  1. Not exactley. You can sleev and port or even buy a sleeve with a relatively different port layout all together. The problem with putting a big bore sleeves in stoccylinders is that they choke off the already small transfer ports. Then you are trying to fill a bigger bore with less air/fuel mixture flow. A "big bore" or aftermarket cylinder is typically the better option. There are quite a few different cylinders available now with a few companies offering different port layouts that accommodate different riding from Trails, Dunes , or Drag Racing. They typically have far better port layouts and larger transfers or even more then stock amount of ports. This allows far more ability for a cylinder to pump more air and fuel mixture which in turn makes more power. We are to an age where a lower port time cylinder can create almost the same kind of horse power as a high strung drag motor, but just a bit sooner in the RPM's.
  2. Try the 30's with the air screw at 2-2 1/2 turns out. Let some air at em.
  3. Better to be rich then lean. If you're not lugging the bike off idle and stay sort of in the throttle and keep the motor fed with the needle at slower speeds you could be ok.
  4. No local shop to get some?
  5. Thank you for the lead. I've not yet looked at anything from Gordon Composites, but will give it a shot. I was told 12 weeks on an inget and I'm quite a ways past that so it may be time to investigate alternatives.
  6. Get some 27.5's
  7. Ya, you're ok then. Find someone with AFR on their dyno and start tuning accordingly. Just shy of 70hp on a poop tune is not shabby. I'd bet once you get a few jetting changes in, it starts to come alive.
  8. Not every bike with Shearers rev to 10k though.
  9. Check the squish, and run straight race fuel.
  10. Post photos of each spark plug
  11. And Air Stryker carbs are kind of goofy IMO. They'll jet totally different then a PWK.
  12. ^that? What fuel are you running? Also, have you gone over electrical? Gapped it all correctly and made sure the flywheel nubs are even? Flywheel still magnetic? Coil grounded well? New spark plug caps? Dialectric grease and cleaned all plugs and connections? Positive squish is .050?
  13. A man of your taste oughtta know this shit doesn't happen over night.
  14. Komisar Motorsports has been cutting the lower left rail off his junk frames and selling it with the title for guys looking to sort out title issues.
  15. So, knowing all you can get your hands on is 91, but you ordered domes that demand race fuel? Other issue I see, that crank is not welded. If you set a motor up for race gas on a stock crank and do not have it welded, you are essentially riding around on a time bomb. Save your self some headache, and order up domes that will work with the 91 octane you can easily get. Better yet, order domes from any engine builder and not Pro Design.
  16. Just another example of a talented fella who ran their mouth and chose to get hammered instead...
  17. Regular ol Brass or Derlin replacements don't fit?
  18. Umm... That's not to shabby. Nice info.
