  1. Nice, but you will find yourself going through shoes pretty fast. LOL
  2. Awesome video. Its nice to see the action, but i def. won't ever go there after seeing that video. That place is a huge accident waiting to happen. People telling me that me running around without a helmet is going to get places closed... Um no... its stuff like that, that is going to get places closed. That is just ridiculous. That many people all standing around all those retards going that fast on stuff that tore up with whoops. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for hauling ass, but not in those conditions. Think about it... what happens when some dude loses control and eats in into the crowd? What happens when a tire blows out and the junk flips all over the place or into another vehicle / person. Cool video and all, but I just any and all desire to go to the california dunes.
  3. Check out the link on my signature, it will answer your question.
  4. No, wasn't anything like that. We are on a good foot and still see eachother outside the relationship we had, so I would see it and she wouldn't do anything like that. Not her style.
  5. I just wish it could have been one of my bikes not the one I was building as a gift. I hate that.
  6. Well I had one of my on-going project bikes stolen out of my yard yesterday morning. Some time between 6:50am and noon. Had it inside a fenced yard (with snow fence through the links, so you can't see inside the yard unless you get up and look over the fence) Had a good sized chain through the frame and locked to the gas line going into my house, but I guess the lock didn't lock on it or they picked it. Lock was open, nothing cut when I came home at lunch and found it missing. Was in a hurry to leave and didn't have time to load in the truck so i locked it up outside and was going to pick it up at lunch and take down to work. Everything else was locked up in the garage and was not bothered. Black banshee frame, red plastics, YFZ450 engine in the frame. Chrome suspension front and rear, missing footpegs, bumper, grab bar, and a couple engine mounts that I had sent out to chrome. Basically a complete bike, minus the stuff i was waiting on to get back from chrome. Sorry, don't have any pics, was a surprise for someone so I was keeping it quiet. So much for that... If anyone sees it around the rock springs area, or anywhere else for that matter please let me know. I have my name, address, and phone number etched into the frame in a couple different spots, so I can identify it if I think I find it. Its a custom frame, gussetted by me personally so I will recognize it if I see it, and I garuntee they won't find all the spots I put my info on the frame... Just hate it because it was a surprise for a friend. I wouldn't be so upset if it were one of my bikes, but when it wasn't even something for me, it pisses me off. Don't worry, anyone who has sent me a frame for modifications, I keep those frames seperate from my personal stuff. Frames and stuff that doesn't belong to me is kept in a totally seperate location across town, inside a big-ass shop. Thanks. - Jared
  7. Sounds like a flawed crank to me. I've done it on lots of stock cranks and aftermarket ones with no problems at all. That or whoever did it before you didn't follow the proper torque specs and over-tightened something. :shoothead: Done that same exact thing with about 5 hotrods cranks with no problem at all.
  8. Yeah, you pretty much don't want any kind of wobble or movement in any of those gears in there, besides the big gear on the back of the clutch basket. It rides on little rubber bushing kinda things that will give it a little movement in the rotational axis. Any movement of any of the gears other than that is a no-no. It might be cheaper for you to just get the idler gear new than to try and replace the brass bushing in it.
  9. I run them on my banshees and my YFZ. I like them. If you don't run around spinning them like a retard all the time they will last a long time. I have had a set for over a year on my 4mil and now I use them on my YFZ. Still have about 70% tread. Don't run around spinning your tires everywhere you go and don't sit around doing donuts all the time and they will last just as long as any other tire out there. If you want some really good hookup, cut every other row of lugs off of them. Check out the tires loco runs on his 10mil. Its what gave me the idea. Kinda like a dirt paddle. LOL
  10. Check this pic out... This is a tad rich... You are really freaking rich just by looking at your pistons, or you are spending too much time lugging it around in too tall a gear or spending WAY too much idling.
  11. Are you using OEM circlips or ones you are getting from a hardware store? They ARE different. Make sure you are using OEM and make sure you are using the special OEM washer in there too. If your idler gear has any side to side or wobble movement, the brass bushing inside the gear is shot andyou need to replace that. If the gear moves any at all, it will just wobble around and walk the circlip out of place eventually.
  12. Sounds good! Always like to meet new people and go for a cruise. Just don't give up on your dream. There will be hard times when you just feel like you can't get it done, but hang in there and tuff them out, you never know what deals come up around the next corner. I had a couple things where I didn't know how I would afford them, but was at a point when I needed them, waited a week and caught them on ebay for like half of what I thought I would have to spend. - Jared K&T has a 1000+cc twin banshee. They custom made it and it uses sabertooth cylinders side by side instead of a cub or whatever. Custom crank and 100+mm pistons. Its pissing a lot of people off at the races. I want one so bad... The billet cases alone are over 2500 to make to fit the cylinders and crank that it runs on. LOL
  13. Looks like its sold to a local wyoming guy I ride with. If the sale falls through for some reason i will let everyone know with a post, but for now it looks like its sold. - Jared
  14. Looks like I have a local wyoming buyer for the quad as a whole, which is what I wanted to do. If the sale falls through for some reason i will post letting everyone know. thanks for interest in everything, but looks like its sold for now. - Jared
  15. Looks aren't everything! That's what makes pictures of porting so worthless really. As long as it gets up and runs like you want it to, that's all that matters. Could look like shat, but if it runs, who cares! You never see any of it anyway. Good to hear you like how it runs for you.
  16. I had a list like that and built ol blue in about a years time. Keep your mind to it and don't give up and you will have something you really enjoy. Then you will tear it apart and sell all of it for bigger and better things. LOL
  17. Come to the oil field in rock springs wyoming. Make really good money driving trucks and the big oil companies are desperate for drivers right now. Garuntee you would have a job within two or three days of filling out applications. The wanted ads at the job place are huge in the driver section. Especially for companies looking for class A / B drivers.
  18. Ditch the bottle, doesn't do diddly squat. Run the tube down your frame below your bike somewhere. If you are tuned right it won't ever do more than a couple drops once in a while.
  19. Actually, no she doesn't get on the HQ. I just have more respect for her than that, and even though we are not together, I still respect her.
  20. LOL, sure seems like night.
  21. When I was in college I lived with a couple guys who rode dirt bikes and I have a picture somewhere from a weekend when I had a banshee engine tore apart all over our living room, one room mate has his dirt bike tore apart in the kitchen and the other guy was riding his 125 up and down the hallways and stairwell of our apartment complex. It was funny as hell when management showed up and kicked us out.
  22. No. Just because I'm not with her any more doesn't mean that I don't respect her.
  23. LOL, those are just the gas cans... you should see the methanol collection of cans. Have about 20 cans full of methanol on the other side of the garage. I keep wanting to buy a clean new drum and just pour it all in there. I get methanol for free, so my methanol cans are always full. Sent you my phone #...
  24. That's what I always say about all the banshees I see for sale out there on the east coast. LOL I am interested in selling it as a whole bike right now, so I'm going to give it some time like that, if it doesn't sell, then I will start parting stuff out. I will let you know how much for the frame and pegs and other stuff if it gets to that point.
  25. Every port job is different. Just because one guy cuts them open that much doesn't mean every dune job is done like that. Just by looking at the intake running on those cylinders I probably would have said it was a drag port job. The intake has very little to to with where the power is made. Yes, it helps with flow rates and such, but the real power is made in the transfers and exhaust ports. Showing the intake doesn't tell you anything about the port job. It could even be a cleanup port that someone just went a little over-board on. LOL
