  1. The top of your piston will act as the floor on the ports. It will run, but wont be optimal. Grab a 4mil crank and do it right the first time.
  2. Keep in mind a lot of snowmo engines are set up with the belt drive to hold engine rpm close to where max torq is produced, which is generally a lower rpm number. Banshee engines have a trans not a belt drive and in most cases need to utilize the upper rpm range, which is where the 2into1 falls off. Just because it works for one application does not mean it will work in others. It is well proven by quite a few different people in different applications that 2 smaller carbs out-perform 1 single carbs with a 2into1 intake system. Jared
  3. Look into a 4mil small-block twister.
  4. For the cost of a crank rebuild you can just get a new crank. Junk the cyls and get some aftermarket cylinders and some custom domes. Jared
  5. If you keep the 2into1 intake, get an E series needle. EEJ or something close to that. The lean hang / rev is a fuel starvation issue or air leak. The coolant leak can be fixed with a copper washer and some acorn nuts. Jared
  6. LoL my girl figured out pretty quick that i will blow a considerable amount of money on my banshee and not care what she thinks about it.
  7. Why in the hell would you build a 4mil without getting a good port-job? Fail.
  8. Check the techical info section, i have a bottom end assembly walkthrough in there that might help you decide what to replace. Any time i do a bottom end i try to replace the folowing: Flywheel key Water pump o-ring PTO gear lock washer Clutch nut lock washer Both crank seals Output shaft seal Idler gear shim, washer, and snap-ring Shift segment adjustment cam bolt & lock washer Clutch arm spring, seal and washer Bead-blast your cases Get a shift pro kit Do the shift star mod Dont forget to grease your clutch rod and ball Side-cut your gears if you have enough time/money Do the shift shaft mod Put 2nd bearing on the end of the shift drum Port match your top case
  9. How much compression you have? Compression ratio? Squish clearance? Timing? Ported at all? If you have a good quality drag port on top of the factory castings, there may not be much you can really do. Bump timing up, raise compression, Nd some tuning. If you are after some good low end grunt and midrange, sell the cub and try to get a serval or a small-block twister, or even a set of dune or mx port stock cylinders. -jared
  10. Sniper, Shearer or CPI. You will be happy with any of those three.
  11. Bump it up a few at a time and check your tune each time you change.
  12. Are Artillery pieces allowed @ the target shoot?
  13. Put on your big girl panties and hit that motherfucker.
  14. 21x12x8 9-paddle extreme, 22x11x8 10-paddle hauler, 21x12x8 10-paddle hauler. <---Any of these would work good for you. Adjust your gearing appropriately once you have your new paddles. Stick with a nice light-weight douglas rim. -Jared
  15. a single carb banshee doenst run good.
  16. Anything from a 35-39 or even 40mm carb will work for what you're trying to do. Wide open throttle drag runs... you want to make as much air available to the engine as it wants to consume. Just keep in mind that as the carb size increases the signal across the dump tube will decrease. check out the jetting and exhaust forum, there's plenty of guys who have run the same setup you are asking about. -Jared
  17. LoL. Thanks to fuckbama here pretty soon you can just trade your .223 "assault/military" weapon for a fucking car or house they will be so artificially inflated. GLWS
  18. Pretty nice of the dude to take the few min and run the numbers for everyone. We can all learn from stuff like this, and its much appreciated any time someone is willing to share knowledge or expertise like this. Thanks jim. Jared
  19. The factory studs are held in with what is supposed to be a permanent loctite material. If you heat the stud up hot enough to exceed the yield temp of the loctite it will fail, and the studs will come out with very little effort. The cases are aluminum and will act like a giant heat-sink, so it will take quite a bit of heat on the stud. I preheat my cases in an oven to about 350, then take a cherry head on the torch to the top of the stud. Get it red hot and move down about half way on the stud. Let it sit for a few and the heat in the stud will eat up the loctite. I've only had a couple cases that this was needed on, but this proceedure will work if they are being a bitch. Jared
  20. Headed there tonight! If its not good I reserve the right to kick your goat in the nuts. lol
