Something struck me kinda funny today, and reminded me of this thread. How can Deja Vu be explained from the evolution standpoint? Honestly, I can't explain it Biblically either. But at some point, I'd guess everyone experiences this phenomenom. Were we to indeed evolve, how could this happen? Additionally, why hasn't a land predator evolved in the last million years or so that would overpower even us humans? It seems like the human is the uber-evolutionary species. I don't see cats and dogs developing weapons of mass destruction or modes of transportation. They still clean their assholes with their tongues, while humans have developed soap and washclothes instead. Just rambling at this point, but I was curious how those questions are approached by someone that doesn't believe that God created us to rule this world.

Your IQ test was right, you are a genious, smarter than Einstein could have ever hoped to be.
-
They won't evolve for another couple billion years.

happy birthday, man.

Happy Birthday, Brooke.

I didn't say I believed in God because Einstein did. Our theories on God differ substantially. Anyway, I guess I misinterpreted what you said about being intelligent enough to decide what the truth was, and took it as you saying any intelligent person would believe in evolution.
-
what is the point of mocking someone's belief? some of the most intelligent people in the world believe in a God. Was Einstein an idiot, or are you just smarter than him?

I've always run Toomey clutch springs.

proof and faith don't co-exist. if you prove something, what role does faith play in anything? additionally, what room would be left in making your own decision knowing this truth? If God himself appeared before you and proved his existence, he would be forcing your hand. Is that they way to express love? As for going back and debating the passages, what point would it serve honestly? In your heart, you disbelieve no matter what explanation was given, not that I'm some Bible scholar that could sway the hearts and minds of the masses due to my superior understanding. It saddens me to see religion used in negative contexts all of the time. Bible thumpers knocking on your door, the Crusades, the Inquisition, etc etc. I look at my brother as an example of what faith in God can do for someone. He's 34 years old, and was diagnosed with a rare degenerative heart condition. Doctors say that he has the heart of an 80 year old man, and that over time his vital organs are deteriorating, because his heart cannot pump enough blood to supply the needed oxygen to sustain normal operation. He undergoes an experimental heart surgery. 2 weeks later, he goes in for a chest x-ray, and they find spots in his lungs and swollen lymph nodes (he's never smoked in his life) almost certain indicators of cancer. Most people would be bitter with self-pity. My brother doesn't even want us to know, because we'll worry about it. His faith in God gives him the strength he needs to focus on the things in life he can control. Is his faith worthy of mocking? I don't believe there is any physical proof that justifies evolution or christanity, there's just evidence to support both theories. Decide your own path, but respect others' at the same time.

for the crank, you can go on ebay and buy it from VIPRACING450 for like 425 shipped. or you can buy a complete rebuild kit (gaskets, pistons, bearings) for 600 or something... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STROKER-CRA...55954QQtcZphoto Hard to beat those prices on components. If your cylinders are already ported for stock stroke, you definitely don't want to run a spacer plate, instead get your head cut, or some domes cut for a coolhead. Otherwise your transfer timings are gonna be insanely high if they've been previously raised.

same here, mine's an 8 over drag style. Personally, I wouldn't user their swingarms for hard duning, whether you get the drag style or normal. I don't believe there's any gusseting on their arms, so that would make me nervous hitting some hard whoops or jumping, but that's just me.

yeah, that's me, the dumb ass. if the carbs were not what you expected, why not say anything until you defend your weasle ass for welching on a deal? you're just a clown, dude, that'll use any excuse necessary to make yourself feel better about fucking other people. if I'm the dumbass, talk to anyone on here I've ever dealt with. ask demonshee about what kinda dickhead I am. later

I doubt vwpartsman is gonna lose any sleep over missing $5. The point of the matter is that you are either a man of your word OR you're not. From what I've read, jlm talked himself out of the doing the right thing and instead is acting like a child instead of nutting up and finishing the deal he agreed to. Why is it that Rsheppik is the board douchebag now, and this guy isn't? It's the same damn principle, just different amounts of money.

120 is the length I bought for mine with a +4 and stock gearing. seemed like I ended up cutting a few links out
-
I'll go against the grain, I guess. The hell with all of you crackers. Big Blue is a downright thieving bastard, because he wouldn't sell me his a-arms for $100. There I said it. Big Blue is good people.

Don't have anything to add to the rusty pipe thread, but the shee in your avatar is SICK!

One thing you need to understand is that out of the box, they have drag port timings already, so the dune port thing goes out the window unless you wanna deck your cylinders. I'm not sure what a Hot Cam is, hoping it's a typo. The Hot Rods 4mm long rod crank comes trued and welded from the factory, but have been known to separate with the factory welds. The +4 swingarm is gonna be way to small if you hook up on the surface you'll be riding on. Based on some of the stuff you put in here, I'd recommend just getting a set of dune ported stock cylinders. You will be much happier and have a better "all around" motor that can kick the shit out of most bikes, yet not be a pain in the ass to try and ride.

I got a brand new 4mm cub motor that I was gonna put in a drag bike, but I just don't have the money or time right now to finish it. I'd sell the motor complete with stock side covers for 2500 This comes with a new NOSS Head New Cylinders New Pistons New 4mm Long Rod Crank with TZ Bearing For 3000, you get intakes, VF3 Reeds, and your choice of PWK Carbs For 250 more, you get an override For 275 more, you get a polished lockup cover/lockup Gonna put it in the forsale section soon, unless I change my mind
-
the poll will be most likely skewed anyway. the more people that run one type of piston will have more failures over the long run, so it may appear that a particular model is worse then the others, when in reality they could be the best. btw, the biggest pile of shit piston was left off the list...the stock one

Sounds like brooke needs to relieve some tension.....

i gotta couple things up my sleeves, man.

there are numerous builders that can make stock cylinders run good. I use to have your line of thinking, in that more HP is better. there's a suggested list of things to do to your motor to accomodate the extra horsepower (clutch, carbs, pipes, reeds, etc), but the real challenge with those motors is getting the horsepower to the ground. if your chassis and suspension aren't hooking all that HP to the ground, then it's being wasted. the guy you called today can certainly port a set of stock cylinders, and I'd recommend him highly. he's done 2 4mm motors for me and will be working on the 3rd very soon. cam's the man.
-
having your pistons rise above the deck shouldn't have any ill effects on rings, because there's a certain space between the timing edge of the piston and the ring grooves, which is a larger distance then the negative deck height.

Triple Port Exhaust Nikasil Bore 65 and 68mm Bores and Various Strokes from stock stroke to 14mm. Better cooling They just perform like no other cylinder right out of the box. Do a search on here, this has been discussed many times, including pricing, and all of the required pieces for switching to a cub setup.
