Remove and clean the carb out...even though you drained the gas. I'd bet the pilot jet is somewhat plugged (I use a piece of speaker wire to clean the tiny holes in it) and your main might have some gunk on it too... Running the bike might have broken up some gunk and caused it to lodge elsewhere in the jets from sitting for a few days again.... Could be the ignition...but I'd definitely clean the carb real, real good before I spent money elsewhere....

Has the bike run fine since you removed the TORS? You have to disconnect the parking brake wires, the tops of the carb wires, the black box under the left side of the tank, cut the wires going into your thumb throttle...and you did install the idle screw kit on the carbs, right?? Your bike is A1 bone stock, as in stock pipes, stock air filter, stock air box, with the lid and snorkel? What elevation do you ride at, what temps are you riding in? Are you using fresh gas and oil, new spark plugs? Have you done a compression check lately??

Funny... You make all your own stuff, are a master builder tuner, etc. But you can't even make your own swing arm?? That's pretty pathetic... That's like telling me you can build your own house...but can't even cut a 2X4.... Your family owns a hot rod shop...but in all your infinite wisdom and custom ability you can't create a simple swing arm??? Wow...you are impressive to say the least.... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry727178

Yep... Pick up a set of digital calipers and measure the ID. I bought these from harbor freight... Normally...I try to steer clear of their tools. You get what you pay for... But I'm not a machinist by trade, so I don't need tools accurate to .000000001...if ya know what I mean. For measuring drill index bits, needles, etc., these work just fine. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=95846

Nope...it's been on the shelf, new in the bag collecting dust...just waiting for a perfect recipient... DING DING DING...we have a winner, Chuck...tell our lucky contestant what they've won....

Yeah...I don't like to mess with helicoils for spark plugs, especially if the compression is gonna be higher due to being milled. For 20, you can start over and not have that monkey on your back...and get it milled again. I'm sure a good machine shop can fix you up, but you'll always be wondering...and for a few extra bucks, I know it's good "mental insurance..."

Yep...I'm all better now... I'll be sending you my poor me cry towel in the mail, be on the lookout for it... You can dry your eyes and wipe your ass with it, in whatever order you choose...

You're right... I should go run from the cops and brag about it on a public forum.... Maybe then I could be a movie star...on COPS...you're really providing for your family there!!! Like I said...here's your shovel, keep on digging.... I'm a great example, I call BS when I see it...

Actually...you have no case. You dug your own grave...and there's nothing to get over. If you, your opinions or so called accomplishments meant a single thing to me, then there might be something to get over. I'm 31, have already secured a home...have for a long time...and I already take care of those around me. I don't care if work or not to show my what you say you can do...as said, nothing you've said or done impress me at all. You got a family and now you're working on securing a home...and I'm the jackass?? Yeah, ok... Preach on...I was done with this thread, but if you're going to continue to run your mouth...I will defend myself. Don't think for one second you're gonna have the last word.... You are right about one thing though, the more you talk...the deeper you dig your own grave... Here's your shovel....keep it coming.

Nah...mine will start no problems, I'm gonna richen it up quite a bit being they're a new carb setup for me. I know I'm gonna be fat as all hell.... And I bet at 9 AM, when T&T starts, it's gonna be a bit colder than 59...like...high 40's, low 50's...should be interesting....

Dan is probably building something BIG for the AVI race in November out west, he put up a post on PS about put up or shut up, pretty much saying he's tired of hearing what other builders should run or are gonna run...bring it to AVI. I'd be surprised if Rob @ RDZ wasn't building something for that race as well.... There are a lot of big builders out there, but just because our season is coming to an end...California (dunes, Glamis, etc.) is just starting to come alive. Hell...they have more riders on Halloween and Thanksgiving than anyone would be my guess...it's a Scene... As said...I'd pick up the phone, see who answers, who calls you back...and get a feel for them. There are a lot of guys that do good porting, but I'd hate to see you send your cylinders off and 8 to 10 months later still not have them back...

I think Brent and JT get a mix of Sade and George Michael goin on.... Wake me up...before you go go... Wait a minute, that's my reaction time song.... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

I'm running a DJG Racing ported 10 mil that goes 4.2 if anybody cares.....LOL.... I don't think Dinner is looking to go to the drag strip, he needs a good strong dune port and he'll be rippin' it up...
-
Only one way to find out...call them, and have them commit to a time if you need them in a certain time frame. If they don't meet that deadline, make sure they are 100% clear you'll want your cylinders shipped back...
-
I need a detached garage, that's all I can say. I go in the garage to smoke, and I'll be damned if I just dont' sit there and stare at it...every time.... Can't wait to ride, better richen things up...gonna be high of 59 out there...
-
Yep...and I had 2 97 CR250s....they were good running motors. The first aluminum chassis sucked ass, but the motor was AWESOME.... Sorry...back on topic...
-
A 10 mil cheetah with a 73 bore is a 535 I think...however, you'd have hard time finding any kind of builder that would recommend small bore pipes for that motor. I'm not saying they won't work, but I'd bet money 95% of the builders out there would recommend big bore pipes for it.... 4 mil and smaller motors used to be small bore, 7mil and bigger big bore. That's all changed, Smaller motors have been running better (not all, but some...) with big bore pipes... It really ALL depends...
-
Bigger bore Cheetahs (73mm I think) are that big, not the 68mm bore cubs.

Yes John...and I'm still waiting for you to stop by and install some of these parts....what's the hold up??? Big Blue and BIG_BLUE are two different people...I've made the mistake... I can vouch for the one in MI. He is BIG_BLUE. Unless he specifically told you I'll over night it, etc., I agree with the rest, chill out....if Bigboy will vouch for him, it's all good. However, these guys are not to be confused with my other screen names I do business as... Last time I was out in LA is was in the 50s or 60s...and people were walking around in winter coats, while I was in shorts and a T Shirt.. I just had to laugh....
-
Yeah...I run benoil now, but will probably switch to super techniplate come winter time. Meth bikes are a PITA big time to start in the cold... Ether anyone? Plus....like gas, you gotta give it more fuel in the cold. Try running meth on a frozen lake in the single digits or low teens.... I would check the carb cable ends for frays, clean and lube it with a low temp spray, etc. As said...check the springs, and give the carbs a good cleaning. Benoil can gum up a little in real cold temps, and it doesn't like to STAY mixed in meth for too long in cold weather. Just gotta shake ...shake...shake the fuel can and your bike...
-
That's fine Scott...but I called over a month ago. And I've sent a PM as well... I don't expect an immediate response...but just a common courtesy call or return PM in the last MONTH or so would've been nice...even if it was to tell me what you just did here. Best of luck with everything......

Help Installing T.O.R.S. Removal Kit
dajogejr replied to flyRTby's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Nope...and I've used the Vitos kit before, Motion Pro.... I've done a LOT of stock carb conversions... can you shrink that sig pic? It's obnoxiously large...please!!! Did you file the boss you tapped down flat? I use a die grinder and coarse scotchbrite pad, it's very soft aluminum. As long as it's not stripped....you should be able to lock it down fine with the locknut supplied with the idle screw.
