Another thing with 2 strokes is that when you change the plugs or even just to check the plugs. This is a great way to check how the internals are running inside the motor. If the air fuel mixture is off, plugs or any number of things are messed you this gives you the opportunity to fix the problem before it becomes a severe problem. If it does become a severe problem it is a lot cheaper to fix a two stroke than a fourpoke, and not only that but it is also a lot cheaper to increase torque and horsepower. For example my brother put 1500-1700 hundred into his craptor and he gained more horsies, but if you put that kind of money into a Shee motor, that bike is going to scream. I mean 2300 and you have a motor that will put you up in the 80-90 horse range, which doubles the stock horsepower. You'd have to spend a hell of a lot more than that to get those numbers out of a 4-poke. Just my .02

And if you cant read that look at your registration............ -
I would like to know what you are running and what kind of riding do you do with your Shee? Now plus six doesn't give you much agility in the dunes, but a plus four is a handful with hill shooting. Come on lets hear it..........

Tighten it till it starts getting really tight, then if it starts to loosen up again you went to far . No, just yankin' your chain, odaen sounds correct............
-
Fasterthanu, man punctuation is your friend You have to be fast to say all that in one breath. Just yankin' your chain...........

That is what I run and they are awsome pipes. I don't think they ever changed the pipes design and when they did they made the T-6's. I think if it is working why change it unless they can improve on the style of pipe for more performance.

Nutcase what is your compression, because if it is as high as I think it is, you are playing with fire . You are on the crazy side if this is what you are doing with 93 octane. Good Luck guys
-
What do you mean the hard way, there's another way........
-
I would run higher octane. Once you get to 160-165 you have to fun race fuel and since you advanced the timing also you should be running race fuel. You may get away with 100LL, but you will need to check your plugs and pay attention to the motor. The 100LL may even be too low, but I think that someone else will chime in if this is wrong. If you step up to race fuel it is usually 110 octane, and with your increased pressure you are going to need the higher octane and your engine will run cooler too. Anyway good luck man.........

Which ever builder you choose I would contact people on the HQ who have had work done by them. Thats what I did and after being referred by reputable members I gave Jeff at FAST a call and as soon as I finish my shipping crate it's on its way. You just need to do a little homework..........

Dirt Wheels magazine has a lot of vendor's, in fact I think that they have too many, but hey I guess they have bills to pay too. I do think that they need to get more articles and tests on new parts though. Motosport.com has great customer service and good prices..............Just my .02

Does this sync tool only work for idle adjustment or can you lock the throttle in a position (half throttle) and measure that too? I thought that if it was sync'ed at idle that it would be all through the slide movement, but then again at idle the slides are at rest and one throttle cable may be just a hair off from the other. But then if you adjust it for half throttle then wont it throw off the idle setting that you just adjusted the carb for? Am I just over-analizing this, or is it just for idle slide position? Stop the madness...................

I agree with odaen on the pilot, 27.5 with a main that fat..........

Now that was funny.....................

All Hail club more power.........

Yea, that's what I was thinking. I just thought that I would ask the question, but yes I already thought about the gearing and paddle thing. thanks man....................

I was just wondering why when you look at swingarms you get then in even 2 inch increments. I do majority dune and logging road runnin' and was thinking about a +5. I hear that +4 is great for duning and a +6 is good for dragging, so with a cub motor would a +5 be better than the +4? Just a thought, because you can order them any length..........

You need to call Thunder Products, because I think some of the information above may not be totally accurate. When I bought mine I was told to jet my bike without them on, then step down one jet size after adding the unit. With the unit on you can go up three main jet sizes and down three jet sizes from where you start. For example perfect jetting without dial-a-jet 320, so you put in a 310 and add the dial-a-jet. Now you have the ability to go down to a 280 and up to a 340. This thing only compensates for different elevations and/or temp changes by adding more or less fuel to the incoming charge. So twisting a little knob is a lot easier than taking your carb apart when you ride at different elevations. There was an article in Dirt Wheels a couple of years ago and the test subject rode at 1000 or so feet and then with the dial-a-jet went to 6000 or 7000 feet and only turned the dial-a-jet and the bike ran great. Of course this means a few more plug chops to make sure that the dial number that you are on is the right one for the elevation. But hey, once you know which number it is supposed to be you can just put it there next time and then change it back when you return home. Another positive is that the fuel that it added is atomized because of the way it is delivered instead of poured into the carbs. They claim that it is like fuel injection thus gaining a little power, but I am unsure about that. No, I don't sell the things, but I was given one for Christmas so I did a little research, well maybe a lot, before I would even consider putting it on my Shee. and when I get my bike back together I am going to try mine out and I'll let you know......................

Hey, gotta start 'em out right No, just thought that it was funny and I just remember the shit the other person caught when they did it. I might not sound like it but I was just tryin' to help, and save the ridicule..........
-
Sounds like you are trying to plug either your ebay auction or your friends. Not tryin' to start shit, but it just looks a lot like the, "Hey do you have problems keeping your front end down, you need a wheelie bar", post a week or so ago. Otherwise, you should get your pictures on the post and if people want the grills they will ask where you got it. Just an FYI..............
-
I agree with beerman. I think that you adjusted the carbs to run with that amount of air and fuel, it just happened to be backwards. I thought that there were guides or grooves in most carbs that would only allow the slides to go in one way. Bottom line is if they are backwards turn them around and start over. If the bike is running worse, then something else is wrong and that needs to be corrected............

Contact Dave at NOSS and he'll set you up with an anodized Blue Black or red head with what ever domes you choose. He goes by dlnoss on here and is a great guy to deal with. This way the cooling channels in the head are much better than stock and with the smaller domes you get more power, plus it looks bitchen on top of your motor..........

A tooth brush did that!!!! Now was this already shiny and you polished it up or was it the dull oxidized aluminum color and then you shined it up? The die grinder and the dremel idea sound pretty good too, thanks for the ideas guys.............
