  1. I was going to say call a shop that re-valves them, they would know for sure............
  2. Well I guess it is back to the drawing board for me, but can someone explain something to me? When the motor (er, ah engine) is openened up with say a 4 mil cub and v-force reeds, 35 carbs, and pods, why does the jetting go down? Unless I got that backwards but the lower numbers mean smaller jets right? If so, you are pushin' more air through the motor then don't you have to run more fuel through as well. I mean I hear people runnin' 320 and 340 mains on a ported motor with pipes and all the goodies........... I may be way off base here, but can someone clear this up for me. Thanks for the info......
  3. Runnin' T-6's on a 4mil . I heard from people that have used them and posts on here that those pipes were designed to give better hp to stock shee's not modded bikes. So, don't be surprised if you don't like them......
  4. Word
  5. Ya, I remember this thread. The problem is it is going to always be different unless you have the same exact conditions. I mean the speeds above are going to be ball-park figures. It will depend on tire pressure, tire size (amount of nobies left, ambient temperature, humidity, elevation (higher elevation, less air pressure, less combustion pressure, and less % hp), weight of rider etc. etc. etc. Your best bet would be to go find someplace to get up to sixth with a pace car or truck with you, then you will know what your banshee's top speed is with you on it, temp, air pressure blah, blah , blah.........get the idea....good luck man
  6. If the chain is too long cut it, if it is to short then get a longer one. No offense but this is not rocket science...........4,3,2,1,ignition...............
  7. Ya, I've tried and failed many times, not to impressive, but when I figure it out it should be saaaaaweeeeeet. It's that balance point that I am trying to find............Good luck
  8. I've come to the realization that everything in the great republic of CALIFORNIA is illegal. In fact I think it is illegal to be illegal............
  9. Caught................. what an idiot. Too funny........
  10. The new spring and re-valving will be your best bet, unless you go aftermarket...........
  11. That looks sweet. Is it LED........
  12. You may want to check your throttle cable...............
  13. Oh come on now, I think a paddle tire would fit rather nicely on that fine piece of machinery ..............
  14. Hey I have a better idea, get ahold of Dave (aka dlnoss) and he'll tell you exactly which ones to get. He would know all about it since he is the one that makes them. Good Luck............
  15. Did you follow torque specs when you did the rebuild. It sounds like you are leaking everywhere, and that just doesn't sound right. I know things have to settle out and tighten up after your initial run, but that just sounds a little excessive to me. You might want to recheck things.............
  16. I think the best advice would be to listen to your builder, I mean after all he built your motor and stands by his work. If you don't follow his directions and you have problems its your fault and don't go cryin' to him because you now have a busted bike. But in the case of the poster, you built your own motor, but I still think that I would call a reputable builder and find out what they think is best. Anyway good luck.............
  17. I'll have to double check, but I think my T-5's also only use one spring on each pipe. I'll have to look again, but yes however many there are they are stock springs..........
  18. That was civil, I like that better than the trash talking that normally happens. But I guess it is kinda like a traffic accident, you know you should keep going and ignore it, but ya just gotta slow down and see what happened. Some of them are funny as hell though. I'm personally trying to figure out how to get an avatar picture. Everytime I try it, it tell me error or no permission or some $hit and doesn't work. I can build a computer from scratch, but can't place a little picture on my screen name (what a lame-ass)..............
  19. So let me get this straight, all these woman are getting C-sections to avoid the anti-christ baby. Man there is going to be a lot of demonic children running around, for those that cant afford the surgery. I think most of them now are satans spawn, so what's the difference. Most them can't be controlled by their parents as it is. Great there goes the neighborhood..........
  20. Ya thats what I read from previous posts, after a while they cloud over or get a film on them and don't look very impressive after that. Maybe if you change the fluids or the tubes more often then maybe that wont happen. Good luck...........
  21. Sweet ride, but I agree with those above you need to know what you are playing with before you hurt yourself severely. If you seriously don't know what's what on your shee, I think you are playing with fire............ Thats a lot of power for a beginner, but just lookin' out for ya, don't want to add you to the statistics list this year. By the way if you don't want the seat cover let me know, it would look pretty cool on my black and red shee......... .
  22. I too have never heard anyone say that, well until now. But think about it, even if it were true, which I say is crap, but the worst thing is you would let it cool down and warm up gradually. Which technically, is a good thing anyway, but I do not think that it is a neccesity. I think you need to look for a more knowledgable builder, or explain your question better to your existing one. The cub will be a lot faster, but hey, listen to your builder and then look for me at Sand Mountain NV. Dumont or Glamis. I'd love to race your alternatively build Shee. Good luck man...............
  23. Yes the install is very easy, just time consuming unless you do this for a living. The directions that come with the plate will tell you exactly where to drill the holes. you do need to look under the bed though to make sure that you don't drill through wires or any other important item on your truck. $1400 seems awfully high to me, but I got mine from a local dealer in Yuba City California for $600. That was the plate and the slider for my wifes short box, but later I put it on my long box and now just have more room between the cab and trailer. If you are getting quotes around $1400 I would check around......
  24. If you are still pretty much stock then just run premium fuel. You don't need to run anything higher than that unless you increase your compression above 165. Then you will need to run AV gas or race fuel only because you need to lower the flash point in the cylenders to stop detonation. These fuels will also burn slower which in turn does not create as much heat. So at this point just run 91 or 93 if you can get it...........
  25. You need to do a plug chop no matter what to see if you are jetted right, but yes you are changing atmospheric conditions when you go from Cali to Missouri. No matter where you are, sea level is still sea level, so if you are higher or lower than you were before you are going to have to probably change internal settings in your carbs.........
