  1. they both have a similar power curve, but the t5's sign on about 900 rpm's later and fall off later, making them a high revving pipe.. I would go with the fattys personally...other little things like gearing and such play their parts too
  2. tell us where you ride and we will tell you the exhaust that suits you
  3. you can get to high 40's/ 50 with pipes alone...and with little bolt ons/mods 50+. 1500 should be more than enough for building a duner. the way "I" would go is with davemooreracing.com ... a member here has dealt with him I think mp350
  4. the transfers, intake, and exhaust port is what is involved in porting. these are modified or reshaped depending on what type of power curve/porting you want. and yes you will see a power increase...but its really all about how you want to setup your bike
  5. i hear dg's arent too good over stock...just get some fatty's to go with the silencers
  6. they are good trail pipes, atv source did a review on them go search their website. run the psi silencers with them
  7. only if you wheelie... the silencer will scrape since its below the grab bar...push the throttle (member of the boards) cut his silencer off 2" from the back, that should prevent it from scraping.
  8. damn give the guy a break, at least help him out dont put him down.
  9. fatty's, dmc's, or pt mids
  10. he's saying only bore when you need to, as in if you blow a top end and the pistons mess up the sleeve. if your just rebuilding and your sleeves are fine all you need to do is hone and put a new set of pistons in. no you dont need to port it when you rebuild your top end but if you want more power yes. porting is the best thing you could do on a banshee, just wakes up the motor even more, I would suggest you do it.
  11. you answered your own question. when you change air flow you have to change your jetting to balance out the fuel to air ratio and have your quad runing right.
  12. most pipes can yield good top end with different porting arrangements. what kind of riding do you do?
  13. fatty's or dmc's are pretty good all round pipes.
  14. also, only bore it if you have too. if your sleeves are fine just get a hone job and drop a set of pistons in and your good to go.
  15. alot of other things play a role in dragging. dont just base the pipe you want on hp, keep in mind of torque, gearing, and also the rider. most stock motors w/ pipes put out about 50+ hp jetted correctly. anyways, those yfz450's are quick off the line i might add.
  16. I really dont think so. 250r shocks are inches longer than banshee shocks
  17. dmc's and toomeys got my vote. the 916's sound so badass though
  18. damn man that is one cheap ass price for all the stuff you've done to it.
  19. i use the oil and cleaner on a uni, I would have to say it's worth it. never hear of their air filters though, just run a uni using their filter oil should be the same.
  20. no problem at all man. I think you will be happy with the cub setup. I would call patriot and dan should help you setup your cub better than I can.
  21. no you will not benefit at all, you would actually loose performance. stock carbs outperform anything on a stock engine, you would benefit from a 2 in 1 carb though but not 34mm duals
  22. lol would you stop reviving 2 year old posts?
  23. sredish makes a good point. i guess that's why most riders switched to the 4 strokes, alot easier to ride, less fatique, smooth powerband, lots of torque. it all depends on where you ride. tight trails would be pretty difficult for a banshee, whereas more open trails (more road/hills and no trees) would be suitable. in the dunes and the desert a banshee is a must. I ride in open trails where a banshee would suit me, that's what helped me with my choice to get one soon. it's really not all about who's faster but what area your machine performs best. I ride the trails with a few shee's and they have no problems because its all open road/mountains/ hills like I said.
  24. i'd have patriot build your cub. the cylinders and spec1 porting is about $1025, 28mm pwk carbs about 300 (give or take) new, new pistons about 160. you can use your stock head and stock reed cages, etc. then you have to get pipes, aftermarket reeds, and alot of other stuff but it would run you a good 2000 to build. look here for more info, http://www.patriotracing.net/Cheetah%20Cub.htm . just letting you know these motors are all about top end.
  25. takes about a grand out of your spending money for the cylinders w/ porting, then you have you have to pay for all the other stuff. you can put out some real power with the stock cylinders just find someone who knows how to do it. if you want a cub go ahead, but think about your options/spending limit.
