  1. Think superfastyfz450driver did his upper arms. Regardless, this thing is pretty bitchin!
  2. Typically stinger diameter. Different brands of pipe have some different oddities to tell. The BB Shearers will have a pretty tell tale sign of a bump out a few inches beyond the flange.
  3. Lone star exhaust?
  4. 18 CC on a 68mm bore and stock stroke is a lot of compression! Even though the exhaust is high and you are up in elevation, that motor still needs lots of Octane. Have you tried 110? AV fuel is about 100 or so, which might not be enough. Sounds typical of a motor needing octane but someone throws fuel at it to compensate. Also, a 50 pilot is huge. Other jets are a bit off. Switch oils if you wanna run an oil rich mixture. Those synthetics made to run lean will follow plugs when mixed like that. Post pics of the plugs.
  5. Back when I worked in a transmission shop, I ordered some needle bearings to go in there. They are far superior to the junker in the bronze race that you see on EBay. Pretty sure they were out of the Toyota U series transmissions. None the less, it's a pretty stout part and it's been put in the same motor after 2-3 rebuilds.
  6. Wait! 260 mains with exhaust and intake? That's a time bomb waiting to go off.
  7. What does your flywheel key look like?
  8. Any way I can get a view of the splines?
  9. A 30 pilot is quite fat for a few bolt ons and a stock air box. Especially with that UNI foam filter. Those need constant washing if they are gonna keep breathing well. Try a 27.5 IMO since you have a few mods.
  10. ^ truth.
  11. If you verified carbs are clean, and cable and slides are free of sand, it's time to look for an air leak. I'm with JD on the compression test. Look for a variance from one cyl to the next. How do he plugs look?
  12. Speaking my mind. If it starts revving all weird, then check. But if someone is using quality gaskets and clean flat surfaces, taking their time, it should be evident that it is ok. Some folks just do everything the hard way so i guess those same folks needed the extra insurance that they haven't fucked it up. If you are truly capable of working on these things you should be able to feel when things are/arend going together properly.
  13. Stock cranks if welded are holding up in 100hp alky drag motors for a few seasons.
  14. T5's are definitely gonna feel lazy IMO. I would definitely try CPI's with your riding with out hesitation. They will come on pretty decent and not sacrifice much if any noticeable bottom end.
  15. The smacking of the cover will surely bother you once your cover has a divot almost all the way through that nice direct drive cover. I thought the point of a different lever was to get it to clear that kind of stuff? Might as well just bend a stocker.
  16. Tried loosening all the u bolts on the skid plate and clamping it where you want it, then tightening up the u bolts?
  17. What pipes are in it now, what do you like and dislike about them? What do you want the bike to do differently? What type of riding do you do? "Dune" at this point pretty much means potent midrange. If you ride fields or any open trails where you wanna be able to wind it out, "dune" type power is pretty friggin sweet.
  18. It was the regular rockets. The R2's pull a few more RPM then the originals.
  19. Mikuni TM or TMX. Stick with the proven Keihin PWK's as there will me mountains of proven set up info available.
