  1. I need a wide axle, not their drag axle. He's pretty sure he can make it happen. Johnathan Tomlinson and I have been talking about doing a 40mm aluminum axle that is similar to JJ&A but wider and if fireball can't make it happen, I'll wait on him. We'll see. Frame is under way and I've about got everything here or on order.
  2. Speaking with Rodger right now for a light weight one. I'm putting the Rad on my current bike.
  3. Haven't Tim, Kim, and Dan all moved in to other stuff? Maybe not so much Kim.
  4. You can certainly take the stock head and have it machined to work. But it would be more then "shaving it". That means milling it which just takes material off the flat surface. That makes a smaller combustion chamber and lowers Squish so that won't be the solution. To work with a stroker crank with no spacer plate, you will actually need to have the head Rechambered. This is where they machine the actual combustion chambers for the stroke and possibly use different profile on the angles and dish. That said. Most prefer domes in a cool head.
  5. Cubic inch of carbon fiber is roughly .62-.70 lbs.Cubic inch of Billit aluminum is typically around .94-.98 This appears to back up any research I've done. http://pelotonmagazine.com/wisdom/materials-and-construction-part-iii/
  6. Acetal, that's the Delrin family correct?
  7. Laminate counter contact cement. Q tip and alcohol the back of the Decal and area to be stuck to. Put the cement on and smush the decal in to it and pull it back out. Let it get tacky for a few mins and squeegee it on.
  8. Yes. I had a few small pieces at a buddy's shop and it appears we need some different tooling. There is a lot of conflicting info on what works and doesn't. So far I've seen one piece cut OK at best, and two more are scrap as the cutters exploded. The feed rate is far different then metal and it appears that the head is constantly snagging. Similar to that last nano second of when you are punching through steel and it pops and wants to bind up for a short burst. Carbon kind of cuts like that the whole time. Claude offered to do some testing once he's back to work, but I get the feeling I'll be a couple thousand in tooling for whoever decides they wanna do it.
  9. There's the problem. Vent lines are going under vacuum if you're using a lid or top mount filter. They need to draw air in and like that, it's possible they are doing the opposite. Try it with the lines vented to atmosphere.
  10. You will need to be able to machine jigs/fixtures or find someone kind enough to sell you theirs or fab you one. But here's an old walk through. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/146163-crankshaft-rebuild-walkthrough/
  11. Bump for a long shot. Weren't you parting out a lot of stuff? Would this happen to still be in your stash after all these years?
  12. Make sure the brass vent tubes on the bowl aren't bent.
  13. The point of a real website is to have organized product categories and the ability to run an actual E commerce shop. Facebook is just tons of photos you have to sift through to even find what you want, then you have to do the whole communication Tag back and forth before even getting info.
  14. 9's are for excessive timing and compression setups running race fuel and alky.
  15. That's because:-People complain every time something is more then a sentence. (Those same folks are also the people who complain when there's minimal info.) -People would rather you search old shit rather then get a fresh take on an old issue. -People tell you to just pay a builder rather then trying to figure it out. -Some mother fuckers know everything.
  16. Weird. Plugs look like they're washing clean on the base, but the electrode is crunchy lookin'.
  17. What's done to the motor?
  18. No matter what you do, somebody will be here to tell you, you did it all wrong... Haha. Just create a realistic budget, expect to go over budget, make something that makes you happy, and have fun.
  19. Do a leak down, bet it shows a bat crank seal on the right. If it's bad, split the cases.
  20. Aftermarket CDI? Rickey Stator?
  21. The domes that come with them need to be tossed in the trash.
