  1. probably davemooreracing.com lots of places you can buy them on ebay podos racing sells them, I think.....check with Big Blue on here, think he has one
  2. I don't think there's any foolproof way to get deals on ebay. If you want something, it doesn't matter when you fucking bid, because some other jackass wants it just as bad and will ultimately raise the price to damn near retail. So you mash the Raise Bid button the last 2 minutes of the auction, because your arch-nemesis bidder wants it too. Then, it's no longer about the fucking item, it's "this bastard ain't gonna win", and soon you do the equivalent of going all in with a pair of fucking deuces in a game of Texas Hold'em. If you're lucky, you lose on the auction and laugh cause the other jackass just got his price jacked up at the last second, and you try again on the next auction.
  3. is that the yammy dealer right off of 22 at stayton/sublimity? they use to sell LSR stuff on ebay pretty cheap
  4. it takes the place of the stock clutch adjustment that snugs the pressure plate up to the clutch disks. to install, all you need to do is pull off the pressure plate, replace the stock adjuster with the pancake bearing assembly. put some gear oil on the bearings before you install it to give the bearings some initial lube.
  5. If you're gonna port the cylinders, send your crank to whoever is doing the portwork to get it trued and welded. With a good port job, those 450's won't even be in the same ballpark with your banshee. good luck
  6. I'd call quicksand, myself.
  7. For the rear brakeline, it depends on what type of carrier you're going with on the new swingarm. With the round carrier type, the caliper actually sits at the top of the rotor. I can't remember the overall change in length from stock, but it almost seems like it was shorter, or the same length. The chick that works the phone at Cascade Innovations knows what length, and I think their rear brake line is like $25. Can probably find it cheaper, but maybe she'll tell you the length over the phone. As for the chain length, just buy a 120 link chain and cut down the links to size.
  8. $25 tusk clutch kit with 3 or 6 toomey springs
  9. What was it setup for? Swingarm Length? Weight? Riding Style?
  10. unless you want to learn more, I'd send your whole motor to Jeff. it's probably an hour of shop time, you get a complete solution, and won't be held up unnecessarily for missing something here or there (like losing a small screw, an o-ring for a coolhead, ie the little shit). I'd rather just get the whole motor back knowing that all of the tolerances have been checked, it's been leak down tested, compression is right, squish clearance is right, etc etc
  11. My original port job from cameron was a 4mm dune port. Then, I went to a 4mm cub setup. Anyway, the dune ported motor was an awesome runner. Matter of fact, next summer, that will be the same setup I'm gonna get for a dune bike that I plan on building. 76HP, stock carbs, pump gas.......I surprised alot of people with that bike, including spanking a 450R on nitrous 3 or 4x in a row up comp hill in Florence. I'd highly recommend Cameron for a port job. I know if you've been to the dunes in Oregon, you've seen quite a few of his bikes run the hill.
  12. Pretty sure you can beat $550 shipped. Call some builders. My builder is in AZ at the Planet Sand drags, so he won't be able to give you a price until next Tuesday.
  13. Brooke, I need to see pics of your cookie Friends of mine that have been to Glamis recommended going to Buttercup, unless you want to be around all of those people and crowds. Personally, I'd like to experience all of Glamis at least once. Looks like a good time.
  14. yup
  15. No matter which way you slice it, you'll either need a spacer plate or cut domes. You can buy a 4mm stock length rod, run stock banshee pistons, and a spacer or cut domes. You can buy a 4mm long rod, 795 series pistons with a spacer or cut domes.
  16. BLASPHEMY! BigRed350X's words are the divine truth, and we shall obey. With his unparalleled knowledge of guns, chicks, hazardous road driving, life-flight trauma, porting, transmission modifications, case splitting, welding, frame modification, rhino liner application, and unforetold other fabrication expertise, we have but the wisom of infants in comparison. Clearly, this is a workmanship issue with your HotRods crank.
  17. A man escapes from a prison where he's been locked up for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns. Inside, he finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While tying the homeowner's wife to the bed, the convict gets on top of her, APPEARS TO kiss her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband whispers over to his wife: "Listen, this guy is an escaped convict. Look at his clothes! He's probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain... do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is obviously very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us both. Be strong, honey. I love you." His wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me that he's gay, thinks you're cute, and asked if we had any Vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you, too
  18. A ported banshee can beat about 95% of the 4 strokes out there but in stock trim, the 450's are pretty quick, especially in short races in the sand
  19. It's important to have confidence in your builder. I'm glad it's working out for you. Curiosity has got the better of me though. Who built your old cub motor? And a question for Jeff: What was messed up with the porting on the cub? I really am curious. I want to know the symptoms to look out for on a motor that is hard to tune.
  20. I think the spacer is for if you use it in a raptor.
  21. I know K&T ship alot of stuff overseas, you could try them as well.
  22. I think there's an extra spacer shipped with the axle for Raptors to align the sprocket. I had a G-Force axle once, and it looked like a damn good axle. Problem was that I allegedly bought an Axcalibar LSR one, so I shipped the fake back and got my money refunded.
  23. Is there brake fluid in the lines or something else? I've never heard of that happening.
  24. Good luck with that one. I've never got someone to answer that number. :: Even so, you can buy the pipes cheaper elsewhere than direct from him most likely. Same with CPI pipes.
  25. I wonder if it's the same company. I got the web style from them, and it was pretty nice when i got it. Welds looked good, chrome was decent. The only flaw on it was the round piece where the carrier slides in. The steel had some kind of wrinkle in it that you couldn't see bare most likely, but when it was chromed you could see it if you were looking directly at it.
