  1. i've powdercoated plenty of aluminum cast wheeles and have never had a problem

  3. make sure you didn't put your pistons in backwards, i had a brain fart and did that, and it had the same problem
  4. turns out most of my prob's were caused by a junk stock carb so now i have new trued and welded crank w/ hotrods new 20cc domes freshly resleeved ported cylinders new stock bore pistons and a pair of keihn pwk carbs with new k&n clamp on filters man this thing runs so good !!! i love her!!!

  6. powdercoating doesn't make anything weaker, it just doesn't get hot enough
  7. can you buy a lower ball joint alone or do you have to purchase a entire lower a arm?
  8. sounds like you need to strip that bad boy down and have everything sand blasted and powdercoated

  15. well i will check compression monday if its near 160 i may set the timing bask to zero so that it will be safe because i have no idea where to buy race gas and really don't want the hassle everytime i go ride
  16. i usually run 93 octane mixed yamalube 32.1 my mods are in the sig, how do i know if i need race gas? also timing is +4

  18. yea they are all in right, and i went and cranked it today by holding the throttle wide open. i was pissed because it sounded perfect but kept hesitating so finally i just laid into it and it sputtered and poped then BAM it just pulled like a freight train. ran great, only thing now is its still smoking alot at idle and half throttle and my half throttle has shitty throttle responce but pulls great up top. did a full throttle plug check and my plugs look a little on the rich side but about where i would want them to be. i think i need to change the clip position and maybe the pilot jet, but i think the main is dead on so i think i need to still play with the jetting and i think its all gonna be alright boy it felt great to hear that thing hit the powerband and have the wind peel my eye lids back

  20. well i feel like a feel dipshit i put the damn pistons in backwards, i gotta switch them around tommorow and see if my woes are gone

  22. thanks guys, it sucks i really wanna ride the damn thing but i gotta get this jetting right first i really think my problem is all in the jetting, cause the bike sounds fine by that i mean the rotating assembley all seems to be in good order by the way do you think +4 is to much timing? being that i also have 20cc domes if i'm on 93 octane mixed 32.1? i think i may set the timing back to zero.
