  7. it started out to a rocky start i lined up with a few drag raptors, yzf's 450r's and a few banshees. they were all running snow tires on very loose dirt i got spanked every damn time but then i went back to another spot that day where there was harder dirt and realized i was holding on to one gear way to long, so i was shifting faster and at a lower rpm and the difference was like night and day, i waxed a few banshee's and a 450 with snow tires and didn't lose again the rest of the day so that felt good then i was talking with a couple of other banshee riders and they told me i had way too much air in my tires (14psi) so i lowered it down to about 4.5psi which made the tires much more flat. then i went to kick her over, i pulled back the clutch and BAM my clutch cable popped soooo i had to be towed back to the truck but all in all i learned alot about my banshee and i can't wait to go again this weekend and do it all over again. riding a banshee the right way takes alot more effort and is completely different from the 4 pokes i've always rode. i love it!! btw is shifting w/o the clutch a really bad idea because i rebuilt the bottom end and the gears look like they stay constantly meshed just the shift fork that moves? so it really doesn't seem like a bad idea
  8. take out the holding clip with some needle nose pliers then take a socket and a hammer and beat it out one way then flip it and beat it the other way. and it will have enough play so that you can remove it. or use a press

  10. sounds like your dad was under qualified to do the job and didn't do it right. i have a 97 f150 , previously had a 96 silverado ,and i am a mechanic at a shop where we work on everything. and fords, chevys all have their problems .both makes are good if you take care of them and fix them when they break (chevys are much easier to work on) common problems with silverado and f150 ford f150 - bad about vacume leaks , o2 sensors, mass air flow and iac valves getting dirty. and dpfe sensors going out chevrolet- staters, battery bolts and spacers, water pumps, lower intake manifold coolant leaks, and fuel pumps
  11. check for air leaks. thats what claimed mine
  12. are you throwing a check engine light? if so what is the code and the code number. should be a number like po1111 or something like that. you could have a million things but what diagnostics have you done so far is it getting spark, is the fuel pump running and if so whats the fuel pressure at? check that stuff out and lemme know, we'll get it running by the way have you checked the emergency fuel shut off switch in the right side lower kick panel in the cab? make sure that the button is pushed in.
