With a compression tester of course........ You can get them from local shops or any of the common ATV sites on the internet. You take out the spark plug and screw the tester in just like the plug and kick the motor over until the needle stops moving. The highest reading will be your compression. Do that to both sides and they should have the same reading give or take a few pounds, but if they are off a lot, then you have problems that need to be addressed.............

It sounds like the II's a little while back. There were post saying that they were junk because the screws were coming out after install. You just need to make sure that you are careful when they are put in. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with them, but there is a first. Before I gave up on them completely you may want to try them or even help your friend install them again and this time check, check and recheck............

Ya, It all depends on your compression. If you have detonation you better shut it down or get more practice crankin' those wrenches. Otherwise increase the octane level to compensate, and you may take a look at AV 100 (aviation fuel) 100 octane but not as pricey as race fuel.

Man, dirtwheels actually did an article on the two stroke? I thought they were only tryin' to make the 4-pokes happy along with all the vender's and advertisements. Ya, it would have to be a different color, or mayby a choice of five colors to match our shees. Because of the different requirements an additional flag would be cool. Maybe even use those tiny zip ties to zip it to the poles, and then cut off the excess and it would look pretty clean.........

As far as I know you don't need a permit on either lake. I know people who go both places and have never heard of anyone needing a permit. You just need to have the boat currently registered with DMV and you may have to pay launch fees to use the ramps, but other than that you should be fine..........

Yes, Glamis is in the great republic of California, which requires tags. Green stickered bikes are allowed to run any time of the year throughout the state, but red stickered bikes can only run certain months of the year. I've never heard of anyone getting popped for it yet, but I don't know everybody. Good luck...................

Ya, I hear ya on the wierd rules for flags. California and Nevada allow flags on the backs of quads, but I hear there are states that want you to put the flag on the front of the quads instead. Instead of smackin' in the back of the helmet on squirly shit it would hit you in the face. I would be interested in the HQ flag when you iron out the details. The idea with the smaller or same size flag below the orange one would be cool. That way you could get the HQ flag in different colors and then still have the visibility of the bright orange............

Ya, the change in elevation is kinda drastic. I was told that if you change elevation difference you need to change one jet size per 1000' (just a ballpark figure). Then do a plug chop at the new elevation to see if it is right. Good luck man.............

Ya you needed to put a little WD-40 on the threads of the puller and make sure that it bottoms out when you screw it in. Otherwise I heard because the threads are so small if not enough bite, they will strip and you are FUCCCCC$#*@$ with a capital FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. New wheels are not cheap either................. good luck man

Just call the stealership and find out what length and cut the bolts are for the stock setup and get new ones a hair longer..........

Spanaway WA. isn't that in Tacoma WA. I lived next to American Lake for a while and could have sworn that I swam in Spanaway Lake a few times. I believe there is an area that carries the same name, but whether it is an actual town or not I'm not sure. Sorry man, but I don't live there anymore........................
