  1. never heard of them... I would just stick with a stock one. They are more than proven, and work well.
  2. Something tells me your going to have some massive air leaks around those intakes. LOL
  3. Looks like streetbike carbs. Probably Mikuni. Careful, some of them have a pressure reference line that would hook to the streetbikes airbox and dump extra fuel at higher rpm suction levels.
  4. Maybe you're posting them in the wrong forum and they are getting moved...?
  5. Pretty sure someone with some good fab skills could duplicate it for less than half the cost.
  6. I like to pump it up to 70psi.
  7. I think with the +8 swingarm, you would be good with a 21x12x8 10-paddle hauler. You're not making enough power to need the extremes.
  8. Jon, you don't need a second engine... just don't blow up your cheetah beast and you will be fine. lol
  9. A general cleanup port can be done at home no problem. Smooth out intake runners, remove casting flaws, sand and polish the exhaust port... It can be done at home. As for changing angles or port window heights... leave it to the pro's. Give kevin at HJR a call. He does some awesome port work. Very professional guy.
  10. Thanks again root! Great seller here everyone!
  11. The aluminum ones wear faster, the steel ones are stronger. The aluminum ones have a lower rotating mass. If you are drag racing, and shooting for low weight setup then go with the aluminum ones. If you are looking for long life go with the steel. There are also some other metals they make sprockets out of that will last a long time and are light weight. Titanium, chromoly, etc. They are more expensive though. Edit: I would stick with a reputable chain manufacturer.
  12. With 190 static compression I think you would be ok with 100 octane. Try it and watch for signs of detonation. If you see/feel any, then step up to a 50/50 mix of 100/110. If you still feel it, then go to the pure 110. For the price of the high octane fuel you're better off just swapping to methanol or putting different domes in and going to pump gas. Even if you drop back to 165-175psi static you could save money and run 50/50 mix of pump gas and 100.
  13. Thanks for the offer man, but I can't trade good domes for ones with messy threads. Thanks though.
  14. Photobucket will automatically re-size your pics. Its one of the settings on the upload feature. All my pics I upload are 3.1MP and I just have photobucket resize them to 800x600. You can also re-size the pics in Microsoft Image Editor, which is built into windows. Edit: You can email them to me and I'll upload them for you if you'd like. [email protected]
  15. Those are the craziest powerjets I have ever seen. Do they come with the slides, needles, and all the hardware associated with them?
  16. O-rings around your pipes, or you have a small crack or pin-hole in your pipes somewhere and your getting the burned gas/oil from the exhaust up on your front end.
  17. You could always use "the force" to tighten the nut. Last time I tried this I gave myself an aneurysm and had to have brain surgery, but I am pretty sure I almost got that nut to turn.
  18. What the fuck. Seriously. Someone go kill that guy and do the gene pool a favor.
  19. You can do it yourself, but its a lot easier to just send them out and get it done. If someone with access to a mill does them, all the cuts will be perfectly square a lot cleaner than doing it yourself. Basically just cut the gears that have 6 dogs on the sides of them. (Can't remember which ones they are off the top of my head). You will have to disassemble your trans to do this though. I know Kevin at HJR can do this for you. Give him a call. His number is in my signature. - Jared
  20. Thanks! I was looking for one of those a while back as well... Saved that link in my favs.
  21. I bought a bone stock 2006 banshee off the showroom floor back in 2006. Took it out to theshee's place and beat it up for a day. Took it home and tore it all apart and put all the parts in boxes. Used it all for spare parts over the next few years. I don't think I have any of the parts left from it any more. LOL! I've had a couple 2006 models... traded one, tore the others apart. It is kinda nice to have one that you know exactly what's been done to it and don't have to worry about the history or maintenance on it.
  22. Unless you do a lot of drag racing, I would step down to a 28, 30 or 32mm carb. Maybe a 33pwk. The smaller carbs will help a lot with throttle response. You will get a stronger signal across the dump tube and it will be a little easier to tune. 35's are a little big for a stock stroke unless you're only drag racing. JMO. I would keep the cool head and just buy some different domes for it. I'd look for some 28 keihins or some 32 mikuni's. You will get a bunch of different opinions on this one. It all comes down to your budget and what you think would work best for what you're doing with the banshee.
