start by checking your bulbs, with a meter, then start working your way back till you find power, sould only be one of a few things or maybe a few of the few things.. lol ... could be's 1) bulbs are bad, even bad bulbs can fake it for a while it the filament touches however, this is unlikly 2) dirt or corrosion in the on off switch.... take it off and pull it apart to check, rebuild and use electrical grease inside 3) short in wire,,, like stated above,,, wiggle wires and see if they come on 4) crap in a plug or plug not put together tight,,,,, it is most likely a short or a plug, maybe the light fixture....

you have to drain the system,,,, or mop the fluid out of the cylinders and the off the floor

Temp and Tach Gauge Wiring Help?!?!
pimpeinkc replied to r4mclaren's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
the stator puts out ac,,,, which is run threw the rectifier which converts it to dc,,, 12 volts,,,, my trail tech lights are 12 volt dc and they work great... lol the red is 12 volt positive ,, dc voltage is always red positive and black ground, the other wires are either a "on wire" or for another funtion which would make them "red" or positive, one black and the rest "red","positive"////// -
any should work, i would get the delrin bushings from trinity
-
is the p.c oven home made?
-

well, not everyone works with a machine shop in the building,,, my first, and let me tell you, when they are not looking, i grab the mill and what ever i am either making or repairing and get on it.... that sounds right to me, make sure you get a stainless steal bolt for it, so it don't rust and i would go with the 9/16 sorry joe. but that way when your dumb ass strips it out again you still have a size bigger to go to... lmao good luck, oh, and since it is where it is, i would think as long as you are carefull you should be able to do it with the motor together, just be carefull. do it with the motor nice and level, not with the bike stood up if you know what i mean. drill and tap slow so you don't sling chips inside it, besides that size bit needs to go slow. then take the oil you have just drained, run it threw a filter/screen or something, dump it back threw to rince the chips, i would stick my finger up in there first and get what you can,,,,, i had to do something like this to my warrior back in the day.

tap size 9/16-18 drill size 33/64 9/16-12 31/64 5/8-18 37/64 5/8-11 17/32 don't have the decimal equivilent chart next to me.....
-
that is what i was thinking, and if it is not that.. maybe a shift fork.. hope not, good luck
-
i have seen a 50 hp yfz spank almost every one, i have both, yfz450 43 hp 27torque - banshee 48 hp 35lbs torque, it is a close race and the yfz wins most the time, maybe it is traction, but i am putting my money on the different transmissions
-
or..... you could go and tap it to a different size, sae bolts come in many different sizes and there might be one just a touch bigger, i am not sure what size the hole is....

no pic's right now, it is a friends, imagine a stock blue bike, then add t-5's and that is what you will get, bike is in great shape. if there is anyone serious, i will hound him for a pic. but if the above description is not what you are in the market for or you have no cash, it is not really worth it... thanks

i think of all paint, powder coat is the best,,,, for the most part that is, general use. it is durabule, chemical resistant, and can take a few hundred degrees like it aint shit..... and i myself have a p.c. gun, and paint, i did not go that route with my cylinders... i thought i would try out the high temp, 1000* stuff, but brake cleaner ate it off. so i thought since brake cleaner is my favorit of all cleaners, what besides p.c. would be able to hold up to the heat and chemicals... so, of course, the only option was brake caliper paint, they have it in lots of colors, it is made with ceramic to withstand the heat,,, 500* i think. and the gloss red went on quick and easy.... just a thought.... good luck

Question..Manifolds Trinity Stage IV...
pimpeinkc replied to 99Banshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
does the lip stick out into the id of the carb. if you put the carb on it, and lift the slide, do you see the lip? the lip is there i am sure to keep your carb from falling in, so i would leave it unless it is in the way of the inlet. just my .02 -
that is what i have used in my banshee ever since i bought it.

when i had my warrior, i broke a shock out at little sahara, no one had any, and this was my first time at the dunes. to make it worse, it was the first day of a 3 day weekend, so i looked for cheap altenitive, ended up with a set of raptor shocks, had to force them in, rode better, jumped better. i loved them, it did meke my bike sit up higher, but i never had any trouble, if i had the 450 shocks on there, i bet it would have been that much better..
