  1. They need to measure the cyls, then determine how much material needs to be removed based on damage, oval shaping, scaring etc. in order to get a good bore. Then you order pistons and bore to the piston and desired clearances. Domes, you will probably have to just mock everything up in order to figure out what you have/need. Sort out which base gasket gets the piston edge situated around the ports where you want it. Then torque the cyls and check them with a good straight edge. Now you can measure deck height. With that dimension you can call a multitude of different guys who can cut you domes.
  2. That's a good one to dig up though.
  3. In all fairness to Jerry, my issues were with a different style head.
  4. For sure^
  5. I know you keep saying "stock" but most of their "stock" stuff has some work done unless it's ordered Raw. Did your builder order the cyls untouched?
  6. It's about big folks. Not lil' ol' you or I.
  7. Some folks will talk shit, but you're ahead then a few fellas lately by at least using a decent way of measuring. Your numbers are fudged though. That only shows a 48mm stroke. Get the piston at BDC shove the caliper slide pin all the way down till it hits the piston. Now slowly rotate the flywheel till the piston comes all the way up. Even if it goes past TDC the caliper should stop at the highest point. Subtract the difference. You need to make sure the caliper isn't wiggling though.
  8. Fuckin show off!
  9. 22cc should suffice. You may wanna make that 280 a 290 main though.
  10. Could you put your format in a file and E-mail it to a customer to create a graphic in your lay out, then send it back to you to be printed and cut? I'd pay extra for extra time.
  11. Magnum/PE Mattoon Hinson
  12. If you did a leak down and it pressurized the radiator, you have another problem.
  13. Pull cotter Loosen nut Move caliper out of the way Pull hub off
  14. Subby with a round grab bar instead of the pointy death spike is a decent option. No need for a seperate grab bar.
  15. ^ that is the best option if you can bump in to someone qualified.
  16. The bigger the transfer, the bigger the blend, the bigger the gain. Stock cyls with mild port work will only see a fractional gain, yet bigger mono jug stuff will net a decent few ponies if you do more then just gasket match. There is a difference between case porting and just gasket matching.
  17. That fortune cookie has lied to you....
  18. That's disgusting! PPS puts some killer lines in the design. Just fucking hot!
  19. It gives the front suspension "rake".
  20. You referring to the bottom rails and where the arms mount?
