  1. You guys stop it your killin' me
  2. Kayleigh I'm not sure which is worse admitting that you said that, or not remembering the difference between deaf and blind. Here's your sign.......................
  3. DO NOT PULL IT WITHOUT A PULLER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, nuff said. Trust me it is a lot cheaper to buy a puller from the local dealer (Motion Pro for $9.49) than it is to buy new flywheel. Just for fun call the local stealership and ask them how much they will rape you for a new flywheel. Plus four will work just fine for your mods..............
  4. Isn't the round house carrier better than the stock carrier? I was looking at the Swingarmshop on Ebay, and they are looking like stock carriers as well, but I am not sure about the ones for $120.00. I would seriously be thinking about you get what you pay for............. How many people have used the swingarm shops swingers and like them. Plus how long have you had the swinger and its durability................?
  5. If you put on 35 PWK's, does this totally eliminate the need for this system or do I still need to chase down wires?
  6. If you are going to the cub, and if you have the money I'd go with the 4 mil 68 bore cub. I would definitely get rid of the T-6's, I'm pushin' it with the T-5's but was told by my builder that it will work fine until I can afford better pipes...........
  7. Ya thats what I am dredding putting it back together and making sure every little piece that I pulled off goes back on my bike the way I took it off. Then I get to work on the jetting , Oh joy, and hopefully I don't tear anything up in the process. I'm actually surprised that it all came apart as easy as it did. When I work on my trucks I usually break shit and have to replace things that weren't broken when I started . But hey it whould go together fine....................
  8. Did you do a plug chop on it after you rebuilt it, just to be on the safe side? Also when you went to the sand did you go to the same elevation that it was jetted to, or did you change elevations so you needed to rejet............? It also sounds like the jetting between the sides was off if one got hotter and the plugs were not the same between the sides.................
  9. You need to pick a oil that you like and stick to it, don't change around just because one happens to be on sale. If most people are running 32:1 or even 40:1 with a certain kind of oil then you may want to follow suit. The book is going to tell you to stay within safe levels because they don't want to take the liability for you destroying your quad. A lot of the people on this site have been riden' shee's for years and know what they can get away with. Good luck man..............
  10. Hey Banshee~ is that pic photoshopped or is it real? If its real I bet they burried the pastor behind the church the next day when he came in............
  11. There will never be anything that comes close to the banshee and its fun factor. Speed will always be up for grabs, but the banshee will always hold its own....................
  12. The new blue board is easy on the eyes. I was just curious though is there a way to make the screen smaller from side to side, because scrolling up and down is one thing but now I have to scroll side to side to read or see the full screen. Is there a setting that I can change to allow me to see my full screen without scrolling from side to side...........
  13. Well that should be half of California..............
  14. Hey Lee, nice looking board, change is gooooooood. I like the new header with the personal pictures of members....
  15. It is mainly done if you change the flow rate of the incoming air or the fuel. You need to balance the air/fuel mixture or ratio. This is done when you open up with K&N, pods, pipes, larger carbs, port work, new head, new domes, new reeds, well you get the idea............
  16. Man it helps to have ties to the local Sheriff's dept.
  17. Works for me too..................
  18. dajogejr is right the added weld by your builder is the best, but I would go with Wiseco and Jeff at FAST.............
  19. Any engine builder can do it for you, but go with one you trust like Jeff at FAST. Welding the crank strengthens it for more power capabilities, and the trueing is the same as balancing...........
  20. Watkins is right rejet and try it again. If that doesn't work while you had it apart you may not have put something back right or you jarred something loose. The overrevving sounds like it could be an air leak. To check this spray carb cleaner or starting flued around carbs and if the revs change its a leak. But you definately need to rejet because you changed the airflow rate.....
  21. Hey welcome to the forum, and just an FYI ya may want to proof read your posts before posting them. With your mods they would probably do ok, but carbs that big are usually for more airflow (port work, stroker, cubs, etc.). Put them on and find out, if it isn't what you want take them off..........
  22. Ya its a great mod Boonman did mine a while and back, and nuetral was so nice after that. I didn't have to shut the shee off to find it, or I mean hit it I knew where it was...........
  23. First off the fuel line goes down to the carbs and will fill the bowls to overflow tubes. Second, wouldn't it evaporate all the fuel away and the oil would stay behind. And thirdly your coolant water fills the head and cylender jackets. From what you said I think you need to check for a water leak, and it may seem like it is fuel because it has the residual in there that makes it smell like it, but I'll bet it is water and you have a leak. If you get water in the cylender it wont fire and when the cylender tries to compress you push the piston up as far as it will go, but because of the water it wont go all the way. The reason for this is you can compress air (normal operation) but you can't compress water (it acts like a solid). So it will act like a seizure, but it should move freely with the plugs out. Anyway just a thought, hope it works out for ya..............
  24. I just sent my engine out to Jeff in Kansas from California in a plywood crate and it weighed 105.85 pounds. The crate was made out of 1/4 inch plywood with 2x2 supports. I would guess the motor was about 85 pounds, because I also sent a new head with it. Hope this helps...............
  25. I agree with East Coast, need to protect those wheels. Good luck with that.......
