  1. that is a heat seize from over heating and if it has happened repeatedly the same way. i would look at your water pump first thing. you can tell by the way the piston from 3 months ago is rounded off on the exhuast side. you may be running a bit lean which is speeding along the process of heat siezing. that is kind what my pistons looked like when the blades melted off my impellar. i see you have a high flow impellar check the plastic gear that drives it. good luck.
  2. in the picture it looks like the puller is cross threaded. those pullers are kinda cheaply made buy another and try again. i had one pull the threads off the part that screws in the fly wheel.

  4. i bought one of these units less than a year ago rode my bike five times and it crapped out. i called the company and was told that they had a bad batch and to send in for an exchange. i sent it in and a week later recived the wrong cdi. so i sent it back with a note with the right part number. a week later i get the right one and put it on got a twenty minute ride and it started the same shit. so i emailed the sales manager and explaind what was going on and that this would be the third unit in less than two months and that i wasn't going to pay for more shipping. she assured me that she would personally send me out a new unit that had the problem fixed free of charge. three days later i get the new unit and in stall it, bike wont even fire. i called her up and told her that i had the same problem again. she told me to send back both units and that they would refund my money plus shipping charges. i know for a fact that it is the cdi because i can swap it with my friends stock unit and i fire right up in 1 or 2 kicks. i just wanted to let every one know what kind of product this is and not to waste your time and money. any one got a stock cdi that they wanna part with cheap? if not i hit up ebay. need to get my bike tuned perfect for the planet sand king of the hill in may. by the way any fellow hqer gonna head out to fallon memorial weekd end?
  5. i am gonna get some nerfs and a lowering kit. i have a stock swing arm and chain so i can swap out with my +6 in a short preiond of time. the local dirt track is having 5 atv races this year and i thought that i would give it a shot.my mods are listed in my signature, what gearing should i run, currently 15 /41
  6. i run one just because during my rebuild i knocked my balance tube on the floor and steped on it and flatened one side. i plugged the holes and developed an air leak after two rides. the boost bottle was in a box of parts my step dad had given me. for the people that say they feel a differance or notice better throttle reponse. i believe that they really want to feel an improvement so them they do instead of admitting they got ripped off. it's like a sugar pill if you belive that it will work, it will.
  7. i have nice hot spark first thing checked. i haven't had time to swap my jets out and give it a try yet may be tomarrow.
  8. they are and the float bowls on the right sides and the choke tube is conected, the reeds are brand new. the plugs are new. all the obvious stuff is the way it's supposed to be

  10. that's jetting not getting. ok here goes, all my mods are in my signature. it ran great in the oregon coast over christmas. 32.5 pilot needle second clip frome the top 320 mains air screw two turns out. now i am at 4300 ft and its 40 degrees. i have good spark 170 psi compression both sides. i dropped the pilot to 30's and the mains to 310's. the plugs are wet with gas . it started for about 20 secs and then bogged out and died twice and now won't start at all. i a really frustrated any help would be appreciated.
  11. i run them, they sound allot like t5's alittle deeper tone untill you get on top and then they sream like nothin else. they are loud around 105 db with out the spark arrester, with arrester don't know never run it. good mid and top end pipe they pull allot harder than fmf fatties and about the same as t5's. they sound sick, deffinatly turn heads. they are louder than cpi inframes by far.
  12. what ever you do don't pay the 20 dollar fast shipping from bike bandit i ordered the same washer last wednesday and paid the 20 dollar rush shipping so i could ride last weekend and still haven't got it. as far as running with out it i wouldn't.
  13. found the problem! the screw between the shift star and shift shaft that has the lock nut on it that the centering spring goes around broke.

  15. at rmatv add ow either to the beging or the end (don't remember) of your filter part number and you get you outerwear p/n.
  16. from the top of the front part of the swing arm monut (round part) to the nearest part of the carrier mount (C shaped part) is 17 3/4 inches aproxamately.
  17. 15 maybe 16 front 41 or so on rear.

  19. ok so i go out to sand mountain and pay 40 bucks . take off up the hill and my shifting just doesnt feel right and i can get past 3rd at all after several tries. i head down to the bottom of the hill and stop ( one run up the hill for 40 bucks ). down shift to 1st and notice that the shift lever falls all the way down and dosen't pop back to zero like it should and its imposible to find neutral. so i limp back to the truck and shut it down. while playing with the shifter and rocking the bike back and forth i get it in neutral and the shifter fall back down to the bottom. every time you pull up on the shifter it sounds like it grabs a gear and every time you push down on it it does the same same thing? any ideas? i'm thinkin shift shaft maybe a spring. shift star is modded. shifter will not stay up.
  20. i just got mine. they look like a quallity product, don't know any long term yet only got two short rides on them. way better throttle responce. can't really tell if i got a power gain haven't got a chance to open it up all the way. any thing is better than stock.
