  1. does lowering the amount of teeth on the rear sprocket give you more bottomend or topend? i always thought you lower the teeth to lower the gearing
  2. trade k&n pods for proflow k&n for stock airbox i have a set of pods for stock carbs and a set for 28mm carbs the set for stock carbs comes with outerwears prefilters
  3. i'm dropping my gearing down also for draging and woods riding. trying to decide if i should go 38 or 39 any suggestions?

  5. i guess i will go to home depot and try to rig something up damn i hate to lose power with the airbox but i just ride through to much water and mud to use the pods
  6. is it possible to run 28mm carbs with a airbox. i need a bigger airbox boot, the stock one is much to small. does anyone think i will feel a performance loss switching from k&n pods back to a airbox w/ no lid?
  7. if i go back to using an air box with no lid. will i have to rejet? also would the stock air box work with pwk 28mm carbs?
  8. i recently got a deal on a 400ex rolling chasis (everything but the engine) for 75$ i am trying to figure out what i can do with it i would like to yfz motor it, but i am on a very tight budget for this one i was looking at a ktm360 motor. but i may still go yfz. i have no idea what i will use this bike for, and i'm not in a hurry to do anything with it just would like so ideas
  9. its an airleak. the same thing hapened to me from detonation the piston starts fusing its self to the dome on the head. this is what mine looked like this is also what happened

  11. yep after further inspection i think i have a clutch problem i will let you guys know more as it goes on thanks for the help so far
  12. no mods at all . the bike sat for a couple of weeks then this happened so maybe its bad gas. i don't think its a clutch thing because it doesn't feel like its slipping into nuetral
  13. topend was replaced about 7 rides ago good compression, the motor isn't blown it still runs fine just no real kick in the ass at WOT

  15. for some reason my shee is revving fast but doesn't make any power. i mean it feels normal but then it never gets into the powerband never really opens up at wot. ( it doesn't bog at all) so i figure i must be lean but i pull both plugs and they look great( tan cardboard color). it was jetted back when it was about 60 degrees and now its about 70. i haven't changed anything since it was jetted i also tried running it with the choke on and that didn't help at all i also cleaned my filters and it made no difference. it seems to lead to the idea that i'm too rich, but the rev with no power is usually a sign of lean jetting, right? it also idles kinda higher than normal someone also told me that weak reeds can lead to this problem. any ideas?

  17. man i would probably trade my banshee for it but you don't want another banshee would you want to sell the motor and other components that i would need to put it in my 400ex?

  19. i ordered a new clutch lever tuesday because this shop promises me that it will be here for the weekend. then they string me along until friday afternoon when i call them. so they can tell me, "oh sorry man it didn't get here" if they couldn't get it they should have owned up and said that to begin with no riding for me in this beautiful weather

  22. nothing is wrong with my shee but i was wondering when i should change my reeds? btw i have boysen power rads
