  1. Lots of Tyson stuff out there going strong. Pretty good stuff for the money.
  2. Might as well grind the transfers a bit while they're open... I'd imagine you could weld em up and leave enough meat on the outsides to press the sleeve safely then finish them.
  3. For the record, these were the first Billit bowls for the stock carbs. Quite possibly still the only ones still. So for you fellas wanting to make big power on stockers, but don't wanna risk sucking the stock bowls dry, these are the solution.
  4. I'm talking my full tilt 4mm with carbs and all. An 80+hp stock cyl on race gas is not much cheaper then a ported serval. In the end, both consume plenty of fuel, but the serval would be able to make the same if not better power on cheaper pump fuel.
  5. Yeah. If I get time in the next few weeks I'd like to clean out the shed. So I'll be going through boxes and I'll see if I can get them locked up and get you degrees and heights.
  6. ? Alky has a hard time lighting because of octane level and a few other factors. How does boosting octane make it light? Or are you tossing it right in the bell of the carb?
  7. Redline, but if you're not happy about your buddy waiting a few months, you are in for a rude awakening.
  8. In the end, a full tilt 4mil stock cyl is only 4-5 hundred bucks less then the serval. And the serval is just a far superior set up. You can do on pump gas with a serval what a high strung stock cyl on race gas with compression and timing.
  9. Cuervo, Chariot.
  10. In a crate this whole time.... Just tells me it's been sitting with out any oil or fluids. Seals just dry rotting away and getting crunchy this whole time.
  11. Oh shit, just realized you said PWK not PJ's. Mostly the same except the 1/4 turn fitting inside the slide. That will need to be unscrewed.
  12. Grip the cap with one hand and the slide with the other, now with the hand on the cap, wrap you're fingers around the spring and begin to compress it tight to the cap. Once it's compressed and not wiggling to much, push the cap and slide together and work the cable over in the notch And pull the slide off. The 1/4" hex is spring loaded and will need to be compressed and turned a quater turn counter clockwise. It will now release and allow you access to the needle.
  13. My internet ego is bigger then yours.....
  14. I bought an old set of stockers with 10mm sleeves. They stick out of the cylinder a bit and the head is cut to accomadate the difference, there is also a spacer on the bottom of the cylinders. Lotta work in them and they still barely made 100 hp and it was all too end. They were Viper sleeves. Never bothered to put them together.
  15. Spray bottle or one of those hygienic squirt bottles with premix
  16. So much hate on the Keihin PJ's. Nothing wrong with them, but they do take a bit of experience to get dialed in correctly. They are cheap, plentiful, and support motors that make decent power. If you have a motor with enough timing and compression to keep good bottom end, the PJ's are decent. As far as Duncan, they quit doing R&D on banshees back when Jim Vidmar ran Pikes Peak for them. Even that motor was a bit goofy and only won because of a superior rider. There are far better fellas still actively pushing the boundaries of the little ol' 350 twin.
  17. Polish the crank snout, Quality seal, Quality grease on the lip, seal the Keyway. Problem solved.
  18. It just presses in to the hole. Little dab of whatever you seal your cases with on it will help it slide in and stay sealed up. It's nice to put a small hose off of it to make sure it dumps beyond the back of the motor.
  19. Better option, post what you got. Have you acid wiped the bore? Also, you can diamond hone nikasil. As long as you don't have any gouges, grooves, or flaking you're probably fine. I magnaflux nikasil on stuff that's old or worn. It can reveal stuff you can't see with your eyes.
  20. Not that I can think of. Just helps clear exhaust.
  21. MMA, that's kick ass. Nice work, I could think of a limitless uses for that. Can't wait to see some parts done.
