if i pull the choke out it will barely run and the pipes don't get past 80 degrees when its running, so that tells me its defiently rich and i haven't ridden it enough to make the plugs have any type of color change yet. wouldn't blocking off the air to the carb just make it run richer? if anything i would need to minus the restriction to make it run leaner, i would think. i know i defeintly don't want it running any richer

also i have an adjustable timing plate. but its set at zero. should i just bump it up to 4 and see if its still rich?

so i just got done with rebuild new crank, pistons, had cylinders resleeved from 80 over back down to stock (other mods are in my sig). when i try to ride it it bogs and i think its due to a way rich condition. my pipes are only reaching temps of around 78 degrees, both cylinders seem to be the same temp. before the rebuild my pipes would be around 250 degrees which is why i think i am way the fuck rich. i would just rejet it but i don't have access to a jet kit right now being it newyears and everything is closed it has a 370 main jet, which i thought was pretty rich even when i was at 80 over so basiclly i am asking what you guys think. i think my problem is all in the jetting. also any ideas on what jet i should jump down to? like i said i went from a 66mm piston down to a 64 everything else is the same and i'm at sea level but i am very happy to hear her run its benn a while thanks in advance!!

thanks, thats what i figured, i'm setting mine to zero due to the fact that i have 20cc domes and pnly have access to 93 octane

on mine i can't figure out where the mark is on the casing so that i can set it. do you just use where the cases meet or what?

am i pushing it running 20cc domes? i am at sea level and mods are in the sig also i don't ever run race gas. just 93 octane with yamalube 32.1

i have a nice bit of port work done to my cylinders so i would really like to keep them do you think i'll feel a big decrease in power going from a 0.80 bore to stock bore? 290403[/snapback] You might see a power increase...at .080 over you might be running a little hot. just found out i have to resleeve both cylinders on the shee, and get 2 new pistons the bad part is i would have been able to just go big bore but i already bout a sleeve and other crap, to make a long story short its gonna be another 500 bucks to get her running again grand total now up to 900$ for this rebuild man... this sucks

why do you think that about yamalube? i have heard good things about klotz, how much does that stuff run? i was thinking of switching to that
