  1. smooth as in no blades or remnits of blades. prestone 50/50
  2. so i got a billit water pump (just to make sure that my bike doesn't get hot like it did when it blew). i was positive that my jetting was dead on and it wasn't detonating when she let go. so i go to put in the new billet job and bingo there it is the cause of all my heart ache. the stock impellar is compleatly smooth. let this be a lesson to all even if you haven't had a problem and the stocker is still in there spend the money and get a billet one. it will save you money in the long run.
  3. no it's not on the reservation. i go out there all the time and have never seen any indians out there to pray or what ever other than shooting thier fat asses up the hill right beside me on thier quads. then again i don't think that they wear feathers any more.
  4. just because they put efi on a new motor and an aluminum sub frame on its still a raptor. when i rode one it felt a little more stable than the old 660 and a little more hp and torque and thats about all the improvement i felt. besides i don't ride a banshee for smooth power i ride it because the power lets you know that its there when it hits. i like feathering the clutch and allways bangin gears you actually get something out of your imput thats riding baby and if you are bothered by that kinda stuff thats why they make four strokes.
  5. i thought about it. sounded like a winner to me. try it and tell it how it is

    Rim size?

iv'e been told that larger diameter rims will bend easier on big jumps and rocks and stuff so to get the same strength as an 8 inch .125 rim you need to get the.190s and you'd be golden 10's look so much better.
  7. those twin rib itp fronts are bad ass i love them.
  8. very time consuming. i was doing it on mx kx 500 for about 2 hours and said screw this. i wish banshee plastics were like my 500's 20 bucks a piece.
  9. 33 pwks all the way, lighten the fly wheel also for faster revs
  10. nine times out of ten it is going to be the pick up coil gap as said before. make sure that you check the conectors to ,my ricky stator conector pushed out a pin also.
  11. i went to duneguide.com and it said that its about a forty square miles of riding area but the are no peaks that reach over 100 ft high. so i don't know i think that i'll check it out some day.
  12. i live in fallon nv about 30 mins from sand moutain and i'm kinda getting tired of the same old thing. don't get me wrong i love the place but change and new places to ride are good IMO. i have been wandering about winamuca sand dunes for a while but i just can't bring my self to drive 2 1/2 hours to ride crap. any one ever riden there? how is it?
  13. ported and piped 250's with or with out power vavles can't even get close. by the time i hit fourth they are about 300 yard back and fading fast. my bad on those hp estimates it more like 65 rwhp with around the same or slightly higher torque number and its not just ported. this is all just rough estemates. it does feel like alot more than it actually is ,but who really needs to be going over 100 mph on two wheels in the dirt any way right. trie to attach a dyno shee but it too big
  14. make sure the tors box on the left side under the tank is disconected it will have three wires coming out of it. if its still there diconect it take it off and throw it in the trash. the green and yellow (park brake wires) will not effect the electircal if the tors is gone. as far as timing it all depends on what type of riding you wanna do if you wanna hill shot and drag go with +7 if you want to just dune and trail and play around go with +4. hope this helps. good luck. if you still have no joy do a search for unofficial hq eletirc faq, it will help tons
  15. i belive that my kx500 ported and piped, 40 mm carb is pushing between 70 and 75 hp i know that a banshee with a 7 mil hot dune port is pretty even. power to weight ratio is what that is all about though. my kx weighs 215 lbs. theres alll the power you'll ever need through out the rpm range pullin wheelies in fourth just rollin on the throtle going up sand moutain. i'm gonna bore it to a 520 after i get my shee back up.
  16. i run a procom enginering cdi paid $149 for it off ebay it works great. it doesn't have all that fancy adjustments like the dyna. when it comes down to budget a a guy does what he can. i was sceptical about there product but was happy with it up until i blew the motor on my bike. just my 2 cents
  17. no one has any thing to say. it must be a stupid idea then i guess.
  18. get a dirt wheels and look through the ads
  19. recreationtire.com is the cheapest ive found for all tires. i bought my paddles on douglas red dots for $155 shipped $70 less than rocky mountain. and the shipped way fast not that rockymoutain doesn't ship fast.
  20. none of my bars have splines. just degree indicators for referance points. on my pro taper on the shee or the renthal fat bars on my kx 500.
  21. the other day i was in my friends harley shop and was looking at the msd two input wire (old style) coils and it got me thinkin. could a guy use one of these coils on his banshee. it apears to be the same style of coil as the she's but it is a differn't shape. and other than the resistance posibly being to high i don't personaly see why it wouldn't work. what do you guys think.
  22. not really because the both fire at the same time. it is harder to get the shorter one on an off though if you have them switched. but i do have after market wires so that is probably only my problem.
  23. i run a procom enginering cdi and i really didn't notice much of a differance at all. i say replace your stock cdi with and after market one only when the stock shits out on you. and then after market is cheaper than stock and will last longer
  24. wickedatv.com that the one
  25. well i guess that i'm going with the passion 12 port then. and that is not like i'm setteling because that was my first choice. i was just looking around.
