    I have plans to ride in april if the weather is good, we used to go every year for opening weekend but we finally realized riding in 40 degree weather out on the dunes is not all that fun!! if anything it will be late april early may before we head up there.

    I have found on my 4 mil cub, 170 seems to be the sweet spot. I like to leave the comp alittle low and crank the timing. seems to come out of the hole harder!

    cubs are a drag racing cylinder right out of the box. You can castrate them down to try and get more bottom end but why would you want to?? what kind of riding do you do? if you are not drag racing?dunning I would say dont wast your money.

    last year I put a piece of rubber between the pipe mount and the peg. this year I just double nutted the bolt and left it alittle loose so the pipe can move and not break the mount.

    used it in my drag bike before I went to an override, worked really well! I also bought the new shaft with the mod already done. he also has an easy shift spring that helps also!!

    just have to remember to click up twice if ya wanna start in second right dave :yelrotflmao: alot of the hill racers like the n down because they can get to the end of the run, click it into n and coast back down the hill.

    if you are running a tee in the fuel lines you will run one carb out before the other. its because the fuel takes the path of least resistance. if he ran out of fuel on a wide open run, it will more than likely burn it down. also a blown head gasket can cause a lean condition and make it go boom!

    do you have any way of measuring the distance the piston travels from top dead center to bottom dead center?? that will tell you for sure what you have. stock banshee cranks will travel 54mm and a 4 mill stroker will travel 58mm. does the piston come out of the cylinder with the 795 pistons and no spacer top and bottom??

    I have rode this bike a couple times, it is one of the fastest four strokes I have ever riden!! And like jeff said, hit the key and go, you can run the strip for a while, then blast on down the trails!!! wish I was not buying a house!!! I would love to have this bike!!

    go with the 1-5, in order to put enough gear on the bike to go 660 ft you are gonna have to launch in 1st. if you wanna run dirt later on, just regear and launch in 2nd. I wished I had a 1-5 when I was running 660 out on the ice this year!

    ran jeffs clutch for three years on my cub. worked great!! when I went to alky I finally bought a lock-up ran that with all stock springs and jeffs clutch.

    I go every year in april, weather is not that bad most of the time. Never seen snow though! I usally stay in a motel that early in the year. if you wanna go and free ride and just about have the dunes to your self this is the time to do it!

    if you are gonna dune ride it I dont think you should cut the bar off above the engine mounts. but as far as the gussets go you should be fine

    hit up blewbyu, he has a chassis that he did what you are talking about. it looks really good!! I dont see why it would be a problem as long as it was welded real good if you look closely at my sub frame you will see that there are mounts for inframe pipes! I used to run inframe shearers.

    r6 rear shock and 300ex front shocks. puts the control arms just about level.

    I am gonna take both bikes I think, may just take the play bike though. not much to race that early in the season.
