castor 927. Flawless.
  12. E85 requires totally different jetting.
  13. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You need to get a fresh basket, inner hub, and pressure plate. Might as well do a pancake adjuster as well.
  15. They can if you are good about clutching. However it is best to have the stock gears modified.
  16. Exactley!^ How stupid are people for someone to think they can pull an oky doke like that?!
  17. Most dealerships are. I gave a very specific list of wants and needs for a new work van. Yet over and over guys keep calling me out to look at shit that is not even close to what I'm asking for. Then one guy told me to come look at a van and when I pulled out cash he said there was a deposit on it already and that I could place a non refundable deposit on it in case the deal fell through. WTF?
  18. Yep. Stock trans is fine power wise, but it helps to have it modified depending on your riding. Drag guys like an over ride mod so you can shift it with out the clutch. Trail and dune guys fair pretty well with a Pro Mod. It basically is like making an old 4 speed Muncie Rock Crusher shift like a Tremec T-5/6
  19. Absolutely! However, when I got to o play with a set on the ice they felt like they signed off to early for wide open riding. But that's not what they were designed for, and you could easily compensate with gearing if need be.
