  1. Everyone always thinks their stuff is worth more than what they actually get for it. Its how it always goes.
  2. an 80's banshee for 4k? Good luck on your sale.
  3. I think if its a problem you encountered, it should be said. Did you request it be made that small or did the person just do it that small on their own? If you didn't request it like that, it should be said who did it, unless they are going to buy it back from you and replace with a good one. JMO.
  4. One thing you are over-looking is the head. The super cub uses a different style head. You can't use your stock banshee head on the super cub, you have to get one of the special ones that's made for the super cub. Check out planetsand.com they have a LOT more info on them over there.
  5. That sucks man. Hope you can get it back together and back out tearing up the dunes! I will look through my boxes of banshee crap and see if I can find you a flywheel.
  6. Check your compression. If you got it to run by popping the clutch, but can't get it to go by kicking it, maybe your compression is just too low. Do a compression check and see where its at. The fact that someone else suppoedly jetted it for the 370cc jobby is scary. Did they give you some chopped plugs to prove to you they did it right or did they just tell you... yeah, I know what I'm doing and throw some jets in there that they read off some stupid little que sheet they got with the kit. You are probably just over-looking something simple. Take a day away from it and just forget it and come back later with a clear head and look over EVERYTHING again. Did you check your pickup coil gap? Put in a set of new plugs, cut your coil wires back about a quarter inch and re-screw in your plug caps, check for a good ground at the coil and stator and CDI. Double check your plugs everywhere, check for good spark again, yank the carbs and check ALL your jets, clean the carbs again just for good measure, adjust your floats while you are in there too, check all the TORS junk, sync your carbs, check your compression.... If all else fails, give your shee to me. =)
  7. If the port job is good its probably just a jetting issue. The the port job is whack then it will totally screw you up like that. ::
  8. I used to say I would always buy a used one with a few mods. But man, let me tell you... to finially have a BRAND NEW banshee, that you know no one else has touched or fuggered up some how is truely a great feeling. Its amazing. Its nice to know everything on the bike is 100% factory and anythng you do to it is your own doing. I love it. It was worth the price of a new one IMO. - Jared
  9. There'a a link to a thread I made about splitting the cases in the guys sig above me. That will give you an IDEA of what's involved. Its a pretty simple task. I helped a buddy split his cases for the first time this past weekend. We went from an engine in the frame to split cases and had everything tore apart in an hour and 45min. If you have a good clean work environment and a friend to help out, its super easy man. Do it yourself. An override trans is not hard to install if you have one handy and have the cases split.
  10. Hang in there man, we all have troubles like this with these things sometimes. Its the nature of the beast. Did you pull your plugs and kick it over and check to make sure you are getting a good strong spark? Just because everything checks out to spec with what your manual says doesn't always mean the part is good. check to make sure you are getting good spark. Whats your jetting and mods? You sure your not too rich and drowning out your spark? It is possible. Too much gas and not enough air will make it so it won't even fire. What's your compression? Done a check lately? When a top end starts to wear out, they will start to get to be a bitch to start sometimes. Check and make sure you are getting a good STRONG spark, and check your pickup coil gap down by your flywheel. Get back to us and let us know what you find. EDIT: The spitting gas out of your over-flow lines is usually a float level problem. Check your float levels and adjust them to shut off gas a little earlier and see if that fixes it. If not, the seat on the valve the floats actuate may be getting worn.
  11. LOL Oooh... Burn! I rode a cub once and had one of my own a couple months later. I think I got damn near everything for ol blue in about a month or two. Never really totaled everything up though. I imagine for EVERYTHING I got changing over to my cub it was up over 2k. Swinger, roundhouse carrier, intakes, carbs, pipes, cubs, crank, head, domes, reeds... it all adds up quick. Damn two-strokes. ...and I'm doing it all over again with my 06! What the hell was I thinking getting that thing? LOL!
  12. I will be honest, I know I talk a lot of smack about my 450. But I'm not afraid to line up with people to prove it. Even if I know I will get beat I will still line up with someone. I race for fun. But yeah... when you know you are faster than someone its def. ok to talk smack. LOL But when you THINK you are faster its just gay to talk smack. I always tell tell those people to shut their mouth or line up and race. If you win, you can talk all the smack you want, but if you lose, you are filling my gas tank and washing my ride for me having to put up with the shit-talk that couldn't be backed up.
  13. Yeah, not a true story I'm willing to bet. I heard that exact same story back when I was in high school, and it was a caddy.
  14. I was never too turned on by any of those TV or music starlets. I seem to have ok luck with girls. They come and go, but I've never had any interest in TV girls. I like my girl just fine for right now. - Jared
  15. My cub was a lot of fun to dune on. Once you get used to the way the power hits and know how to use that to your advantage its a blast. When that four stroke buddy of yours comes creeping up on you, just grab another gear and slip the clutch a little.
  16. Speaking of working on your own stuff... here's some pictures from theshee's house this past saturday. Those cases look familiar for some reason.
  17. My stock banshee did alright against theshee's KFX700. I would say we were about even on the dirt roads and on pavement it all came down to whoever got out of the hole the best. Other than that a stock banshee and his KFX700 with whatever he had done were about even. Put some mods on the banshee and its another story though.
  18. LOL Stock YFZ's are no joke. Don't be upset because a stock-ish bike is finially up to par with the modded ones from a few years back. I've upset quite a few banshee owners out at the dunes with my YFZ. My YFZ runs damn skippy and I have spanked quite a few different bikes with it. Lots of fun.
  19. Not too bad looking. I might have to check into one of those when I finish my next banshee build. Its going to be a hell of a gas hog and I plan on duning it.
  20. Yeah, I bet he has it sitting in there right beside his 360 and just burned a box full of wood chips or an old PS1 or some shit.
  21. I was thinking about yanking the entire front plastics off my new banshee and selling them to try and get a set of white fullbores. Brand new white dumbo ears & gas tank shroud & rad cover. I don't know how much I would ask for them. $300 sounds a bit high to me, but heck, if you have someone that will pay it, go for it!
  22. I like to run mine around 330
  23. Yeah... 421 Cub With a single carb set up for trails. That gets a big Cubs are not meant for the trails. :shoothead:
  24. Forget bikes, where can I get my hands on a container full of illegal chinese weaponry? LOL
