  1. Google threads from Evan(358banshee), SNT, and my buddy James (Domestic Beotch). In that order to boot. Evan did probably one of the coolest builds. It's a totally custom chromoly frame with an EFI 4mm motor. SNT showed what you can do by chopping the front right off and going with a total redesign with more modern geometry. Domestic Beotch and I did one where we wanted to see just how much better things could be with out a total redesign. The goal was to dissect the front end piece by piece and re assemble it all with narrowed center point and more rake. That is a total DIY that turned out pretty well given it's time frame and ZERO dollar budget. Another inspiration would be to look at the bike Springer built for special blend. That thing was to long for my taste, but the front end was fucking tits! Gulp..... Maybe see what's up with Thack's new frame. Sounds like he got someone to build his wet dream frame. Last but not least, search for stuff like loco did with his hill bike. Chopped it off and had a site sponsor bend tube to his desired specs and assembled it him self. That was a pretty slick set up. Think outside of the box. Hell, I can't seem to avoid the life vortex and I've given up on a custom chassis, but I've found many walsh and laeger 250r hybrid frames for cheaper then the banshee outlaw and protrax frames and there is considerable room if done right.

  4. Never understood why yamaha let polaris walk on by with the RZR. They kicked off the performance side by side market after people got tired of gators and Kawi mules. When side by sides took off it was the Rhino that guys were hopping up. Polaris saw what was happening and figured they would take it to the next level and they were ready for a fight. Instead yamaha laid down and now they have the all new Viking which isn't half as nice as the polaris ranger.

  7. I've had some machine work done long ago, I think it was before you left michigan back around 2004-5ish. Time frame could be skewed.

  17. Right. And there should be a similar hole on the right side of the left carb. Make sure the bowls are correct as well. You would have a good laugh if you knew how many guys swear they got them right and then actually take 'em apart and find out they were flip flopped.
  18. Those carbs are disgusting.... No way they were cleaned properly. Actually clean them, not just deuchè the bowls with carb cleaner and call it a day. Then blow out ALL ports with air. Pilot is the itty bitty flat head in front of the main. Size should be on it like the main. It should not be stock in your situation. Air screw should be 1.5-2 turns out. The choke passes through the carb so that it can activate the right side carb as well. Make sure you have the bowls situated correctly for the choke to run/close properly. Also, there should be a piece of rubber tuning from that port to one on the other carb.

  21. I'd imagine it is pretty boring running a 30k rigid bike. After all, it's over in 4 seconds or less. That's twice as long as the average attention span of some folks here.
