1. yea its got part numbers and came in a box that said replacment sleeve for banshee actually after further inspection i think it is correct and the bottom bridge is trimmed out after instalation
2. my neutral impossible to find while running i have the cases split right now so i was wondering is there a trick to fixing this problem?
3. just like the title says i'm looking for 1 20cc dome for a prodesigns cool head
4. i just got this sleeve off of ebay. and i don't have the cylinder right in front of me but, it doesn't look like i got the right one. can anyone tell me if it looks right or not?
5. it blew up because of an air leak not really jetting. it just seemed kinda large the plugs are black but i posted some pics up of them a while back and the picture made them look very lean but they weren't
6. i recently bought a 98 banshee then it blew up on me after 3 tanks of gas so i have a little down time to check out what i had in the motor. since i bought it used i really didn't know mods are in the sig but i'm running a 370 main jet doesn't that seem large?
7. if i was gonna get a brand new bike i would get a 450 anyway
8. it can't be as bad as mine, at least i hope not for your sake
9. I just use an impact gun and hold it with my hand. 280955 thats how i did it
10. sounds like hazard county, you friends with beau and luke?
11. on a 4 stroke they are easy because you just pop them up while going slow and feather the gas but on a 2 stroke you just hit the band and pull back and don't freak out
12. probably smoked to much crack
13. that site is SLOOOOOOW it takes forever to load pages and pictures btw i'm on broadband
14. has anyone done this? i am thinking about running dual egt gauges on my shee when it gets back together. that way i will know if i'm leaning out or what. or if one side is richer leaner than the other. does anyone know the general exhaust gas temp of a mildly modded banshee?
15. does anyone know where i can pick a set up at?
16. mine i need to take better pics when i get it back together
17. i think i was wot but cases have been split and cleaned out completely
18. Sleeve job? Those look like coolhead dome o-rings on the top of the cylinders. The jetting looks pretty close, maybe a little on the lean side but not by much. As far as bore size, I have a set of cylinder at .090 over and have never had overheating issues. is the left cylinder gouged at all? It doesn't take a bad crank long to ruin a good bore. 279303 tell me about it sending the crank out to be rebuilt tommorow, ordered one sleeve, also ordered complete topend kit, and new oil seals boy this is starting to cost some serious change
19. i have no idea i just bought it 3 weeks ago. btw the rod snapped so i need a new crank and a new topend bot didn't excpect all this when i bought it but all i'm asking is does the right side piston look ideal jetting wise? it looks like it is to me. obviously i know the left is fucked
20. oh i will for sure btw what do the right hose clamps look like? this is what the bike had on it when i got it
21. does the right hand cylinder look like it was running rich or lean?
22. yea i think the cases are good but i think one of the jugs might be trashed i'm gonna take it to the local shop and see if its salvagable
23. well here it goes as i tore the motor down i found that one of the reed valves was installed upside down. on the cyl that [censored] up on me. the other side was just fine. i think that was causing a lack of oil to the bottomend. to make a long story short i snapped a connecting rod and i think i also bent the crank, because when i rotate the motor by hand i can see it rubbing the top of the caseing any ways heres pics of the upside down reed valve and the rest of the motor looks like i got alot of work ahead of me. i found a guy who has torn apart alot of shee's so i'm gonna let him gimme a hand with it from here luckily i'm a mechanic with alot of good tools or i think this may have been a pain
24. so take the motor off and take it apart? oh boy that sounds like a nightmare
25. whats the best way to clean metal shavings out of the bottom end when i get the cylinders off?
